It was so so nothing special. The ladies were too busy to have an table side manners. The food was okay!

Stopped here about 7:30 with 4 of us as it said they were open until 9PM. Seated promptly but they were already getting tables ready for the next day and I had to ASK for then to NOT take the spicy mustard. There was no Soy Sauce on the table and I had to go get it from another table when the food came. We were informed they were out of fried rice and I guess it was too much trouble to make more. I was unhappy so they brought me a Small portion (last of it??). The others had white rice, no choice. The shrimp dish was just OK per my wife and my twice cooked pork was VERY fatty and I ended up leaving 1/3rd of it. We finished eating about 8:15 and before we were ready or even before they brought the bill, there were bussin our table and even taking the water glasses without asking and we had to stop them. The fried shrimp and pork on the combo meals were heavily breaded and deep fried. Service is beyond terrible. These people who work here are so incredibly rude. My 90+ year old grandmother had asked to sit in a larger booth for comfort as she just got out of the hospital a week ago. They couldn't understand our request and when we tried to explain, the server just walked away saying "whatever". I couldn't believe her rudeness to my grandmother like that. I wanted to walk out, but my grandmother said that wouldn't be right. The food has gone down in quality and up in price. It's not the same anymore. read more

The food is subpar. The ladies that work out front are extremely rude. I tend to be one of their "younger" customers and they never greet me and never check on me see how things are. I see them do this with the older crowd in the room. It makes me not want to go back there again because of the way they act. They really need to learn some customer service skills. read more

Big sign on window said OPEN. Sign on door said close at 9:00 PM. We (four) arrived at 8;00 PM and was greeted at the door by a very unfriendly woman standing in our path telling us they close at 9:00PM. We acknowledged the closing time but knew what we wanted and we were the only customers so thought it wouldn't take long to prepare our order."No hot tea because it is time to close" was the terse response to our drink order. She then walked away going on in Chinese so we left and ate at another restaurant that was glad to see us, serve us and thanked us as we left at 9:00 on the dot. read more

I'm from Chicago so I know good Asian restaurants. I like Nan Jing. What they do is limited compared to some Chinese restaurants I go to, but the food is well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced. The place is spotless and the service is fine. The crowd is the usually Sun City/West type of crowd. It's located in a strip mall, but everything is out here. read more

This is a go to place for us for lunch and occasionally dinner. It reminds me of the little Chinese coffee shop restaurants I went to growing up in the California Bay Area. It's clean, the food is good, and the prices are very good. You want fancy with a heavy Asian ambiance? Then go to another higher priced place. This place is just good honest food. All meals are served with water and hot tea, we rarely order other beverages. Staff is efficient and friendly, they refill water as needed and more tea if requested. They clear empty dishes and keep the table in good order. read more

The older woman was obnoxious and demanded that everyone in our group tip before she took our order. The meal was very disappointing- the chow mein was merely a dish of cabbage with bits of undercooked pork with crispy noodles. We're used to chow mein that has pan fried noodles (like spaghetti). The fried rice did not have the traditional peas and scrambled egg - it was very brown and tasted like smoke. The sweet and sour pork was chewy and had lots of fat. The bill was a torn off piece of cash register paper with a hand-written amount on it - no breakdown, tax, etc. Definitely won't go back. read more

I was apprehensive coming to this restaurant after seeing the previous reviews but chose to try it out in my lunch break any way due to it being close to work . I showed her how the meat was browning and touched the meat to show that it's not even loop warm . I was in the mood for Chinese and did not feel like driving g the extra 5 miles to my go-to Chinese place. I had been here before some years back and thought I remembered I was not impressed... (I remembered correctly). I was really not impressed. The food was extremely bland and they forgot my chili oil, which is a no-go for me. I've got to have my chili oil. We had the pot stickers which were cold and lacking flavor, the egg drop soup which was seriously lacking in salt, the house fried rice was not the worst. I have a theory that the food is purposely bland and lacking salt due to their 55+ customer base here in Sun City. It wasn't the worst Chinese I've ever had, but I would not be back, at least not a for another 5 years when I forget again. read more

We went in, six days ago, to eat dinner, at a few minutes past 8:00 p.m. A rude woman said, "We close at nine." We said we know, and asked if it was too late to eat. She pointed across the room and told us to go get a table. We sat down and she slapped the menus on the table in an angry manner. We asked if we could have hot tea and she said, in a mean voice, "No hot tea, we unplug teapot." "you have cold tea, not hot!" The whole time, she acted very put out. We decided to go somewhere else and politely told her we would just go eat somewhere else since she wanted to close. We found a restaurant, down the street, that also closed at 9:00. They were so nice, smiling the whole time instead of frowning with an ugly scowl. We left at 8:59 and they thanked us. Why does Nan Jing have a sign saying they are open till 9:00? They need to change it to 8:00. I will never go to that restaurant again. read more

Food was not as ordered simply. Then the price was off the charts for such a simple one person meal. How can someone mistake chicken chow mean for shrimp? Never seen such blatant disregard of customers orders. As I entered I saw the family ,no customers , all eating at once about 3pm. I didn't find out till I returned home. That it was not at all what I had ordered. Haven't been there since last year , but things have definitly changed. I even payed extra for the meal included, no soup or Wan tons either. I'm glad I came here. I almost didn't based on the reviews. It's not the best Chinese food I've ever had but it's not bad. It is kind of bland but that's why God invented sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce. I got my order for carry out and it was fast (like 5 minutes) and when I got it home it was very hot. The service was super friendly and quick and the restaurant looked pretty clean. My only complaint is that my fortune cookie was crushed. Early bird special with tip, less than ten bucks. This was just average at best. Stopped in on a Saturday night and the place was full, so we were optimistic. The food was not great ( beef lomein and chicken chow mein).
