The menu has quite a lot of options for tacos, like over 15 of them. They aren't your average taco flavors; there are General Tso Cauliflower, Nashville Hot Chicken, Korean Fried Chicken, Philly Cheese Steak... They come one to each other, so it makes it easier you don't have to pick just one, and each taco is quite loaded. This was our first time coming here & I can't believe we hadn't come sooner. The place was nice and the ambiance was chill. I would say it felt a bit hot inside but I'm not sure if it's because we sat close to the kitchen. Our waiter Oscar was amazing ! Sometimes we come with a group of friends for drinks, other times with the family. I love chips.. my husband loves margaritas and mescalitas.. so it works out. If you're a vodka lover like me, it may not seem there's many drink options for you, but they do have a full bar. My favorite vodka drink here is their "mojito" with vodka.. and you can choose a flavor like strawberry to add as well. The menu is huge, with a plethora of options for all palettes and whatever you're in the mood for. Even their cheeseburgers are good (though with a Mexican twist). The tacos are small but entree portions are large, so if you're really hungry, I'd suggest you opt for a burrito instead of a few tacos. Kids meals are nicely portioned and have good options as well. The restaurant is beautiful loaded with Mexican decor, it invites you to want to stay a while. I had the quesadilla birria and I've said this before, I've always been on a quest to find the best in Miami, this one is up there!!!! So so good. We sat at tables by the bar. Usually hubby's not a fan of high seats but these are super comfortable. I was in town for a quick visit and wanted to catch up with an old friend who suggested we have dinner at the Naked Taco. She had never been to it but wanted to try it out. The reviews were not exactly promising, which normally would have steered me away, but I decided to go with the flow and see what happens. I am glad I did not suggest choosing a different restaurant because we did have a positive and enjoyable experience. If I am in the area again, I would definitely consider returning. I ordered the Elote off the cob as an appetizer and my friend ordered a shrimp appetizer. The shrimp was decent even though I am not a seafood fan. The Elote was very tasty and I appreciated that I was able to get it off the cob as I hate having to eat corn on the cob because it's just messy and tends to get in my teeth. For my main meal, I ordered a buffalo chicken taco and the Philly cheese taco. I fully expected to like the Philly cheese one best as I prefer steak over chicken but surprisingly, I preferred the buffalo chicken one. Both of them were great though, but I liked the flavor of the chicken a little better. My friend also ordered two tacos and a side of rice and beans, but I can't recall which kind of tacos she got. They had Pacifico on draft, which was a happy surprise for me. Service was decent. It wasn't stellar but it wasn't bad either. The server was nice enough, got our order right, and didn't pressure us to leave while we chatted over another round of drinks after dinner. The total bill was $94 before tip for two appetizers, four tacos, a side of rice and beans, and four drinks. Not a cheap night out but not totally unreasonable either. My husband and I go out to eat regularly and any place that we enjoy eating at is almost always going to run close to or just over $100 for the two of us, so this was well within that range. I don't mind as long as the food is good and the experience is positive. Since I thoroughly enjoyed Naked Taco and would return, I think it easily ranks a 4 out of 5 stars. Don't let the negative reviews dissuade you from trying it out for yourself. This is especially true when a place like this is relatively new and still working out the early kinks. Based on what I read in the reviews, it sounds like they just need to work at being more consistent with the food and service experience. As a frequent patron of Naked Taco, I'm extremely disappointed with how we were treated during our visit on Cinco de Mayo. We've regularly entered through the back, sat at the bar or outdoor tables, and been served without issue. But today's experience was unprofessional and disrespectful. We were a party of 6, including my 1-year-old child, and took a seat at an outdoor table as we've done before. Moments later, a young female host approached us rudely and said, "You guys can't sit here," without greeting or courtesy. When I explained we've always been able to walk in and sit, she snapped back, "Yeah, no--you need to see the host," maintaining an unfriendly tone the entire time. She led me inside and offered us seating in an open area--while it was raining--completely dismissing the fact that I had a toddler with me. She insisted, "We're completely booked and sold out--I don't know what to tell you." I requested to speak to a manager. Nicki, the manager, came over and stated, "I have millions of people who want to see the show tonight and have made reservations weeks in advance." I told her we've never needed a reservation or paid to sit. Her response was indifferent. The same host then chimed in again with attitude, saying, "Yeah, I told them that, but they didn't want to listen." I understand this is your "Super Bowl" night--but let's be honest, the restaurant is often quiet. Loyal, paying customers like us are the reason your doors stay open on regular nights. The way we were treated today was unacceptable and insulting. