Pork Momo, Goat Mutton Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala
    Laura K.

This place is fantastic! Had to write a Yelp review since they had none and I guess Yelp isn't popular in Pittsburgh. But they deserve this one! We went around 5pm on Friday. Very quiet. One other couple eating in the rest of the customers came to pickup takeout. The host was very friendly. Menu had a really wide variety. Due to supply issues they were out of lamb but that made me try Mutton/ Goat for the first time and it is DELICIOUS! Why Americans don't eat more goat I'll never understand. It was super tender and has a mild roast beef flavor. Not gamey at all! We also had the chicken tikka masala. Comes with a hearty portion of rice. It was flavorful but very mild. We could have used some spice. Next time we will have to ask if there are levels of heat. We shared the pork momo dumplings. Perfectly steamed and flavorful. Can't wait to try other flavors! Overall great experience. It was a little bit of a wait to get our food but it was all very fresh. Portions are very large and we had an entire meal to eat for lunch the next day. We will be back!

We love it here! The jhol, fried and steamed momo are delicious. We love the savory and slightly spicy flavor of the mutton and chicken chau chau. We have liked everything we have gotten here. It is nice to dine in, but take out is great too. I only wish they had a website. I know they use delivery apps, but I always try to order directly from restaurants.

This place is *awesome*. The very definition of a "hidden gem," and an extension of the also excellent Momo Corner (which is a more casual place down the street). Everything we've tried is great, but personally I'd say: cut to the chase and get the momo. You won't regret it. Last time we had the roasted soybean salad, mutton chow mein and the chili momo. All three were packed with flavor, and the mouthwatering sweet & spicy chili momo left us dreaming about bringing some friends back for round 2.

Don't look like much on the outside but inside the Food is amazing. Hidden gem. Must stop by here and try the pork momo and the samosas. The noodles taste delicious and the spices are on point. You want true Asian food this is the place to get it, the prices are great as well! Add this spot to your list and you won't regret it!

Chicken Chowmein) spicy, tangy, really good and large portion

Cozy atmosphere and great decoration and music. The food is good. It's spicy, tangy, and juicy and you get a good amount. Great for its price.

The momo was tender and the filling flavorful. The Chicken Thupka is one of the best things I've eaten . Truly . What a local Gem.

It is because the food is amazing and the service is good. I had chicken mono and mutton chow mean. Both were perfectly seasoned and spiced. The flavors were just right and everything was cooked perfectly. The mutton was cooked to be crisp in little bite sized pieces and at first I thought that was strange. Then I tasted it. It should be cooked that way for this dish. It was an incredible flavor and texture. The chicken mono had just enough firmness to the dumpling skin and an amazing taste for the filling. This is a place for a good meal, a large group, a special bite, a family, or for having leftovers for your next meal. Also, the spiciness was exactly as I asked for it to be. And when I said to keep it low because I was sharing the dish with someone else they brought an amazing little dish of chili paste so I could adjust my portion as I liked. The owners are nice and attentive. They make sure you have what you need and that your experience is good. Plus they seem to be nice people in general. This is a treasure in Carrick and I would be willing o drive here from any place in the county. If I could give them bonus stars I would.

It's Oakland. It's exactly what one expects amongst the college neighborhood places. The food is awesome. That's the thing- the food has always been the best in Pgh. (Ok, Maybe a tie with India Garden in Monroeville.) The Chili Chicken is amazing. Huge juicy chicken chunks with veggies. Chicken Biryani, well all their Biryanis are amazing! As well as their pickles! Their breads are so hard to stop eating and not fill up on. I suggest going with family, order family style and share!

It used…read moreto be a vibrant little buffet spot with music from Bollywood videos churning through the place, and it was lively with college kids. The last two times I visited, not so much. Last time, I didn't review; every restaurant has an off day. Today, I am so irritated by what I paid for the worst quality food and service that when I left, a couple was coming up the steps and I told them they should go elsewhere. (They did. I hope they landed somewhere great.) First of all, the lunch buffet had so little to offer -- bunches of empty trays full of sauces with nothing in the sauce (butter chicken with no chicken, muttar paneer with no paneer, etc). Dried up tandoori chicken, frozen sweet corn fritters like you'd see at eat n park on a Saturday morning, cold chicken wings, no naan (an Indian buffet without bread??) eventually replaced by dry, unbuttered naan -- these were several of your choices. Barely anything was refreshed. The noodles in both the savory dish and dessert were dried out and crusty. Overall the buffet was truly terrible--sparse, cold, and of poor quality. The cauliflower Manchurian, chili chicken, poori, samosas, nice vegetable curries....all a thing of this buffet's past. (New ownership? It has to be new ownership, right!?) The server never cleared our plates (though we barely filled them), never brought water refills, never asked how everything was. They don't even set the table anymore; grab your silverware and napkins at the buffet. When I went to ring out, three of us cost $60 (I still cannot believe I paid $20 a head for this) and the minimum tip choice I was given on the payment screen was 20%, which is laughable. I'm truly not a complainer; I eat out a lot and I simply don't expect that every experience will be stellar because most aren't, so I almost never review a bad experience because--like I said, even good places have a bad day. But this was bad enough that I hope I've saved you from going there.
