I thought this place only sold products but they provide beauty services as well. I booked my appointment with Kaylie to do highlights so the gray can blend as they grow out. It turns out that it will take about three sessions to get my hair to where I want it to be. Today's session was to set the foundation. She spent about 30 minutes talking to me to see what I wanted and my expectations. Since I've been using box dye for 15 years, I wasn't expecting much accept to color my hair one color again. It turns out that box dye has a lot of metal and it's harder to work with when you want to highlight. Anyway, she did a test on two strips of hair with two different manufacturers. Most of the bleaching worked but there were some areas with resistance. My hair passed the test and she started bleaching several sections of my hair. The bleaching was necessary so the hair will take the color when applied. There were so many steps that she took that I can't remember because she spent six hours doing my hair. It was a very long process but it was fun to see the transformation. My hair was jet black and she was able to make it brown with highlights. Overall, the store was very clean and well lit. The staff were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend coming here. read more

However, during my most recent visit, I stopped by to redeem my birthday gift and was informed that they had already run out of the birthday items. I was disappointed to hear this, as I feel Ulta should better anticipate and stock promotional items that are offered to members. There aren't many Ulta locations conveniently located in this area, so making a trip to the store requires extra time and effort. It's always great to come and Ulta beauty and check out what cool things they got going on during the holidays for that special somebody. I noticed that there's a lot of vendor sales at the front this time around which is really shocking. I'm really used to having more helpful sales associates that actually work in the store.. This time I was unable to find as many helpful sales associates, they were probably all busy with other people because it was so crowded. But crowded is good and like all the retailers it seems like there's plenty of pre-holiday Christmas gift sets and promotional items that that they're always so well known for. And also lucky for me that the store layout is pretty much the same as all the store so it was really easy for me to find what I was looking for and get out pretty quick. Shanan at the beauty bar/salon really messed up my hair. I have red/copper hair and needed to go in for a root touch up. My natural hair color is black & very hard to lift. I told her multiple times that she would need bleach on my roots. She ignored that request and only applied color and of course it only lifted to a really dark brown so essentially I had an ombre type of style on my roots which I did not like. I also asked if she could do layers on my hair, and she did a horrible job on it its been a few months and my hair is completely chopped it shows no sign of layers. I asked her how many years she's been in the business due to the fact that she was doing such a mediocre job on my hair. I am really disappointed and now due to the cut she gave me, my hair does not grow. Do yourself a favor and do not book her. read more

I have gone to this Ulta dozens of times (as it's the closest one to me) and never had any issues. Customer service has always been fine in most cases. I had the most unpleasant experience with a cashier named Daniela (I'm assuming because that's what was on my receipt). She was super snippy and cold to me, asking for a receipt as I was returning something, when I've never been asked to provide a receipt (I always assumed it's because I put my rewards phone number in and they could look up my past orders). She just stood there rolling her eyes as I was fumbling on my phone to provide an order number, which I KNOW she could have just looked up on the computer. It was just cold, rude, bad customer service, not even trying to make conversation. I could feel the bad energy, she didn't even make niceties as we were ending the transaction - nothing. Customer service has seriously gone downhill, and the bar is so low for me. A simple hello, goodbye, anything would be great. It was such an odd interaction that it was enough for me to leave a review. I hope this store does better training or hires friendlier people, because places like Ulta or Sephora are my happy place when I want to walk around and spend some money after a stressful day. I've always had positive experiences at this ulta with customer service. My only complaint would be the stuff I wanted were out of stock but the worker suggested I can order it to ship there or order online. To be fair what I wanted was sold out at many shops because it was highly popular. Everytime I go, I'm always helped right away and when I ask for advice, the workers have gone out of their way to walk me around to suggest different products. It's a huge store too! This location is in a good and populated area with plenty of other businesses. It's right behind Trader Joe's which can get packed in that area but there's still plenty of parking in the lots. read more

My wife wanted to stop by here last night because we were nearby and she needed some more hair shampoo. Since this store is near Walmart, finding parking in the front will be difficult but if you park on the side or behind the store then it might be easier. We came like 30 minutes before the store close but there were still a lot of people inside. A worker offer to help us but my wife already found her shampoo and was just browsing afterward. I went to their cologne area and they didn't really have much on display to try out. So I just saw 1 Dior and tried it on their test strip which I thought the smell was too strong. Donna is a terrible cashier. I went in to return one product and it took her 10 mins to process. I started off by telling her I needed to return my item and she then proceeded to ring it up. I then handed her my phone for her to scan my digital receipt and she had trouble pulling up my profile to return one things. Ridiculous. She needs to be trained more because waiting 10 minutes for her to scan and return one item is insane. Also there were other beauty advisors next to her and no one was helping. I cannot say enough great things about Rachel! I came in with a hair emergency! Another salon totally messed up my hair. It was multiple colors of orange. Rachel was completely honest and told me it would take all day but she would do her best! It turned out so good! She did treatments in between processes so my hair wouldn't fall off. Rachel also makes you feel so comfortable. The time didn't seem so long. She has a great energy about her and she is super talented. You can tell that she really wants to do a good job and she wants you to leave feeling happy! I'll be a regular for sure! read more

