I'm pretty impressed by this new Burbank location. The tables seem to be wider apart, the place seems more open and less congested, and the makeup areas are generally very clean. I would recommend more trash cans provided in each area, because I remember having to hold on to my makeup remover and scouting for one of the few trash cans in the store. I visited the store last week to match my shade for the new Dose of Colors foundation and I had a blast looking at it on the huge vanity mirrors. Terrible service. Terrible selection. First time here and I will never be coming back. I have NEVER seen a group of individuals that were SO CLUELESS on the products that their store carries. I personally love shopping at Naimes more than any other makeup stores. I believe that the workers are more invested with helping you and you get more one on one time. Many places like Mac or Sephora - it's always crowded or staff is short which means longer waits. Every time I go to Naimes the workers always make sure I come out with the essentials I've been looking for. I just believe the workers at Naimes actually try to build a relationship with their clients. Naimes has a huge selection of different brand makeup's that a lot of makeup stores don't carry. I am so happy Naimie's is in burbank with a pretty decent size parking lot. Only Cons I can say is there are no Returns in store Only Exchanges. You can't open an item and then return it. This only sucks because lightening and sometimes makeup doesn't look the same when you leave. I personally never had any problems or returned anything. My only advice is take the time you need and dont rush. Ask for help. The other con is that naimes close pretty early at 6pm. read more

I decided to come in here for the first time with a friend. The store is beautiful so much make up candy. Your eyes won't know where to start . I was approached by some girl with orange hair and her make up a mess . I asked her something and she took me to the product. But then people kept asking her for help and she would help them and not finish with me. Another man approached he tried to help me with foundation but I know he wasn't an expertise. I didn't wanna spend money if I knew I wasn't confident with my purchase. So we left. I don't think I will come back unless I know exactly what I want to buy and they accept returns. I had a wonderful experience today, all thanks to the expertise of Bianca. I have been coming to this location regularly during Covid because the valley village location has remained closed. Bianca has helped me find everything I need each and every time. My sister was visiting from New York and needed a little "Mommy makeup/pick me up attention", and Bianca took the time to help her find just the right things. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional but most importantly kind hearted. During these trying times, encountering lovely people like her make all the difference!! The only critique I have is that Bianca seemed to be the only associate on the floor helping everyone. I understand staffing abilities may be affected due to the pandemic but I know she was being pulled in many different directions. She handled it with grace but I am sure it would be a better experience for everyone if more associates were available to help. This store is geared toward the consumer and not the professional makeup artist. The makeup testers are filthy and half of the makeup is out of stock. The staff is ok but not confident in their answers when asked by a seasoned pro. If you're just looking for makeup, go ahead and shop here. I don't agree with their return policy. They will only issue a return/ refund if the product is not used in any way. This is not something they explicitly state but rather have it in fine print on the receipt. They need to get with the times. Every other beauty store is more than happy to take returns and offer a refund as they know that there is no way to know if you like a product without trying it. What am I supposed to do? Decided if the product works for me by staring at the bottle? Ridiculous! To top it off the manager was very rude and questioned what I said the product did to my hair. The customer is always right, and I know my hair and what works for it, don't try and argue with me over what I witnessed. read more

I have to give this beauty supply store a 3 for the total lack of hair color options which you would expect would be pretty "standard" for a beauty supply store. It was kind of surprising. I recently went to Naimie's after knowing it opened in my hometown of Burbank a year ago or so, and because there are just no beauty supply salons in Burbank (Lee's closed down apparently). I had passed by it several times and marveled at how large it was & the ample parking (always a bonus if you can find easy, full parking). The inside was lovely - large & spacious, and organized well. The staff seemed nice and helpful. However, this store is really a makeup mecca and lacks in the hair department a bit. Specifically, I went in there hoping to buy some permanent hair color for my mom and was surprised that they ONLY carry two brands (Satin & Goldwell), let alone any semi-permanent options (none of this). In addition, I couldn't find the developers and had to ask a sales associate. She brought it from the BACK, which also surprised me. Why not put developers next to hair colors, as these two things go together and are bought at the same time? LoL. It was highly unusual at how little hair color they have because 99% of all beauty supply stores are well-stocked with hair color, developer, etc. Anyway, if makeup and skin care is what you're looking for, Naimie's might please you. But if you're on the hunt for hair color, then they are woefully behind on this important part of beauty supply. read more

I've always said that when I step into Naimie's, I feel like I'm a kid in candy land. Angels sing, the sky opens up, light comes in and I hear faint music, and I'm left to experiment and have fun. Not much has changed at Naimie's Burbank location compared to the old Sherman Oaks/Studio City, except that Burbank feels significantly bigger and brighter, which is a good thing. I actually feel like there was more natural light, which made testing products more real. The bigger parking lot was also a plus. Someone in a past review suggested that the salespeople were not a day over 16 or so, but that wasn't my experience. The first time I went since they reopened post-Covid I had Rosie, who had helped me in the past at Sherman Oaks. Again, she gave me her professional expertise at the Burbank location with products. Most recently, I went 2 weekends ago. I had about 17 or so items on my list and I found all except for the Ouidad detangler and Mason Pearson travel brush (which is a specialty item anyway and you may not always find it everywhere...no issue, I can wait). As for the detangler, when I was paying the girl at the register asked if I found everything I was looking for, and I said yes, except for the detangler. She then went out of her way (after I paid), and showed me her favorite/recommend brand which I purchased, and my daughter loves so far. Otherwise, I found everything at Oribe (actually, they had more stuff than I thought even Oribe made!), Lise Watier, Laura Mercier, Caudalie, etc. It's not a surprise that we're in a pandemic, and you may not find everything that you're looking for, but that's also true of any department store. You may not always find a specific product in a specific shade/color, for example, at any store the first time you try. Trust me, Naimie's is no CVS or Ulta. You don't have amateurs pushing items at you at Naimie's and that's why I've preferred Naimie's's all these years. Go out and have fun looking around. I'm just happy that they're open again, and I've already started my shopping list for my next trip to Naimie's! read more

I went to LA this weekend and wanted to check out naimes because I needed a few things for my makeup kit before heading back home which is 5+ hours away. There was so much to look at!
