this place is awful prices are not clear, Wendy did a pedicure in me today and charged me $5 extra for callus treatment , then in stead of letting the teaspoon full of callus jell in a corner of a bag sit on my feet she came at me with a cheese grater. I told her 3 time STOP and pointed to the pumas sponge finally the 3rd time I took my foot away and said NO do NOT use that!!! my skin is very soft and this leaves razor like slashes on my feet that take months to heal. Thank God I took my foot away it is only my big toe that looks like hamburger. Then a brief lotion application and a gel polish that is pink not mauve. worse pedi ever. I will never return and going to file a complaint with state board with pictures of my grated toe. all this for $55 dollars. in Eugene at French Nails you get wax, scrub, hot stone massage, gel polish all for $60. When my fiance came in for an appointment Wendy and a guy (she thought his name is Bill) were so busy yelling at each other that she almost left because she was so uncomfortable. Well she should have. I guess Wendy was so rough with her that she is bleeding in several spots and apparently her nails are all crooked. So, save your money and go someplace else unless you enjoy people yelling at each other and ignoring their patrons. read more

Thank you so much for being the only place in Roseburg, or at least what feels like it, to take walk ins!!! I finally quit my food service job and wanted to get my nails done. Went to 3 other places that wouldn't even look at me because I didn't have an appointment. On top of it she gave me the cutest set ever of French tip nails. I made a last minute call at 11:30am hoping for a walk in appointment. They stated they were able to accommodate me at 12:15. I arrived early 11:45 and eventually was seated 12:30 for a full set gel nails. A little wait.... but hey, they were accommodating me last minute. My technician was such a sweetheart. She went above and beyond, and although a language barrier she was amazing! She even gave me a hug at the end, which just shows her passion for her work and creating a happy and returning customer. I saw the negative reviews, and I am glad I went there to prove they deserve 5 stars. Their prices are comparable to other local locations, in fact $5-$10 cheaper where I get mine done in Central Oregon. So at least a 20% tip is well deserved here. Soooo sick of the rudeness, inconsiderate NAIL TECHS there. I've given multiple chances, and it doesn't change. I've tried all the TECHS except 1 (She's sweet)...Nancy won't do ANYTHING except basic. Very basic. Constantly burns the skin, has charged 10.00 more than the sign indicates, and cracks every knuckle on my fingers every time. Twice now I've had an appt (no one specific) for fills, and walk ins came before me. I walked out today, after arriving EARLY ) got there at 3:10 appt was for 3:30 and watching the fake personalitied owner take 2 teenage walk ins (full sets) before me at 340. Wtf? I never get anything fancy because they don't do anything fancy, so not sure. I always tip wayyyy over what I should because it is a service and it's usually a different person. They NEVER do what i ask for (square round), and always cut my nails shorter than I ask for. I went there because it was convenient and they always have openings. Not anymore. If you want anything other than ONE color, and exactly what you asked for...don't go there. The only reason they're still in business is because they say YES to every appt. I went today with my mother in law, the service was awful. We called around and this was the only place with availability so we went. The employees were so so pushy on upselling which I understand is apart of their job but my MIL already said she did not want the gel and was just here in town visiting and wanted regular polish on her pedicure since she does t go often enough to get the gel removed. They continuously kept pushy for the gel and all she wanted was a French pedicure and 3 different tech couldn't explain it to each other of what she wanted. The make I believe the manager spoke English well enough to explain this to her but he kept saying his techs did not understand. So we told them the service was over. So we left very frustrated that we did not get to complete our services we both originally wanted mani and pedi but left with unfinished pedicures. We stated we were done; we paid the $90 for the unfinished services since we just wanted to leave because it was so uncomfortable being in there, which is such a waste of money. Surprised... I picked out polish, nail person brings over a bottle that looks exactly the same "this lasts longer". Yes, and it is a gel and costs more. No I want polish. Same routine with my daughter. So a standard practice. But the real shock ... Nail person pulls out a baggie with a nail file and buffer. She says "you buy"... "Why am I buying them?" .... "You want nails done, you buy" ... Only $2. But ... Wow ... Never before. Look and see that my daughter is also holding a baggie with nail file and buffer. So standard practice. Nails and pedicure that I was quoted over the phone to total $65. Was now $72.42 .... Returning customers come in holding their baggie with file and buffer. I will not be a returning customer. I should have paid better attention to the reviews. I'm from out of town and needed a pedicure and gel manicure. My plan was to get them done before I left but ended up leaving a day early. I called around and this was the ONLY place that had same day availability. I explained EXACTLY what I wanted done - deluxe pedicure with callus removal as my feet were still peeling due to a peeling mask I had done 10 days prior and a gel manicure. I'm told 5:15. Great. Get there early and when I tell her what I want done as she's soaking my feet in only water told no time and no time for fill. I explained I booked and was very specific about hen made my appointment what I wanted done. She didn't some skin removal but no massaging. Told again no time for fingers. Asked why book me for 5:15 then for a deluxe pedicure and gel manicure. Wouldn't remove dip polish I had on....again no time so put some acrylic and shade of polish I didn't exactly want on my fingers since needed to cover the color. My fingers are a little lumpy and uneven. No time to file and shorten a bit or reshape. On my pedicure she made me bleed and I got cut. I kept saying ouch since digging very hard. Also....asked if had my baggy with me and when asked to explain she held up one filled with a scrubber, nail file and buffer. Told her no because never been there. It's an additional $4 and not told until the end. She also asked me 5 times my name and if ever been there and where go. Had to tell her from out of State so never. read more

