I made an appointment on a cloudy day on family vacation. I waited 45 minutes in a chair while people ignored me, speaking a different language . No one ever explain to me why I had to wait while others were taken . I certainly understand that different technicians are trained in different techniques . If someone would've just explained I wouldn't have been so annoyed. I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting Sea isle city. If I didn't have an event I would have walked out. Firstly, a pedicure shouldn't cost $38 period, but especially when it's a regular one with no color. Anyway. I asked for a short, square manicure which the nail tech did - they cut my nails and didn't file the pointy ends down. So I had to do that when I got home. They also almost got away with only doing 2 streaky coats until I asked for a third. Nail tech also smudged me and instead of quickly redoing the nail just painted on top of the smudge leaving a bump in my polish. Top coat also doesn't cover the entirety of my nails, so there's visible lines atop my color. The job was rushed, and frankly I don't think the nail tech cared much to do the job. read more

As if mismanagement of resources wasn't frustrating enough, the actual service was poor as well. My gel manicure looks cheap and will likely chip within the week. Finally, there is abysmal cleaning and sanitary routines and standards. Pricing is not commensurate to the quality of service or environment. read more

There were 3 of us. The whole experience was bad. Seemed only one technician knew what they were doing. Used the wrong color than my daughter requested. Told my granddaughter they could do an intricate pattern then couldn't. Took over 2 hours for her nails because the technician kept getting up to help the other manicurists. Very unsatisfied! I wanted to do something nice for myself and my daughters on our vacation, so we went to Nailworks for Pedicures. When I walked in, I asked where to find the regular nail polish for my toenails. I was told to pick a color from the nails in the container. ( which were ALL GEL) I didn't know it would be gel until she started. My nail tech DID NOT message my legs.. only lotion "after" she painted my nails. To add to a bad experience, I was charged $165.00 for 3 pedicures. I spent $60 for gel I DIDNT want. I had a budget for our day... my shock was overwhelming! I wish I spoke up more! Please note that the great reviews for this salon were several years ago. I have been going to this salon for 15+ years. It was a family run salon and they all did a wonderful job. It is now under new ownership and these technicians just don't realize that many of their customers are here all summer and regular customers. Rosie did my dip mani/pedi a few weeks ago. The ONLY reason I gave the salon 2 stars was because of cleanliness and the pedicure was okay. She kept reminding me of her 27 years of experience as she proceeded to do a rookie job on the dip. My nails turned out nice, however, the nail tech who did my service was incredibly rude. Their color selection books are confusing as to which is gel and which is regular polish. I couldn't find a simple baby blue gel color, and the nail tech got very annoyed while trying to help me. Absolutely horrible experience. After the gentleman rushed through my nails he made my toe bleed during the pedicure, after I told him that it hurt. Once my toe was bleeding he let it continue to bleed and didnt adhere to it. The salon then proceeded to over charge me 10 dollars and when I asked them where the over charge was coming from , they acted as if they didn't understand and couldn't explain. And continued to give Me a hard time. Would not recommend ever going here. There is queens and ocean nails also in seaisle that do 10 times a better job. I went as a walk-in on 8/28 for a pedicure. I was seated immediately after picking a nail color and chose the pedicure that was $65. The nail tech was really nice; she kept checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable and that the pressure for the leg massage wasn't too much (which I appreciated as I had a bad leg injury 2 months ago). I also appreciated that she didn't try to make small talk with me; pedicures are my time to relax and I'd rather sit there silently than have to talk to people. She did recommend that I add 1 thing to the pedicure to help soften the callouses on my heals which was only a $5 up-charge; my feet look great! My only small issue is that the woman who greeted me was a bit abrupt but my nail tech made up for that with her kindness. I also wish they still did the hot stone massage. I've been going to Nailworks for over 10 years now; it's my luxury purchase for myself while on vacation. I was hesitant to go back there after reading some of the more recent reviews, but I'll be back next year. read more

Under new ownership. Worst mani and pedi ever. After paying $65, I went home, removed everything and did my nails myself. The woman hurt me when massaging my legs. She purposefully cracked my nuckles when massaging my hands. The nail polish was put on so thick, it wouldn't dry. I had nail polish all around the edges of my fingers and toes. I just walked out without her finishing. I knew there was no way she could do better. read more