This is the best ulta I've ever been to! I accidentally scratched my face (which left a little scar) so I came with the purpose of finding a concealer. Normally I wouldn't be so quick to cover up, but I am attending a wedding and didn't want it to show up in photos. The customer service here is incredible. I didn't get his name but he immediately matched my shade using tarte concealer and was so wonderful during the process! When I went to check out, the cashier was so sweet too. What an absolute nightmare. Avoid this location at all costs and just shop online--it's not worth the hassle. This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I wasted over an hour here. First, one of the employees said she'd go look for a shade I needed, only to disappear and never return. When I finally tracked her down, she admitted she hadn't even checked and casually mentioned they probably didn't have it. No apology, no effort, just complete indifference. Then, when I finally got to the register after waiting in a ridiculously long line, things got even worse. I wanted to pay with gift cards, and the cashier peeled off the stickers to reveal the PINs but ended up scratching the numbers off completely. She shrugged it off, saying it happened the day before too, and told me I'd need to call customer service. When I called customer service, they informed me that the department I needed was closed and I'd have to call back the next day. So now, I'm left dealing with this mess because of their carelessness. On top of it all, my husband was frustrated by how long I was stuck at the store and now refuses to ever go back with me. This place is a complete waste of time, and their lack of professionalism is astounding. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. read more

Horrible customer service. I went in to pick up my order and waited in the order pick up area. A supervisor standing at the front said someone would be with me shortly. No problem. I waited. An employee working at a register made eye contact with me and asked "do you have a pick up"? I said yes and she waved me over to her register. I get to her register and she leaves. Like, leaves out the door to go home. So I waited and no one helped me. Another girl at the register told the girl next to her what happened and laughed. This place is pure chaos during the holidays. I also find myself only going here during that season. It was actually a few days before Thanksgiving, so not quite the holidays yet, but I placed an order online for curbside pickup. Upon arriving, I saw that not only were both parking spots taken (yes, only two parking spots are reserved for curbside pickup here), but both vehicles were empty. If you are parking there just to shop inside, that is not what those spots are there for. So you can imagine that when I looped around the parking lot and saw someone leaving one of the spots only for another person to park there and, you guessed it, got out of the car to go inside ULTA, I was pretty annoyed. Please be considerate. It isn't about having to park over by Best Buy and walking, it's that I should have been able to park there and have someone run my items out to me so I could be on my merry way. I do have to say that the employee I did encounter for in store pickup was very nice and apologetic when I brought it to her attention. She said that there's really nothing they can do about it. Oh, and upon leaving the store I saw the driver of the other car that was parked in one of the curbside parking spaces loading her Walmart groceries into her car. read more

I love Ilya so much and every time I'm here, I always end up overspending. Like, did I really need 5 bottles of foundation, prolly not but I wanted it. Let's face it, body wash and all that I can understand is an essential but everything else is non-essential but, I'll still end up spending around 100$ here around every two weeks or so. I love their selection of drugstore makeup and I'll peruse the high end section but it doesn't really interest me. I love that they're introducing more Korean beauty brands and branching out. Been finding a lot of new stuff every time I'm here. Store is pretty clean, items are organized and staff is pretty friendly if somewhat a little snobbish at times. The only thing I wished they did was put of testers for their products. How am I supposed to know what the color really looks like if I can't swatch it? Customers end up opening new products and therefore ends up being discarded and no longer available for purchase. I've missed out on purchasing so many lipsticks because of this. There's no path around the entrance so you have to stand or walk in the actual way of cars and there was also no employee outside so you have to awkwardly wait for security to notice you and get someone. I would have gone to a different location had I known as this also caused me to miss my return window on an item I brought with me. I came in the day before thanksgiving November 27th in the late afternoon. The store was very busy and every employee was busy helping someone. This employee came up asking if I needed help she was tall, blonde hair and older she told me she had an older daughter that used the eyebrow pencil I was getting. She went above and beyond helping me find the items I need. She even went in the back twice looking for stock that wasn't open yet and out on the sales floor just to get me my item! Then I went to check out and I had Julia who was so kind and friendly we had a nice chat about makeup products.
