    Fried Momo

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The people who run this establishment are so kind, even offering drinks and snacks to the DoorDash drivers waiting. The place is small and seats about 8 and was quiet. The food is PHENOMENAL. It was rich and flavorful. We had the Samosas (2), the C-Style Momo's (pork, heat level 5), and the fried Momo's (Veg). You have an option to choose your filling (veg, chicken, or pork) I have tried many different places samosas from high end to street carts and they are by far the best! They were the size of my hand! The Momo's were the best thing I've had in a while. I would eat them everyday if I was given the opportunity. People need to know about this place because it is by far the best in Pittsburgh.

The food here is so so flavourful! Absolutely delicious! The flavors are so complex your pallet will be overwhelmed but in the best way. Our waiter was so personable and attentive. We ordered the steamed and fried momo, sorry about the picture because once we started eating, we could not stop! Do yourself a favor and check this place out! I promise you will love it!

Absolutely wonderful Momo that is moist and delicious. The sauce is made from scratch, and it is the perfect spice level. The dining room is small, but the owners are warm and welcoming. They shared their Momo Sauce recipe with me, and it is absolutely authentic. There are 9 Momo's to a plate, and there are lots of options in terms of filling and how you'd like it cooked.

Do yourself a favor and order the chicken fried momo. It is beyond incredible. The chicken steamed momos are delicious as well.

Delicious Nepalese food in the suburbs of Pittsburgh! Namaste Momo Corner was recommended by a Nepalese friend and I'm so glad we went! The staff was extremely kind and helped us choose the most popular dishes. The dumplings (momo) taste different than dumplings from other cuisines but I love the variety (and who doesn't love dumplings?!). I'd definitely come back if I was in the area and highly recommend others check it out if they're looking for something new.

Don't be fooled with the limited decor of this place. The food is amazing! I've never had the chatpate before and was told by other waiting customers that it was really good! They were right! It was full of spice and uniquely delish! The chicken chili momo was fried, tasty and resembled a bit of a spicy sweet and sour type of flavor. The Jhol momo was excellent! Curry and ginger were the strong flavors in this sauce and really hit the spot! The owners are super nice and made wonderful recom Update: I had the leftovers of chatpate for breakfast and was sad to see there was a small metal shaving in it. I'm sure by no means was it intentional. I would still visit this establishment again.

I hope it was just a bad day for them! Service was average for a Nepali place, no complaints. Drinks- the bar is more like a dressed up collection of hard liquor than a true bar. My friend ordered a vodka soda and got a warm shot of vodka with an offer to add some Coca-Cola to it. Ice was an after-thought that caused the shooter glass the whole thing was served in to spill over. To be safe I would recommend folks stick to either bottled beer or liquor that is good when served straight up, and warm. Tequila and scotch fit the bill. Food- We ordered an assortment of appetizers, followed by a pile of momos. Food was good, and we enjoyed our meal. Spice level was adequate although I would have personally enjoyed a bit more heat. On the whole, we left satisfied. Overall, I didn't hate it and the price was okay, but I think I'll try a different restaurant next time I'm in the mood for Nepali food.

Dishes we thought would come together were staggered out, lengthening the overall time we were in the restaurant. We had the Chicken Choila - tasted like a riceless biryani, not bad, a little salty. We had momo chili, a fried dumpling dish with competing flavors but overall good. We had two naans: chili and garlic. All very nice. Had "Chole Saag" (I think they mean Channa Saag?) .. good. Malai Kofta did not have carrots like other places, but it tasted good and you could actually see the paneer in it. Waiter could not tell us what "Kashmiri Naan" was other than to say "It has a different flavor" which I was like .. what? How can I decide then. When asked for a recommendation under pressure of ordering, he suggested Tandoori Chicken and I was like "nah" ... Negatives are mainly ambience and service issues. It was 1:30pm on a Sunday. Suddenly 10 people large family came in after us. Music got turned up when we arrived and it was too loud so server couldn't hear us. Server seemed unfamiliar with menu and was not always focused on us. Sometimes he would come and bypass us and ignore us. He was awkward with serving tray and didn't bus table. I think I meant to give him a low tip but ended up giving him a large tip by mistake. You have to go up to the cash register when you are done. They will not prompt you to do otherwise.

It's Oakland. It's exactly what one expects amongst the college neighborhood places. The food is awesome. That's the thing- the food has always been the best in Pgh. (Ok, Maybe a tie with India Garden in Monroeville.) The Chili Chicken is amazing. Huge juicy chicken chunks with veggies. Chicken Biryani, well all their Biryanis are amazing! It used…read moreto be a vibrant little buffet spot with music from Bollywood videos churning through the place, and it was lively with college kids. The last two times I visited, not so much. Last time, I didn't review; every restaurant has an off day. Today, I am so irritated by what I paid for the worst quality food and service that when I left, a couple was coming up the steps and I told them they should go elsewhere. (They did. I hope they landed somewhere great.) First of all, the lunch buffet had so little to offer -- bunches of empty trays full of sauces with nothing in the sauce (butter chicken with no chicken, muttar paneer with no paneer, etc). Dried up tandoori chicken, frozen sweet corn fritters like you'd see at eat n park on a Saturday morning, cold chicken wings, no naan (an Indian buffet without bread??) eventually replaced by dry, unbuttered naan -- these were several of your choices. Barely anything was refreshed. The noodles in both the savory dish and dessert were dried out and crusty. Overall the buffet was truly terrible--sparse, cold, and of poor quality. The cauliflower Manchurian, chili chicken, poori, samosas, nice vegetable curries....all a thing of this buffet's past. (New ownership? It has to be new ownership, right!?) The server never cleared our plates (though we barely filled them), never brought water refills, never asked how everything was. They don't even set the table anymore; grab your silverware and napkins at the buffet. When I went to ring out, three of us cost $60 (I still cannot believe I paid $20 a head for this) and the minimum tip choice I was given on the payment screen was 20%, which is laughable. I'm truly not a complainer; I eat out a lot and I simply don't expect that every experience will be stellar because most aren't, so I almost never review a bad experience because--like I said, even good places have a bad day. But this was bad enough that I hope I've saved you from going there.