Just got a pedicure here. Made an appointment days in advance. When I sit down for the pedicure I asked if there were different options because usually there are...she hands me the sheet and then quickly takes it away before I even got to look at it and says she doesn't have time...I asked if she will still be scrubbing my feet and stuff and she looks at them and doesn't really answer. She spent like 30 seconds prepping each foot and barely scrubbed them. Fastest, most disappointing pedicure I have ever had and my feet still look like I need a pedicure...waste of $54. read more

I gave them a chance even after reading the reviews and that is where I went wrong. It has to be illegal not to have ventilation in a nail salon. The place is absolutely disgusting and the STENCH of FUMES will leave you with a headache. I am empathetic for these small town nail salons but can you really not even open the door?? Or get a fan? Anyways... my appointment was at 4pm and after waiting until 4:25 with no service I had to leave purely due to the smell. Oh and they had Fox News on tv for entertainment. DONT. GO. HERE!!! I was that dreadful "lady" in question to complain in the store (mentioned in the last yelp review). I knew this place had bad reviews before I went but timing made for necessity and this shop is open till 6:30 So I get my nails done frequently, but I'm new to the area having just moved from California and looking for my new spot. I was a walk in to get a black acrylic set with white stripes and I was initially grateful for their hours, I work nights and it's hard to make most store hours, and I was flattered that the guy switched to help me out. However I was soon disappointed when he quoted me 75 dollars for a full set with black powder and small white stripes. I decided to hold off on the stripes till I saw the quality of this expensive full set. I was willing to pay good money for good quality, so I didn't bat an eye at the steep 50$ price for a plain full set until he was SO rough with my nails!! Clumsy with the drill, superglue on my fingers, burning my cuticles with the file. Then I asked.. "why is my set so expensive if your advertised price for acrylic is 35$?" He said that the black powder was expensive, enough to justify a 20 $$ upsale? No way! Besides never having been charged that much ever before in years of getting full sets, I've actually done this professionally and I know the cost of polymer.. a 20$ upsell is insane. When he asked me what shape I replied "Coffin shape please", and he had no idea what I was talking about. I had to google it for him!! I asked if he knew his reviews weren't good, and he didn't care..which is why that woman felt the need to lie to you earlier this evening. BUT I RECIEVED NO DISCOUNT...not was I expecting one... I just thought he should know his internet presence was not good.. to which he replied "I need customers" like gee, I wonder why.... By the time I left my hands were burning because he skinned me with the drill and then splashed monomer all over my wounds, and my nails were hilariously misshaped. I paid exactly what I owed. No tip. I'll never return. The only positive part was that the files (which he also charged me for) he let me take home, so I could at least correct the horrible shaping, and I repainted them myself once I got home. This place is an absolute JOKE of a nail and tanning salon! The owners were completely rude! NO sense of customer service! Job (be it manicure and pedicure) was completely INCOMPLETE! Lady demanded payment before service was complete and left us unattended DURING our appointment to help another appointment that she supposedly had! Service was incredibly rushed. People were hard to understand. Could NOT understand what they were saying 90% of the time (which obviously irritated them). I usually do my own mani/pedis. I decided to treat myself today. I have noticed not to many people Yelp around here, so when I find a good place, I like to let people know. Nail Trends is small, but it does the job. I loved their massaging spa chairs and the scrubs they used to exfoliate were heavenly. They gave me a cold bottle of water, and a great calf and foot massage. The