We came here during the week to celebrate a birthday. We were a party of 7 and they did a great job bringing out a small cake with a candle for our birthday celebrations. They do not offer a happy hour menu but we did manage to come on Taco Tuesday. They offered 2 dollar tacos; shredded chicken, pork, or vegetable- these were the only tacos that were part of taco Tuesday. Parking was easy at 4:00 pm. We enjoyed the art paintings inside. Seating was comfortable and service was friendly and always available. Their margaritas were not too good and the food was not fresh tasting. Limes were dry and chips tasted stale and not fresh at all and the salsa was watery. We were all disappointed and unfortunately we will not come back. read more

The online website was stunning and well created and some people word of mouth had said good food here so 2 weeks ago we were on the website we clicked the "RESERVE" button prominently next to the company logo at the top of the screen and made a 5:45pm May 5th reservation online for a table of 10. 1 star because they never seated us, they never checked their online system for reservations and mismanaged the tables having us wait an hour as we get lost in their hurry to seat smaller tables ahead of us never gave us priority for yesterday's reservation even when we had lowered the party to just 8 of us. It was pure mismanagement not only of the tables but no estimated expectation of wait times. She instead holding a small notepad and wrote our name on a list along with everyone else. We patiently waited outside in the strip mall courtyard along with other patrons waiting and periodically she calling names of other people waiting to bring them inside. We waited and waited and waited especially since had waited for two people in our party stuck in traffic.. After about 40 minutes waiting me and a friend walked back inside where I clearly see a few small tables here and there empty but the lady still seating other people especially a two person table with those 2 people arrived way after we did. Again I told the lady we had reservations for 5:45 pm and mentioned to her she really needs to just start putting together small tables to make it a big table of 8. She apologized and said did not forget us and will first try a table of 6 and then move a 2 person table together. Outside we waited again for just 20 more minutes until 6:45. A hour waiting while they seating others is simply unacceptable. We all agreed to go somewhere else and I notified the lady that we cant stay anymore and to next time check their computers for online reservations and plan accordingly. That and the fact theres a tiny parking lot on the side of the strip mall full and looking for side street parking which at 5:30pm most spaces taken for people working and shopping in this area. I just don't see myself coming back for a large party, and maybe not even for a small party. Maybe just for Taco Tuesday deals. Will see. read more

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo here. Service is extremely overwhelmed. Too many servers for such a small restaurant, scolding each other. The building "ran out of cups." We waited for waters for a two person table about an hour and ten minutes. We're helped by 4 different waiters who all didn't know what our ticket was. Food was not seasoned and burnt. I genuinely felt awful for the service because they were mostly so nice just really overwhelmed by the volume of people ordering via mobile, so they couldn't serve the little people they had inside. They had three tables with customers and everything was so slow. When we got the bill, not only did they already include the service fee, but there was nowhere to sign. I've never seen that before. I went back after 2 years. I was super disappointed. When you come in it smelled like sewer I should have left but I thought let me give it a try maybe I am being extra. The food was horrible. I had their Passion Fruit Margarita, which was good and had a frothy consistency. To start, we had their Guacamole with Chicharrones. The chicharrones were crispy, and the Guac made for a perfect bite. We tried a few of their tacos, which were good, especially for the price. We had their Passion Fruit churros for dessert. I was not a fan. They have a filling but are very dry and hard to bite. Overall, Q'Onda Taqueria was decent. Very disappointing first-time delivery experience This was our first time ordering from this restaurant, and unfortunately it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. We ordered through Uber Eats, and the Uber driver was made to wait at the restaurant for over an hour past the projected pickup time, with no explanation other than that they were "very busy." The staff did not provide the driver with a clear update on when the food would be ready. I attempted to call the restaurant several times and received no answer. When I finally got through, the person I spoke with was very pleasant and polite and explained that they were extremely busy. While I understand being busy, communication throughout the process was poor. Throughout the delay, the Uber driver was extremely apologetic and maintained constant communication with me while waiting at the restaurant. When the food finally arrived, he even came to the door to personally apologize out of embarrassment, which further demonstrated that the delay was not due to the driver. The food eventually arrived nearly two hours after ordering, even though the restaurant is only about ten minutes away. To make matters worse, the drinks we ordered were not packaged and were never delivered at all. Unfortunately, the food quality did not make up for the long wait. The flautas were burned, the meat in the asada tacos was very fatty and chewy, and the birria tacos tasted like the meat had simply been boiled. The accompanying sauce was flavorless and watery. If a restaurant is overwhelmed to the point that it cannot fulfill orders in a reasonable time, it should not continue accepting delivery orders. Being busy is understandable, but leaving a driver waiting, ignoring calls, missing items, and delivering mediocre food shows poor organization and attention to customer service. This review reflects our actual experience and the food we received on this order. Was recommended by a friend to try Q'onda and a solid choice for Mexican in the Kendall area. The Gringas Tacos hit the spot, with a twist on Al Pastor tacos adding cheese and guac. Loved the refried beans, but the Mexican rice didn't do it for me. I came to this spot with my parents because my mom wanted a place with live music and lucky for us they have just that on Fridays. The spot is nice and cozy with lots of red lighting and welcoming staff. Multiple staff members kept coming up and asking if we needed anything. The food was incredibly seasoned and came out HOT. The only bad thing I will say is that if you come between the hours of like after six, and before the sun goes down, the sun is gonna be in your eyes, which is really annoying. They need to put a shade system in here. Now I traveled from Hialeah Gardens all the way to Kendall. This is where the restaurants at the food was good My only complaint was the sun. The fajitas were good. They could have had more flavor. Maybe add a little seasoning or lime, salt, something. A little plain but they were good and filling. The margarita was good. We were both very full after the meal. I had a lot of leftovers to take home. Our bill was $64. I didn't look to see if gratuity was added, or not. I did tip another 20%. And for dessert, we had the churro ice cream. The nachos were okay- since it had shredded meat it retained liquid and the nachos were soggy. The taste was good but the texture was not the best. My friend and I came here for Taco Tuesday, and it was great. The decor of the restaurant was adorable, with Jarritos on the walls and flowers hanging from the ceiling. The music also made the place lively. As soon as you sit down, they bring you chips and salsa. On Tuesdays, they have $2 tacos. I tried the shrimp, birria, and la gringa, and they were all really good. My favorite was the birria; it was juicy and very tasty. Surprisingly, my least favorite was the shrimp. The shrimp were too small, and that taco was just okay. My friend said the chicken taco was her favorite, as it had more flavor than the steak and la gringa tacos she tried. So we live close by and we wanted to pass by this nice little Mexican place. We go in one night. They gave us chips and salsa. Chips were cold and honestly a bit stale but we looked past it. One of the main reasons we went to have Mexican was to have a margarita. So I order one and ask the lady what kind of tequila they use. She says it's a type of wine. "We don't have a full bar". Super misleading place. I was so upset. They legit give you a "Cocktail Menu" and it doesn't have any type of liquor. Just a bunch of cocktail drinks with the description being "our spin on...."
