Smoking J's wings, Cheech Rub style. Rave reviews...from a Buffalo guy.
    S H.

Beer - super solid. I drank the entire fruity menu and started the dark menu which was tasty...a MoonPie Stout - yes, please! Food - delicious, comforting, great...without being pretentious or trying too hard. The Cheech Rub smoked wings...crave worthy. Deep friend MoonPies - just do it. The people - folks here are fantastic - super engaging, happy, and attentive. What a great spot - Naked River Brewing and Smoke On The River...cheers to y'all!!!

SMOKE ON THE RIVER!! Great New BBQ joint!! Located in the Naked River Brewing Co. right next to Finley Stadium. We went for lunch and were warmly greeted by Jeremy. He gave us a run down of the menu which is mainly BBQ offerings that are smoked in house! (Or rather "out back"!) Food was Excellent! Fresh cut French Fries...off the charts!! The space is rustic and airy. There is a patio that faces Finley with Corn Hole and ample seating. Check out their menu online. They also Cater and have rentable space upstairs. Perfect for Corporate/Wedding events. Jeff and his crew have got a winner!! Go See Them!!

Great brewery in a super cool old building. Great outdoor space for the dogs to come. It was raining so they allowed our friends to bring their service dog inside without issue. Beer was really good. The wife and I got a flight. I got all darks and a cider. All were great. The Moon Pie stout was very good. We did not get food but others stuff looked great. Cool place with great beer and good service. We will be back.

Really neat little brewery and a neat building near pavilion and Finley stadium. Staff was friendly and informative about menu. We went on a Thursday and played "singo" Apps, cocktails and service were all great!

Note the flight policy they enforce at random.

Coming in before a CFC game I was excited to try some new beers. Sadly I did not get to do that. Make note that they will not do beer flights at random times. I came to try the beers and the difference in flight vs individual 5oz pours was 50% more. The reason we were given is that they don't have enough glasses to serve them. The lack of business sense that makes is astounding. I will stick to the other breweries in town. The service is less than enthusiastic to say the least.

May special - hot wing grilled cheese

We needed a quick lunch in Chattanooga and wanted something that offered BBQ. My husband picked it based on Yelp reviews and I was sold as soon as I saw the menu. We were there quite early for lunch due to our schedule with some planned activities in early afternoon. They serve a number of beers and ciders - I wasn't drinking that day but my husband and stepson were both happy with their choices. The pretzel bites and pork rinds were solid appetizers - and at a reasonable price. I was lured in by the May grilled cheese special - hot wing grilled cheese. It was amazing and on perfectly grilled fresh sourdough bread. I ate the whole thing! My stepson got the adult grilled cheese with pulled pork, which was very similar and he loved it as well. My husband got the Tuesday taco special, 3 tacos and a side for $11. He got burnt ends, sausage and chicken - they were small but full of meat and flavorful. All of the prices were reasonable, the food was great and the service was top notch. They had a large outdoor seating area but it was so hot that everyone was inside when we were there. It had a cool vibe and is a great place for a meal or to meet up with friends for drinks. I would definitely go again if we are back in the Chattanooga area.

The beer was good, our server forgot about us, but the beer was good. Had to go ask for someone to come back and take our food order, but the beer was good. When we did get our food.... Did I mention the beer was good?

You can find Naked River Brewing Company at 1791 Reggie White Blvd,. Chattanooga, TN 37408 literally right across from Findley Park. There's parking in back but I'm sure it's a zoo on weekends and during games. The brewery has a fairly large open space with a long bar that acts as the taproom shared with the brewhouse - there are various seating options and a patio out front. I got here for a late lunch and there were about 7-8 tables occupied plus a few people at the bar. I met my niece and nephew here who live locally and upon their recommendation. We ordered some pulled-port nachos to share. I ordered a two meat BBQ option that included a half-slab of ribs and the beef brisket. I thought the ribs good but of course I've had better - the real star was the brisket - juicy, smokey and too good - next time I'll just have a big plate of that. For sides I had the mac-and-cheese and collards - both were good and very satisfying and a cut-above what you might find at many BBQ joints. For beer I tried a flight plus: * Sticky Parts NEIPA 4/5 - Competently made Starr NEIPA with notes of citrus, finishing hoppy and slightly sweet. Just an easy drinker, pretty slammable. * Double Slap DIPA 3/5 - Fairly tasteless Double IPA, was expecting more of a Westy, very little punch to this. * BA Midnight Fuggles Stout 3.7/5 - Another underwhelming BA stout - not sure what the apricot barrel was supposed to provide, mostly a boozy hit. * Moon Base Stout 4/5 - Smooth, sweet malty backbone, notes of chocolate, caramel and graham cracker, a classic moon pie. Needs to be sweeter but otherwise competently made. * BA Moon Base Stout 3.8/5 - While the Moon Pie base beer is somewhat interesting, aging in an apricot barrel only added a boozy finish, really this beer needs to be intensified and sweetened to make it worthwhile. * BA Docks Brown 3.5/5 - Somewhat underwhelming, the barrel adds some booziness but none of the intensity you would expect. * Mangalorian 3.8/5 - Light easy drinker with fruity mango in a wheat base, somewhat sweet, I was wishing for some sourness to punch things up. * Bears, Beets, Black IPA 4/5 - Nice sweet roasted malt backbone with coffee notes, well balanced hoppy finish and amazing lacing. Quite nice for this style. Service was exceptional with very attentive server who readily offered suggestions on the beer. I thought the beer in general could use a bit "more" but this may be what the locals are looking for so no judgements. In all a great experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here after the farmers market. Ordered brisket, pulled pork sandwich and smash burger, all very good. The sauces are to die for! We really enjoyed their beer as well.

