Came here in summer 2026 (July '26) with family during their soft opening and have to say they are doing a great thing. We ordered a mix of dumplings and some dim sum and specialty drinks. Their menu was somewhat limited due to their soft opening but for what they did serve we were very well pleased. Service was friendly and restaurant was clean and relaxed. They seemed to be pretty busy for a Monday afternoon. Ambiance is very modern and feels like you are transported to China as the decor is quite well done. Now for the food.. the dumplings and dim sum were absolutely fantastic. Drinks were on point and I would say their location is dynamite. Located in the Mall of Georgia right across from Red Robin. Parking is the only thing I would say is a little tricky as their shared parking lot was packed. Service wise, Loreal was absolutely awesome and very friendly as well helpful and efficient. Southern hospitality with fast and quick service. She checked on us and made sure our entire meal was on point along with the manager who was also very kind. Wishing Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings all the best with their grand opening and a truly welcome addition to Buford. 5 stars and thank you!

Dined in on a Friday night, there was a very long wait so be prepared! They do not take reservations at this time and towards the end of our wait (around 1 hour 15 minutes, they were turning people away). Not much room for waiting but it is by a mall so lots of room to walk around while you wait. The restaurant is a little small. But service is very quick, our food arrived very quickly after we ordered it. I think better pacing if the dishes could bump this restaurant to next caliber along with the service being a little more professional. We were delivered the wrong dish twice and had to send it back. Once we were sat, we were greeted quickly. This restaurant is very similar to Din Tai Fung. The food was very tasty and flavorful. You can see the soup dumplings being made in the restaurant. We ordered the Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings, these have a really flavorful soup with pork, more broth than Din Tai Fung which I actually prefer! Lovely vinegar as well that compliments the Soup dumpling well. A must order. We got crispy dough which was okay. The Scallion pancake was delicious and something I would order again. Perfect flakiness. The pork fried buns were delicious, very doughy but so good. We also ordered the Shanghai Sweet and Sour Pork spare ribs that were delicious, the sauce is so good and is what makes this dish, however, prefer Din Tai Fung's to Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings. Also ordered the Sautéed Green Beans which added a nice freshness to the meal. For dessert we ordered the Pumpkin Cakes which is tasty if you are into pumpkin flavored things. Overall, I really enjoyed our time here and think this is very worth the cost. I almost don't want to post this review because I want to keep this place a secret even though the wait times are already quite long. I think once this restaurant is open for a view months they will be able to work the quirks out. Would come back!

We were excited for months to try this place when they finally opened, and it was a bit disappointing. The soup dumplings were truly a let down, very bland and too big to fit in anyone's mouth in one bite (and I think we all agree that if you have to bite or cut one in half, it kind of defeats the point); however, the peripheral menu items were very good. The pork dumplings, beef soup, fried rice, and spring rolls were all delicious and very flavorful. The service was quite lacking, and our server seemed borderline angry we had the audacity to come dine in her section. The restaurant itself is well decorated and themed, but the tables themselves are WAY too close together. Even small children can barely fit between them; the little serving robot that roams around also couldn't get through. I completely understand the need to maximize profit by fitting in as many tables as possible, but when the wait staff can't get to their tables it's a problem. I genuinely don't like leaving a negative review - but when a restaurant is named for a menu item and that menu item is the worst offering they have ... it's a bit disappointing. We may be back, but certainly not for the soup dumplings.

Waited about 40 minutes for a table for two of us so not bad for a Sunday afternoon. Enjoyed all of the food item we ordered. The udon was delicious and easily shareable. The soup dumplings were also very good and filling. The hot and sour soup had a kick to it and was pretty thick. It was a large portion size but probably our least favorite thing. Service was a big miss- the waitress did not check on us until we were done with our meal. We asked for our check and she just never came back, luckily we were able to wave down someone else so we could pay and leave.

Ok this is a Michelin recommended so I had high hopes for this place. Waited about 40 mins but they give you a beeper so we had a drink at the Red Robin across the mall while we waited. A couple of notes, it's literally next to the theater and there is an outside entrance and a mall entrance. They do not have alcohol at least they didn't when we went. They said they didn't have people to work the bar. The feel of the restaurant is very much a mall feel. Like when your in Vegas at a restaurant in a hotel. It lacked personality. To make things worse we're put in a corner table and the area smelled like urine. Like a subway. The theater is next door and not sure if the restaurant was built next to the men's room of the theater. Service was not at all what I would expect for any restaurant let alone a Michelin recommended. They did not even ask if we wanted drinks. We asked what waitress recommended but she didn't have much. We ordered the pan fried dumplings, the seafood udon noodles, the veggie dumplings and pickled cukes. The food came out in reasonable times. The cukes were good, this is a cold side but lacked flavor of some kind. I feel like it needed a little sweetness and acid. Could have used a little salt. The undone noodles looked good but the scallops were so small they were hard to pick up. Again it lacked the pizzazz. A little sweetness and acid. It was lack luster. The pan dumplings were good. The veggie dumplings definitely needed something. All in all for a Michelin recommended it was a disappointment. I'm not sure I would ever go back. It felt very vapid, no personality, flavor and service was poor best.

