The chaufas and cocktails here are amazing. I was really impressed by the aji de galina. As a Chinese American living in Miami I don't get to experience authentic Chinese food but a part of Peruvian cuisine is Chinese inspired and the chaufas REALLY hit the spot for me. The earlier you arrive to them opening, the better the service will be. Food is incredible! By far one of my favorite places in Kendall to come and eat. Ill start off my saying that if you come during lunch, they have a pretty good deal year round that matches the Miami Spice vibe so you can eat for a cheaper price. Visited with a large (30ish) group for a work dinner. We were in a private room and had a few waitresses and staff supporting our group. The meal was preset with an option for entree. All of the food was very good and it was a lot. Every option they brought out just kept getting better! The service was friendly but it was very slow to get started and move through the courses. A few people ended up leaving before final bites because of the extended amount of time. I would also say that drink service was lacking. Many drinks were empty for extended amounts of time without asking for another order or even refilling water. This was a large group so understand it can be difficult, especially in a small space. The food itself was excellent. I would absolutely return, just not with a group of more than 6. read more

I went for brunch with my son, his girlfriend, my grandson, grand-daughter and her boyfriend and we all got the prix fixe option. For my starter I ordered the Causa Crocante. OMG! I loved it,. My grand-daughter raved about the tostones. Our group also ordered the empanadas and causa de pancita, everything was delicious and in a beautiful presentation. For our second choice, we got the chicken and waffles, streak and egg on avocado toast, burger and the lechon hash, respectively. They were plentiful and so good. Lol the perfect end to an amazing meal!! I got the bottomless pineapple mimosas and our server Marcos kept bringing them, every time he saw my glass was empty. He was so courteous and attentive. My first time trying a pisco sour. I really enjoyed the passion fruit one. I went during Miami spice and tried the Lomo Saltado Roll and the Arroz con Mariscos. I feel the like the rice could have used a little more seasoning although the flavor was there. I also feel like there was a lot of green onions and it kind of overpowered the dish. Overall the ambiance was good as they played different kinds of music and the decor of throughout the restaurant looked amazing especially with the dim lighting. Both me and my wife ordered a Lomo Saltado and I got a Pisco Sour to drink and since it was Happy Hour the drinks are half off. Knowing this was a Peruvian, I expected the Lomo Saltado to be top notch but was a little disappointed. The food was absolutely fantastic and in my opinion - a very good value considering price and portion sizes. I loved the chipotle ceviche and they loved their tostones. All 3 of us ordered the Tallarín Saltado and the Suspiro. The only note I'll give is that the Suspiro is RICH - I could barely finish mine. But it was delicious. The only problem we had was that it was HOT. It's summer in Miami with heat warnings up and down and for some reason they insisted on leaving the door open - I could barely enjoy my dinner because I couldn't stand eating something hot while sweating. I came here for a birthday party and the place was beautiful and in a really pretty area. We were seated fast since we had reservations. I order the lomo and it was delicious, I will say the meat was cooked on the medium rare side which is not to my liking but overall it was a very good dish. Where things went wrong is when we were ordering food for my little brother which is allergic to seafood, we were going to order a cheeseburger for him and we asked our waiter if anything was cooked on the same oil as any of the seafood, which he mentioned the fries were done in the same oil as the fish. so we decided to remove the fries just to be safe. When we receive our food and when my brother starts eating he started getting an allergic reaction, keep in mind we were not carrying any medicine on us. I spoke to the waiter to verify and they were extremely worried, chef came and apologize for the incident and didn't know where it went wrong. They seemed worried but we had to run to a pharmacy to get some medicine quickly. They offer to cook something else for him but we were afraid that it will happen again, since we had verify the first time and it still happened. Bill comes... they had the cheeseburger which he didn't even eat since he got a horrible allergic reaction, we had to speak to the manager to remove that. Sat outside on a beautiful day and enjoyed the Aji De Gallina and Yuca A La Huancaina from their pick two lunch menu and had excellent service from Elijah. The Aji De Gallina is pulled chicken served in a cream based sauce with a side of jasmine rice. It was delicious and I loved the sauce. The Yuca was cooked to perfection with a crispy outside and a fluffy/creamy inside. We came here on a Saturday night and were surprised we were seated immediately. Unfortunately, that was the only quick part of the night. It took forever for anyone to come to our table and acknowledge us. It took forever to get our food and drinks. After bringing the food, we had no utensils for at least 5-10 minutes. We had to ask the other waiters for water refills, eventually just asking them to leave the jug of water at the table because we were tired of asking. Once we finished eating, it took forever to get our check (so long that we had to get up and ask for it after about 30 minutes of waiting). I should note that it wasn't busy at all and we repeatedly just saw our waitress chatting with coworkers, so it wasn't like they were inundated with tables to attend to that they neglected us. The burger came messed up with cold fries and the pork bao buns were also not correct (and were not good). Thankfully, most of rest of the food was good. The fried rice was great and the tequeños were good as well. Unfortunately though, I can't recommend this place. read more