We have visited this place multiple times over the last 5 years and it just keeps getting better. The brews are solid and the food is even more solid. Also they are more kid friendly than about any other brewery in Chattanooga, so we love it. Service is fantastic. We keep coming back and hope to for a very long time

Phenomenal service! Nice selection of beers, although IPAs seem to be the specialty. I recommend the Sticky Parts IPA, Habba the Hut, and of course the Moon Pie Stout! Nice outdoor seating area with benches and some shade; which is dog friendly! Flights are offered, and BBQ food is offered.

I love this patio! They have picnic tables with umbrellas, it's turf, dogs are allowed (and they even have poop bags) and there's cornhole boards! This is super convenient to the stadium-I imagine a great spot when there's UTC games going on. The bar inside was pretty dark, definitely dive bar vibes. Very cool spot. We just had a pitcher of beers, pretzel bites and I had a ranch water. I really enjoyed the pretzel bites!! Super fun vibes! I can't remember the servers name-but she had red hair and fantastic eyelashes--she was sweet and very attentive! We had a great time here! The food menu was a little limited but the food we had was awesome!

After watching Sooooo many pizza reviews, we decided to try the Neapolitan style pizza. Thin crust and cooked in a wood fire oven. So.... First and foremost pizza was good. Being a Neapolitan style, I was expecting a bit more crunch with the slight char. The tomato sauce was very good. You could tell it was fresh crushed tomatoes and basil. Bartender and our waiter were awesome. Talked to us about the local brewery, the styles of pizza, etc. very friendly and cooperative with all the questions we had. We were both pleasantly surprised by this local downtown place. Good atmosphere and good food. A must try when downtown Chattanooga. They do offer Detroit style and New York style pizza as well. It all depends on the way YOU like your pizza cooked! VERY good pizza! I would probably give this pizza, on a pizza scale; an 8.2 which is pretty high. A little flop on the crust, but the crunch, char and the amazing tomato sauce, partnered with the atmosphere and friendly staff made it a must visit pizza place! We finished it off with the local made gelato. I had milk and honey and my wife had chocolate. Both were very flavorful and refreshing on this very hot day. Community Pizza is fitting as everyone either in or around this community should stop by and try this pizza! Thanks for a great afternoon experience!

For three dollars, it just seemed too good to pass up. It came out looking great...but, three or four bites in, I felt something was off. Then it hit me! There was no flavor! It's almost like all you guys got on their case for too much salt, so they removed it from the recipe. lol I also had the adult fried cheese. They were just OK. The dipping sauce was fantastic. I'm not sure why they didn't use that sauce in the DeMarco Pizza. If they did, they did not use nearly enough. I think what I did not like about the fried cheese was that...in my head, I expected something similar to mozzarella sticks with flavorful breading. There was no breading to this...it was like a crisp, if that makes sense. It changed the dynamic. Less of a cheese stick, more of a wonton or empanada. I also love trying new things, so I had the blackberry vinegar drink. I don't know why I thought it sounded good, but it was written in fun, colorful purple chalk as if it was a great thing I needed to try....aaaahhh...marketing mind games strikes again. Maybe it's too sophisticated for me. Place was fun. Service was great. Everybody is super friendly. Very nice vibe to it.

It was a little chilly, but not quite "Ohio" chilly so we sat ourselves outside with a couple of hazy IPA aka Juice Bombs from Sloop Brewery. This brew pub is sandwiched between brick buildings: Stacks, a burger pub, on the right and another commercial building on the left. Across the street is the Police, so be warned, and don't get too funky. We asked if they had food and said no but it was ok to get some take out and eat it at their table or order from Stacks (what we did) and they bring it to your table from next door. Even better. Stacks' mushroom burger and stack cheese burger were very good too. We washed those down with another set of local IPAs called Southeast by Tailgate Brewery in Nashville, TN, also very good. Some of the tables have heating lamps which would have been nice as it got chillier. Not ours. But no sweat. This place does occasionally make their own beer as well but it's primarily a brew pub which sells other beer and canned beer from all over. I'm glad we had a chance to come. Now for the drive home. Thankfully we are less than 2 hours away. Atlanta here we come!
