I stumbled upon Jazz Eyebrow on Saturday after having my nails done nearby. I have been wanting to get my eyebrows done for so long now, and I had some extra time so I looked up Jazz Eyebrow's ratings and decided to see if I could come in as a walk in. Luckily, I was told I could be seen right then and there, and my eyebrows look great! While the cost on the sign outside says $8.99, the total ended up being $12 I believe. I tipped as well, but just thought I'd mention. It was worth it! read more

I went to a woman in Culver City who destroyed my brows in October 2024. I was angry about that for two months. It takes a long time for me to grow my brows. It really impacted my self esteem. In March 2025, I searched for a threader in my location because I was in a pinch. I prayed to the brow gods that I would find a good place. I found Jazz eyebrow and the woman who did my brows was so quick and professional and nice. But, none have that really mattered. She did an exceptional job on my brows!!! That was priority number 1. I feel healed and perfect!!! read more

Almost didn't see it but on the street I decided to walk in to give it a try. Good price for upper lip and brow together as a combo. Walked up the stairs towards back of building and rang a bell then the worker came out. She was super nice and got my brows looking super fleeky so I would come back. read more

I've come here three times during business hours and the door is locked and no one answers when I knock. I wish she would update her business hours to reflect when she will actually be here. And when I've come, its been at 5 PM (Online it says she closes at 6). I know she does a good job! I just wish I could catch her! read more

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded here for the better part of 4 years, and now that I'm moving soon I'm so sad that I won't be able to come here! Tip: Don't come here within the first 45min of opening. Students pay $7 for a good threading. Stamp card is now buy 7 get 1 free. I recommend!! Came here to get my eyebrows done for the first time (I've been tweezing them myself for years but after over-tweezing I've let them grow out for a few months to get them done so I can see what they look like when cleaned up by a professional). The lady did great, wish I caught her name but I think she was the owner since she was the one who unlocked the door. Didn't take too long or hurt too much. My skin wasn't even red after. Came out nice and clean. She also asked if I wanted aloe gel after (I also saw that she had witch hazel) and put the aloe on for me. I'm glad she asked if I was a student or I might have forgotten to mention it, so it was $7 with the student discount. I plan to come here and get my brows done more often cause they looked so good. Service could have been better. She was very quiet but she was straight business. More talking would've been nice for me though since it was my first time and I really didn't know what I was doing or that I was supposed to hold my skin while she threaded or anything. I was very nervous and confused but I'm happy with the result. What did suck was that this was my second time coming here, the first time I came at 10:00 am. waited for 25min, and no one ever came. The door to the hallway was open and had the sign saying we're open was there, but the door to the actual place was locked and me and others tried knocking. I tried to call the number too, no one picked up and their voicemail isn't set up. This time I came at around 10:20am and the owner came in at 10:30 am and started dusting the place until I walked in and she started on me straight away. So while I do recommend this place, I suggest coming after 10:45 am to make sure they're open. Unless, I'm wrong and they open at 10:30 am then that's my bad but 10:00 is what it said on their door, stamp card, google and here. read more

Everything went perfectly well. Sonya is the type of individual who actually listens to what a customer desires. She never takes too much. That is why her technique surpasses all these others eyebrow threading professionals. She is a patient, competent business owner who deserves to be recognized for her hard work. I kind of accidentally stumbled across this place while walking to the old Thread Bar location. I'm glad I found this place because I was not about to pay $15+ to get my brows done/ turn around to walk to the new Thread Bar location. So far, I've come here twice and it's always a pleasant experience. The same lady has done my brows both times (I forget her name). She is super nice and thorough, and my brows have come out nice both times. I always walk out feeling prettier. Although they don't charge much ($8 or $10 from what I remember), the quality of service is fantastic. read more

I don't think you can beat the prices here, and the quality is just as good as what you'd get at a place that charges double for threading. I work in the area and dropped by during my lunch break to get my brows done, and I was in and out within five minutes, and it only costed $8! (I usually give tips to show my appreciation, and I recommend you do too!) There wasn't anyone else there when I arrived, although a few people showed up by the time I left. Like most brow threading places, she makes quick work of your brows, so I can't imagine you'd ever have to wait too long. She does one of the more gentler jobs I've had with eyebrow threading, although my eyes watered a bit, but it didn't hurt. I will say that she shaped my brows a little differently than how I usually get them done, but I also think I scrutinize my brows a lot more than anyone could notice, so I didn't think too much of it. The place isn't difficult to find, as long as you remember is Suite 217. Walk though the courtyard, up the stairs, and turn right to find the room. She accepts credit cards, but each transaction incurs a $2 processing fee, so I'd recommend bringing cash. Overall, a fantastic place and I'm so glad it's here--I will definitely be coming back regularly! read more