I'm so disappointed. This was one of my favorite nail salons. Every year I look forward to getting a gel manicure on the first day of vacation. They have always done a fantastic job. This year was horrible. My daughter and I were so rushed when we arrived (we did have appointments). We weren't allowed to pick our polish. They asked what color I wanted and then proceeded to pick a bottle off the shelf. I was told to trust her because she knows polish. The mani didn't dry fully so some of my nails aren't shiny. They are matte. My daughter's manicurist cut her twice and was so distracted talking to someone else, she was skipping nails. Bummer! We won't be going back. No apologies and when we asked the owner he just said "5 more minutes" The person doing my nails was ok except she started painting my nails before putting my sandals back on and rudely said "I will put them on when I finish" which didn't make much sense to me since it was going to mess up the polish. Not only did they overcharge me $20 on a spa pedicure that was supposed to be $65, and when I asked she said "that's because you wanted gel"...to be honest, I have a regular girl for my nails that I usually always go to, but I only needed a pedi and thought why not? NEVER AGAIN. Then because my daughter has a sweet 16 to go to tomorrow and I live on the island I said just go over there, we called asked how much a full set was - she said $55, then my daughter (15 years old) called me from the bathroom saying they were telling her it was $75 - mind you she specifically asked for polish not gel and they did this to her. They are rude and did a horrible job on my daughters nails, no hot towel, no lotion, put oil on her and sent her home - like her hands were a mess with oil. "We don't take appointments for those, just come in," I was told. 2) I walked in to get my polish change and was told "sorry can you come back in 30 minutes? we're too busy." 3) Went home then came back in 30 minutes and was told "Sorry we're all booked for this evening with appointments." Went Sunday 6/30/19. I get powder dipped and selection is slim. First application uneven. This was filed off and second application applied. Got to top coat and first coat left brush marks. Second coat wouldn't dry. Third time around she FINALLY used the UV light (first time in) and got a "new bottle of clear coat" from the back. Nails looked good after three hours of work. HOWEVER!!!! Top coat peeling off two days later. They still charged me full price. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. read more

Stopped in here for a regular mani/pedi. I did not have an appointment and was taken right away. Was happy with the service-very relaxing, was out in a timely manner and the price was comparable to what I would pay in Philly. There is 1-hour parking right out front on Landis, so parking was not an issue (however it is not quite season yet). There is not much going on in Sea Isle in terms of nail places so somethings you may need to suck it up and go to this place. They are amongst the worst I've seen with appointments. In terms of their service they do a good job. They get you in and out quickly. For an additional charge they offer Vinylx which is a vinyl nail polish that lasts longer without damage. read more

I was leery after reading reviews but just experienced one of the best manicures I've ever had. I was greeted on entrance and seated right away. Rose didn't speak English so we didn't talk but she was a gentle perfectionist when it came to taking care of my cuticles and her hand massage made me want to curl up in the pedicure chair and take a nap afterwards. A little more expensive than at home -$30 for gels $20 for regular - but it's a vacation spot so not a shock. read more

I brought my mother and my 5 year old daughter to Nailworks for pedicures. Overall I would say that they were very very good. At home I get a more thorough pedicure, but I would give Nailworks a 90% and I would definitely return. The prices were good, the chairs were comfortable and clean (and new!). My nail technician did a good job cleaning up my nails and even suggested a color when I couldn't make up my mind. The color he chose looked GREAT. I was pleased. For my daughter they had a "Little Miss" pedicure package that cost less. It included a regular pedicure and nail art for two nails. They have a special back pillow they add to the pedicure chair for little kids. The service far exceeded my expectations. My daughter got to soak her feet in the warm "blue" water, and then, after painting her nails, the technician put a silver heart on each big toe. SO nice for a little kid. read more

I was on Vacation I'm very clumsy I don't remember if I tripped up the steps and split my toe nail and tore off the acrylic and gel nail polish I had on my finger nails or if it was after I had my bike accident on the black top of the end part of the boardwalk . Either way I asked a I believe a local resident were was the best nail place to go and get a toe nail made out of acrylic she recommended this place . I was a walk in it took the gentlemen about an hour to repair every thing and they gave me I think a 10% discount for paying cash it was something like 25.00 he took off all my polish and repaired all my nails put acrylic on all my fingers and re gelled them and did a great job on my new toe nail . Stopped into Nailworks hoping to get a quick eyebrow wax that didn't scar me for life. The place is located in a newer shopping center and looked trustworthy enough from the outside. When I arrived I was greeted immediately by a friendly face and noticed the shop was bustling on a Thursday afternoon. I asked if I could speak with someone about getting my eyebrows done (not wanting to chance working with someone who did not speak English/who I couldn't communicate with). Within minutes I was taking to their clean "waxing room" and the technician listened to what I wanted and was extremely gentle. Though she could be a little faster on the "pull" the end result was great. As for nails I did check out their prices and saw they were more expensive than the city ($15 basic mani) but I'm not surprised since this is a touristy area. If I'm ever in a pinch I'd happily stop back in. read more

This place is terrible and does not know how to run a business AT ALL. We came in at 945 and they told us we needed to come back at 1115 and we did in which they had taken other people before us and we were forgotten while standing there for 20 min. I finally called the other nail salon and they said they can take us right away so we left. I don't have a problem waiting but don't lie to your customers be honest and tell them when to come back. Not much choice for nail salons if you want to stay in Sea Isle. This place is no frills and big on the up-sell. Appointments are irrelevant. I don't think anyone actually keeps track. You can have an appointment and wait over a half hour with walk ins taking precedent. Queen in Sea Isle seems better with appointments and is a little friendlier. Both are decent but not special if you are looking for anything like an Avalon salon. Might be worth the quick drive over the bridge. read more