staff was friendly. Tom spoke good English, and the other staff tried. I can see how some people may interpret the language barrier as rude, but that was not my experience. My experience was a relaxing one, until a woman walked in asking for a full set. Tom, who was working on my feet, switched with Nancy and accommodated the other walk-in. The full-set person was so rude to Tom, asking how much the nails cost, complaining about the price, and then trying to Yelp-blackmail him into giving her a discount! Tom was nice, professional, and put up with her attitude with a smile on his face...apparently he wasn't gentle after that according to this person's review. When I left, I was sure to tell Tom that I gave him a good review on Yelp while he was still working on the other person's set. That same person posted a vindictive one-star review right after me. I usually scrutinize one-star reviews, and this experience has confirmed that suspicion once again. I recommend this place and I will be back...it's not a spa experience, but they do a good job if you're not rude. Addendum: I think is it also important to note, as with most customer service, if you are rude to your server at dinner or threaten to give someone a bad Yelp review in the middle of said dinner, don't be surprised if you have spit in your food...or a rough manicure. Was in town for just a few days for work, and desperately needed a pedicure and shellac mani fix... while this little spot is more expensive than the fast-food nail salon I usually frequent in my hometown, they did an AWESOME job. One of the best foot massages I have ever had during a pedi, hot stones, friendly and super detail-oriented service. My toes and nails look perfect. I called & got a same day pedicure. I told Tom what I wanted and was quoted an accurate price. I arrived on time and only waited a few minutes. The shop is a little rough around the edges, but that did not appy to their service. My nail tech was very good and did an excellent job. I have one foot with some issues causing the nails to be longer & thicker and she had no problem doing it. I even picked the same color of polish she had on! This was a very busy shop (Sat) and I'm lucky I got in. I would recommend this shop and come again. read more

Horrible.... I've been here a couple of times because it is "cheap" but I guess you get what you pay for. All of my nails are uneven and for square nails they are very sharp so they messed up my polish right after I left. I went in today and the man was clipping his toe nails in front of me and after I was done I paid and she seemed really annoyed that I didn't tip her. Why would I? Also, the space is extremely outdated - Very 80's and not in a good way. The chairs are torn up too. I wouldn't go here unless you needed to! read more

My mom and I were walk ins and just wanted some gel polish. They got us right in, did a great French tip shellac polish and did a fantastic job! They did not charge us for a full manicure because we didn't want one (not many places will do this) and they were very nice and very quick. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Beware!! WORST customer service ever! Hubby got me 4 $50 spa pedicures for Christmas. He included $10 tips, which was nuts. First time: called Mon for Tues 930 pedi. Shop called me at 9 on Tues saying I'm late and I've lost my spot. I explained that it was a mistake. The appt was made day prior. I was headed there, but she argues. I settle for a late Fri appt. Hour later they called saying they had double booked me. Duh! Fri I get there and they double booked me AGAIN!! I started to cry, and a great lady let me have her spot. I had an event that night, and I'd waited a week because of their screw up already. Best pedi ever, but now she was so rushed, it took a total of 30 min!! Spa pedi people. I want an hour of foot and leg love for $60. Experience left me crying and stressed. Second time: I put off calling cuz it'd been such a train wreck. Show up again and they're double booked! Some guy took my spot. Waited 20 min for another record speed spa pedi. Again, left crying. Husband tried returning the last two. Nope. We gave away $120 pedis.
