Over the past year and a half I had been on a journey to go blonde but just wasn't satisfied with the tone so ended up trying to gradually go darker. Needless to say my hair is damaged beyond belief, and I have about 10 different shades going on from super bleached to dark blonde. Terrible. Anyway when I came in I told the girl working there that I wanted to go to a very dark warm blonde or maybe as dark as a warm light honey brown. This chick gave me a color that turned my roots pretty dark brown. I was so upset! Thank goodness I only did my roots. Well, last night I went in again and told Jessica, the manager on duty what had happened. She spent quite a while with me discussing what color would work with my now very dark roots. She suggested a brand with more intense color that would actually lighten my roots but darken the rest of my hair. I was skeptical but desperate since I don't presently have a good colorist. When I stepped out of the shower I was thrilled! Jessica was SPOT ON! My hair's color is way more even, has dimension, looks healthier and is a beautiful light honey brown. She was a bit sour looking and not as friendly as I was hoping for her to be. She barely said "can I help you with something?" I told her I would like to try on few wigs. Then she just stood there for me to make the next move. Like I was the employee and she was the customer. An auburn color bob cut wig caught my eye. I said "let me try that one". She handed it to me and still stood there. She helped me put it on and we both didn't like that color on me. It didn't compliment my skin tone, nor the shape of my face. Then there was another wig that she let me try on, and we still didn't like that one either. She mentioned that I can only try 2 wigs. Long story short, she went to help another customer and here comes this wonderful, upbeat, happy, remarkable, helpful, kind hearted, nice lady/employee by the name of Janella. She was very wise, keen, and knowledgeable. She let me try few other wigs and we both came to a common liking/decision. She was not pushy, nor was she forceful to sell me my 2 wigs that I purchased. I was hoping that the wigs would come with a brush, but apparently everything is sold separately. The store is a bit narrow, yet easy to navigate the aisles. They have many different kinds, styles, colors of wigs, weaves, cosmetics, hair accessories, eye lashes, skin care, extensions, hair dye, jewelry, gels, creams for your skin and a lot more stuff.. It was a fun and happy experience. Janella spent a good hour w/out any sign of feeling overwhelmed, or tired. Loved her from the moment she approached to help me. Made it up for the other employee. Years later, when I became a professional makeup artist, this is where I bought my very first kit, a huge haul of products to start my career. That was a full-circle moment for me. I buy almost everything cosmetics-related here, and the fact that it's stayed consistent and reliable through all these years says everything.
