You know it's a good sign when you don't have pictures of the food you ordered because it was inhaled the minute it reached your table. Located in a part of town you would not expect, this place serves delicious authentic Nepalese food.

Great restaurant! Our waiter, who I assume is also the owner/part owner, was telling us his food is amazing. We ordered the Pork Momos and the Chicken Thupka, both really tasty! The momo stuffing was seasoned well and the sauce almost reminded me of a Tikka Masala sauce. He told us he was from the East side of Nepal close to India, which would explain the close resemblance. The Chicken Thupka was full of flavor and really hits the spot on this snowy cold night. Will return to try more items on their menu!

This place is incredible. Two words - Authentic and Amazing! If you know what Indian Chinese street food tastes like, this is honestly the only place in the US where I've tasted that after India. This is a tiny little place in a tiny little corner, just after mount Oliver. If you're around Southside, this place is just a 15 minute drive. We ordered the veg chow mein, veg momo, veg thukpa and samosa. They served samosa with chole! And oh boy! It was soooo flavourful. Must try! We will be back soon

This is the best Nepali restaurant you will find in Pittsburgh. Pork sekuwa is the best. Best customer service.

Yep it's that good. Incredibly nice staff. Couldn't feed us enough. I like the Ferris wheel wallpaper too.

The samosas are good, but I wish there was a sauce that came with it (especially chutney).

Dishes we thought would come together were staggered out, lengthening the overall time we were in the restaurant. We had the Chicken Choila - tasted like a riceless biryani, not bad, a little salty. We had momo chili, a fried dumpling dish with competing flavors but overall good. We had two naans: chili and garlic. All very nice. Had "Chole Saag" (I think they mean Channa Saag?) .. good. Malai Kofta did not have carrots like other places, but it tasted good and you could actually see the paneer in it. Waiter could not tell us what "Kashmiri Naan" was other than to say "It has a different flavor" which I was like .. what? How can I decide then. When asked for a recommendation under pressure of ordering, he suggested Tandoori Chicken and I was like "nah" ... Negatives are mainly ambience and service issues. It was 1:30pm on a Sunday. Suddenly 10 people large family came in after us. Music got turned up when we arrived and it was too loud so server couldn't hear us. Server seemed unfamiliar with menu and was not always focused on us. Sometimes he would come and bypass us and ignore us. He was awkward with serving tray and didn't bus table. I think I meant to give him a low tip but ended up giving him a large tip by mistake. You have to go up to the cash register when you are done. They will not prompt you to do otherwise.

Amazing food. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Comfortable setting. Who could ask for more?read more

It's Oakland. It's exactly what one expects amongst the college neighborhood places. The food is awesome. That's the thing- the food has always been the best in Pgh. (Ok, Maybe a tie with India Garden in Monroeville.) The Chili Chicken is amazing. Huge juicy chicken chunks with veggies. Chicken Biryani, well all their Biryanis are amazing! As well as their pickles! Their breads are so hard to stop eating and not fill up on. I suggest going with family, order family style and share!

It used…read moreto be a vibrant little buffet spot with music from Bollywood videos churning through the place, and it was lively with college kids. The last two times I visited, not so much. Last time, I didn't review; every restaurant has an off day. Today, I am so irritated by what I paid for the worst quality food and service that when I left, a couple was coming up the steps and I told them they should go elsewhere. (They did. I hope they landed somewhere great.) First of all, the lunch buffet had so little to offer -- bunches of empty trays full of sauces with nothing in the sauce (butter chicken with no chicken, muttar paneer with no paneer, etc). Dried up tandoori chicken, frozen sweet corn fritters like you'd see at eat n park on a Saturday morning, cold chicken wings, no naan (an Indian buffet without bread??) eventually replaced by dry, unbuttered naan -- these were several of your choices. Barely anything was refreshed. The noodles in both the savory dish and dessert were dried out and crusty. Overall the buffet was truly terrible--sparse, cold, and of poor quality. The cauliflower Manchurian, chili chicken, poori, samosas, nice vegetable curries....all a thing of this buffet's past. (New ownership? It has to be new ownership, right!?) The server never cleared our plates (though we barely filled them), never brought water refills, never asked how everything was. They don't even set the table anymore; grab your silverware and napkins at the buffet. When I went to ring out, three of us cost $60 (I still cannot believe I paid $20 a head for this) and the minimum tip choice I was given on the payment screen was 20%, which is laughable. I'm truly not a complainer; I eat out a lot and I simply don't expect that every experience will be stellar because most aren't, so I almost never review a bad experience because--like I said, even good places have a bad day. But this was bad enough that I hope I've saved you from going there.
