This review is for Dr. Prasad only. I began going to this facility for facial/skin treatments by Olga and Olga is amazing. Trusting her, I went to Dr. Prasad for a FREE consultation on weight loss medication. I only needed to lose 10-15 lbs but struggle with stress, thyroid, and menopause to lose weight. All I wanted was phentermine which I've taken before. Dr. Prasad has the worst personality. She's not friendly at all, couldn't laugh at anything I joked about. I told her I'd taken this before and it worked well. Having to only lose a small amount of weight, I didn't need a lot of direction. This consultation lasted 45 minutes because she felt it necessary to counsel me on sugar in the diet, getting your system into ketosis, how your body attacks sugars, etc. She repeated herself a lot too. Anyway, after 45 minutes she sent the rx in for me and I checked out. At check out I was told it was going to be $150. I said what, this is supposed to be a free consultation. They said the Dr. said it was because she spent a long time counseling me. I said I didn't ask for her counseling and didn't need it to be honest and that I didn't have a choice. I couldn't just leave and had no control over the visit or what to expect. She chose to spend that long with me. I paid it because I didn't want to make a scene purely because of Olga and my friendship. But it was brought to the office manager's attention and addressed the next day. I was offered a refund which I was thankful for. But that is simply bad business. Now instead of getting follow up visits at $100 each and future skincare with Olga and continued business, or referring anyone there, I will never go back to that practice and add yet another 1 star review to the 27 that currently exist. I definitely would not try this place out for sclerotherapy. I tried to give their aesthetic nurse on staff (can't remember her name) the benefit of the doubt with regard to her skill level but as my legs have healed after treatment, I'm noticing she made them visually far worse than before treatment. I know there is potential for a lot of risks and complications and it may take several treatments (I've been having sclero done for 10+ years) but I've never had my legs look worse and worse over time. I'm not sure she actually removed any of the veins I asked for and as far as I can tell she injected the sclerosing agent into the surrounding tissue more often than in the vein so now I'm left with a lot of painful bumps and clots after almost 7 weeks post treatment. If it weren't for the fact that I've had this done many times before with great results, I would assume it was just the luck of the draw. I lost a huge amount of my hair losing weight fast from malnutrition and after it wouldn't grow back due to my age apparently. I found Dr. Prasad through a high rating for hair procedures online and I never looked back. Sure, hair restoration is expensive but this center does their due diligence. All the staff is amazing and talented and photos speak for themselves. If I lose more hair I will definitely be visiting them again. Do your research and HW. I do NOT recommend this Dr and the Hair Restoration Surgery aka (FUE). I recommend Bosley in SF. The Dr does not do the surgery herself but has Med. Tech's do the entire procedure, due to risk of Repetitive Stress Injury to her wrists. The training and supervision are just not there, the staff is undertrained and not professional. The equipment is not up to par believe me that a broken medical table can cause unnecessary bleeding and swelling, the pain is not controlled due to the 1-Hour Lunch break; The WORST of it all is that it just didn't work. Most of the follicles did not take so almost 2000 graphs were used (hopefully)some maybe not all, who knows they ran out of time, and I look pretty much the same. She said she would follow you for a year but really there is nothing she can do if there is an ingrown follicle; I had one and I had to cure myself for an infected hair follicle. She doesn't care about the satisfaction patient. She and I both recommend Toppiks or a Colored Dry Shampoo for thinning hair. This place does miracles. I have been asking my husband for a while to get hair implants and he has talked to several doctors about it and it seemed that they are all trying to sell you more and more things and don't give you a lot of hope. Well my husband went to this place and they did not up sell him. The consultation was great and he walked out and knew this is the place. He got the hair implant in about half of the day. The staff is nice and very professional. They will give you lots of information on what to expect and care instructions for how it's going to work for the next weeks. Follow everything they tell you to do and you will be successful. There is a recovery time and for a couple of months you don't see a lot of results. But after about 2 months you can start seeing the hair grow. He has had several haircuts and it looks great! The time of this writing is 1 year later, and the changes are unbelievable. He has a head full of hair and more hair then he has had since I met him 15 years ago. We highly recommend this place. You will not regret going here. read more