I've been coming here for over 4 years and it has never disappointed me. UCLA students - this is the only place you should be going to get your brows threaded. Nowhere else compares. First off it's cheap as fuck and if you show proof that you're a student, you get an extra discount. Yesterday I got my brows and upper lip threaded for only $12! Secondly, Muskan is an angel. She will generously apply a fuck ton of aloe on you, enhanced with a slight massage. Third, I am in and out of there for never more than 15 minutes. Every one who works here knows what their doing and gets the job done quick and painless. Fourth, even on top of the cheap ass deal AND the discount, they mother fucking give you a stamp card. 10th one is for FREEEEEEEE. I swear, don't go anywhere else. No other thread bar will make you as happy as this one can. Also hella street parking. And there's a bathroom. And entertaining music videos while you wait. read more

I grew my eyebrows for two months so I could get the perfect shape, she messed it up completely. I now have uneven eyebrows. They don't match each other. One is thicker than the other! When I told her, she said oh no, it should look like that. huh??! DONT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! read more

Jazz Eyebrow is the best place for threading. Almost every time I go, there's no wait and the owner, the same very sweet lady who does the threading is so good. She's gentle. When I used to go to other salons, they would always make me bleed. Not at Jazz! I'm never in pain and my eyebrows always come out so beautiful and perfect. Eyebrow thread is only $7.99! so affordable. This is definitely a gem in Westwood. I almost don't want to give this review b/c I don't want to wait in line but when you find good service, good people and good business, you just have to rave about them. I will be coming back again and again. Love this place! read more

Honestly this place is amazing. Yeah, it's not the prettiest interior but you get such an amazing deal on eyebrow threading. The lady is simple and quick. It's $7 for UCLA students--make sure to bring your student ID's! I'd say it can be difficult to look for street parking though :/ read more

I really like this place! Went there today for the first time. It is $8 for eyebrow threading, and you get a one dollar discount if you're a student. I don't have a lot to say: the service is great, they do a good job, and it's quick :) However, bring cash. There is a $2 charge for credit cards. read more

Tucked away in a little outdoor office building complex on Westwood, it may be a bit hard to find initially, but Jazz Eyebrow is worth looking for. The lady working here (I never catch her name, but so far in the few times that I've been, it's only ever been her there) is quick but thorough, and the quality of the threading is amazing for the price point. $7 for UCLA students and $8 dollars otherwise. I only ever get my eyebrows done, so I cannot speak to anything else here. She does trim the eyebrows with scissors (in case people do or don't like that, just FYI), though I'm sure you could request her not to... She also offers aloe gel at the end to help with redness post-threading, should you need it. There is a loyalty card that you can pick up at the end, and if you get 9 done the 10th is free. read more

For everyone who doesn't know- this place is under new ownership and the new owner is also named Sonia... so if you read anything bad IT'S NOT TRUE! This place is a hidden gem. Sonia has hands of gold and I don't allow anyone else to touch my eyebrows but her. I am really sensitive about where I get my eyebrows done because I have had people mess them up in the past and it took forever for them to grow back out. Sonia does exactly what you ask for. On top of her job being so amazing, she is also the sweetest and kindest person you will ever meet. I really had a pleasant experience.This place looks like a little house and its so cute and comfortable. If you have been here before and had a bad experience, give it another chance. This places on Westwood Boulevard and in a building that you have to go up to and follow the signs in order to get there. Before you even get in just know that it's street parking only and you can try and park on some of the streets that has two hour parking or you can do the metered parking on Westwood Boulevard. When I got there I was greeted by a friendly staff member and the place is a small Studio which contains a few chairs. It is very simple and eyebrows cost $8 to do, but if you're paying with credit card you are obligated to pay a $2 fee. If you pay in cash then no need for that fee. The woman did a nice job which took her about 5 minutes. However I did have to pluck out a few hairs that were missed when I got home. It was also add that there was no alcohol or witch hazel or anything of that sort of plied to the face before or after the threading. read more

Best price in town! Really you can beat it any where else. Takes credit card, but there is a charge for less than $10 so be sure to have cash or a debit card. No appointment necessary which is always a plus and she got me right in and out. Walking distance for me and I'm sure the entirety of the UCLA campus. 4.5 stars! This was a nice surprise! Sonia is really good and friendly and there was no wait when I walked in. This is a nice change from Thread Bar across the street which usually has a wait and mostly is not friendly. It is 7.99 for eyebrows and 25 for full face. She gives you a discount if you're a student, I think to 23 for full face and 7 dollars for eyebrows. She did a great job and was very thorough. I still like Zaib better in Venice but this is much closer to me. I will likely switch over from thread bar to come here. It is difficult to find, but there are arrows pointing you to the right location. The studio is pretty bare but functional! Highly recommended--great quality, prices and location! read more

WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE! Wanted to go to thread bar today, but saw an advertisement for a $7.99 threading promotion so why not?! The place is a little hard to find because its on the second story of this building but they have arrows pointing you the correct way. The owner was really nice and attentive the entire process. She reallly took her time and allowed me to check in with each brow before she continued on to the next. I also really enjoyed that she cleaned me up afterwards too and wiped my brows with aloe! tip: $7.00 for UCLA students and if you get a stamp card, your 6th threading is free! give it a shot ya'll read more

Super slow. I was in that chair slow long getting my brows threaded that my back and shoulders hurt from arching back. And my brows didn't even look that good. The shape was so ugly. Only reason why I came here was Thread Bar was randomly closed. Big mistake. read more

She educated me, giving me tips and tricks to bring back home to Florida and I can't thank her enough for giving me such special attention. I was having dinner at Bacari the same night and found out that one of the girls I was sitting with ALSO goes to Aida. Again, this further proves her icon status.

So I told her I'd think about it but it might be too much since I'm a student. She said I would only find cheaper at "those Indian places where they don't know what they're doing." She then went on a bit of a racist rant about Indians not knowing how to shape eyebrows like she does, which was awkward. Definitely put me off from wanting to try her. IMO Indian people are pretty capable of doing eyebrows just fine lol. Felt like I had to leave a review since it was such an odd racially charged experience.

I recently purchased a 10-session package for $430. I only learned Alyssa was leaving because she casually mentioned it during one of my last appointments. As a client with a half-used prepaid package, I was never proactively notified, offered options, or told how my remaining services would be handled. To be fair, I genuinely tried to make the situation work. I even booked an appointment with one of the artists Alyssa personally recommended. Unfortunately, while they were kind, the results simply were not to my standards. That confirmed what I already knew: I purchased this package specifically because I trusted Alyssa's work--not simply because I wanted eyebrow threading. Feeling stuck, and without another solution, I requested a prorated refund of the unused package. I didn't ask for this refund because of any changes on my end. I requested one because the provider whose services I specifically prepaid for became unavailable indefinitely. Had Alyssa not left, I never would have requested a refund. Instead, I was expected to absorb the financial loss caused by circumstances entirely outside my control, which I believe was fundamentally unfair. Although Alyssa did agree to issue a partial refund, which I appreciate, she would only do so after retroactively repricing all of my completed appointments at the full individual session rate instead of the discounted package rate I had paid. As a result, my refund was substantially reduced. I would never have chosen to receive these services at the full individual session rate. I purchased the package because the discounted pricing reflected the value I was willing to pay. Retroactively converting completed appointments to the full retail rate fundamentally changes the financial agreement I originally accepted. I was told that Alyssa's policy only allows a package-rate refund if an artist "permanently leaves." However, "buying a one-way ticket", "planning to travel for over a year", and having "no return date"is, from a client's perspective, functionally no different. Expecting clients to leave hundreds of dollars with a business indefinitely in the hope that an artist may someday return is unreasonable and unfair. Unfortunately, this experience reflects what I now recognize as a broader pattern. When the studio transitioned to the Fresha booking app, I accidentally booked with a newly hired artist because I didn't realize the new system assigned providers differently than before. Of course, I was welcome to keep that appointment, but I am very particular about my eyebrows, and for several years Alyssa had been the only person I trusted to thread them. Rather than proceed with an artist I didn't know, I immediately explained the misunderstanding and chose to forgo the appointment and wait for Alyssa instead. Despite being a loyal client for years, there was no flexibility or grace for what was clearly an honest mistake during a confusing system transition, and I was still required to pay for an appointment I never received. I've also seen disheartening posts on her business instagram page where she appears to poke fun of clients who arrive late. While every business has the right to enforce a late policy, publicly ridiculing clients who support your business struck me as unprofessional and disappointing. Even as someone who was never once late to an appointment, I still found these posts to be incredibly off-putting. True customer service isn't only about offering clients a drink when they arrive. It is about showing respect for them in difficult situations, especially when your business can no longer fulfill its obligations. Although Alyssa's talent is undeniable, and I sincerely wish her the best with her travels, her talent doesn't excuse poor communication or unfair business practices. After six years of loyalty, I expected to be treated with far more transparency, fairness, and consideration than I received.