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend Naked Taco to anyone based on this experience. Absolutely amazing ! I ordered at 10:30 before Naked taco was open via uber eats and then end up going to sleep . The bad thing is my Oder didn't have both of its components. I was uber exhausted so I didn't even check the bag before I went to sleep however when I woke up I noticed tacos were missing . As soon as I noticed I called the restaurant they look at my receipt and admit fault and asked me how I wanted to remedy the situation. They made me my tacos and I picked them up free of charges. It was my first time visiting naked taco and I surely did not expect it to turn out the way it did. I had low expectations but the tacos at this location were so yummy! I ordered the chicken Vallarta taco and the Baja fish taco. The tacos are about the size of an iPhone and they are not exaggerating when they say they are packed! They did not skimp out on the protein which made me very happy. The chicken Vallarta was my favorite of the two, the chicken was juicy and flavorful. We also had some guac and chips for the table and tried their chicharrones. The chicharrones were also surprisingly very delicious! They had great flavor and would melt in your mouth. All of the Toppings were on the Bottom of the Tacos as well which was Undesirable at Best. -Chicken Vallarta- Lime Crema was on the Bottom on the Flimsy Stale Tasting Flour Tortilla with the Mango Tasteless Salsa on the Side and the Chicken.. What was Extremely Commercial in such a way that could not be Consumed. -Gordo Pastor- Served on the same Flimsy Stale Flour Tortilla and SOAKED in the Pineapple BBQ Sauce. It was So Bad that this one was Such a Waste.. Both Tacos came with Cilantro but there was None Detected on either one. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken taco to try and it was also delicious and flavorful definitely worth the price flavor-wise. However it was very small. For my meal I go the single stuffed burrito which was HUGE! However it was stuffed with mostly rice and it was not great. The other ingredients were portioned so small that they didn't add any flavor. The chips it came with were good but could have gone a bit lighter with the salt. They were extremely salty. For our entrees we had the burrito and made it a chimichanga. It was delicious! Not once did someone ask if we needed anything. We then got the check and the tip options were "20%, 25%, or 28%." If the service was outstanding I would have absolutely loved to leave a great tip. I'm pretty sure the cheese was American cheese which was really gross. It was not authentic and there was no option for corn tortillas. The chicken was lacking flavor. This used to be one of my favorite Mexican spots for their larger than average tacos, delicious appetizers, and their take on the Crunchwrap. My favorite aspect of the menu was how creative the tacos were, like the Philly cheesesteak, smash burger, lamb shawarma, octopus, buffalo fried chicken, Korean fried chicken, etc. What's disappointing is that it seems they had a bit of a rebranding, at least when it comes to their menu. You can't order just one taco anymore, it has to come in a group of three of the same taco. You do have the option to mix and match, but it's more expensive to do so. The tacos are smaller, less creative, and lazily assembled compared to how they used to be. Yet they're more expensive now. Make it make sense. Before, I could get 3 different tacos for like $18. Now, it's $24. And on top of that, they got rid of the Crunchwrap which was a monster and so delicious and the "make it a three way" app that served you salsa, guac, and queso with your chips. Now you have to do it all separately which I'm sure is more expensive It's such a disappointment because I really loved this place and brought everyone here. Now it's not even worth it. My friend wanted fries so we started with the Mexican Truffle Fries, they are topped with truffle oil, queso fresco, and cilantro. The Mexican fries were nice and crispy. For our tacos, my friend went with the Philly Cheese Steak on a soft shell and I went with Chicken Vallarta on a hard shell. The Philly Cheese Steak is made with shaved rib eye, caramelized onion, garlic aioli, and grilled cheese. The Chicken Vallarta is made with mango salsa, lime crema, and cilantro. We were told the tacos would be very loaded, but we were expecting it to be more than one. The taco was very loaded, but it was just one, had we known that we would have ordered more. The tacos were good, the mango on mine was fresh and had great flavor combined with the lime crema. My friend said hers was also good and was very loaded. Our waiter was nice, but not very attentive, leaving us unattended for long periods, while we noticed he would continuously check on the table behind us. I have no idea why this place is rated so low. On my first time, I went with someone who loved the restaurant. I'm glad I did. The staff were friendly from the moment you enter. The food was very tasty! I recommend the salmon taco and taco salad. 1st time customer. Walked into an authentically looking cool Mexican Cocina. Really cool vibe. The decor is awesome. Adriana served us. She was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions. We had the Fajitas. OMG were they outrageous. The peppers and onions had so much color and so crisp and fresh. Not soggy at all. They had a great selection of hot sauces as well. Awesome place. It is a Must try. Can't wait to come back and explore this menu. Oh and you get a complimentary tequila and pineapple shot for dessert. Stopped at the bar on the way out while family went shopping.