Lovely dining room with lots of servers. We waited 1.5 hours for a table. The dumplings were good, as expected. Not exceptional but definitely on the better side of average. The west lake beef soup was rather bland (no cilantro?) and the fried dough was a bit oily. My husband had the spicy beef and tripe and enjoyed it very much. It is a generous size, bigger than we expected so we ordered way too much food. We also ordered the dry beef and peppers noodles. They were a little spicy and the noodles had very good texture. I'm not sure if we will return as this is really far from us. If you are in the area though, you should definitely check it out.

The food we ordered all came so quickly! We got the pork xlb, crab xlb, pork chop noodles, tofu appetizer, hot and sour soup. The noodle texture was really good and I thought the soup was pretty good for a clear soup, could've used a little more pepper but it was salty enough. The pork chop was okay, a little overfried and I didn't like that it came with the bone, it was pretty stuck on the bone type of pork. The hot and sour soup was so good! Perfectly balanced. The tofu appetizer was okay, definitely could've been a little colder than it was and more tofu as it was very celery heavy. The soup dumplings were very flavorful, though the skin was a little too thick for my liking. The top part was hard and thick so after one dumpling I started taking that part off. And maybe due to the placement of the dumplings. They were too close together and would rip once you get one. Overall, the service here was friendly, and fast ! Also the place was so hot for some reason, it felt like there was no ac so it was a very hot experience but overall the ambiance was nice.

We got to try out the soft opening of Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings at Mall of Georgia today. Their soup dumplings menu is still limited to only four types for now until their official grand opening on August 3rd. We came around lunch time on a weekday and there was no wait so we were seated right away. Service was fast and friendly. Every server offered to help and check in on us so you didn't have a dedicated server. Prices are much cheaper that DTF. The soup dumplings are around $12-14 for 6. Majority of the appetizers are around $8-10. The larger portion entrees are around $14. Portion size is decent. Now the important part, the food! - Nan Xiang soup dumplings: their signature pork dumplings. Flavor was good but not super memorable. Plenty of soup. - Truffle & pork soup dumplings: Definitely a WOW moment. The umami from the soup was perfect. - Garlic string beans: Good but not memorable. Definitely very disappointing because I still dream about the garlic string beans at DTF so I was hoping this would be close but it wasn't it. - Beef udon: Just ok. Pretty lackluster. - Short ribs: This is a no. Flavors are odd. It's not savory, it's not sweet. It's kinda sour? Texture is just soft. I was expecting a nice char on the outside with a thick sticky sauce and tender in the middle. This was not it. Overall, it was ok. I wished they offered larger spoons to catch all the juice when you pierce through the dumpling. The skin is thicker than I would like so I find the soup dumplings at DTF to be much better. None of the other items we got really impressed me. I will say it's definitely one of the better soup dumplings in Atlanta area so worth trying out if you're in the area but I personally wouldn't make a pilgrimage for it.

Finally tried Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings! This was my second attempt as the first time the wait was too long before a movie time and they do not accept reservations. I arrived on a Friday afternoon just after opening and was able to walk right in. The food came out quick and was hot and delicious. I had the Nan Xiang pork soup dumplings and chicken udon noodles. The service itself, minus the food coming out quickly with the runners, was inconsistent. I was met quickly by my server and then disappeared most of the time. Once to fill water and then took a long time to flag them down for my check. Thankfully I did not have anywhere to go right after. Besides that, it was a wonderful lunch and I look forward to trying different menu items next time.

Finally they opened this location here. I've had in before in New York and this is just as good here. Everything we got was super delicious. My favorite is the original soup dumplings. I also liked the pan fried buns and the chicken soup as well as the pig ears. Will definitely come back to try the other three flavors of soup dumplings we didn't try yet

Very convenient for after the movies. We stopped in for lunch after our movie. It was a weekday they were busy but we were sat right away. They have lots of seating. We ordered the signature soup dumplings, fried spring rolls and chicken udon noodle bowl. Everything was very fresh and good. My favorite was the udon noodles. Depending on how hungry you are you might want to order an additional item.

NYC's best soup dumplings are now in Georgia! And yes--they're finally here at the Mall of Georgia. The ambience is warm and welcoming, where you can watch the dumplings being made !! The Michelin-recommended l has officially opened its first Georgia location in Buford, and it's already drawing crowds. They're currently in their soft opening until August 2, so join the waitlist as soon as you arrive and expect a bit of a wait. Nan Xiang is famous for its incredible variety of handcrafted soup dumplings, and the Truffle Pork and Chicken Soup Dumplings definitely lived up to the hype. The Beef Noodle Soup was the standout dish of the meal, and they also have some great vegetarian appetizers. The Chicken Udon was decent but didn't quite stand out. To cool things down, don't skip the Passion Fruit Rosemary Iced Tea--it was light, refreshing, and the perfect pairing.

    Crispy Chinese Crueller
    Julyana T.

Original XLB - flavor of filling is great. Filled with soup as well. Skin is a tad thick and has more texture. Vinegar - weak & a bit watered down. Spicy beef tendon - so good! It has the kick and thickly sliced. Easily top 3 in GA. Crispy noodles - sauce is great but the crispy noodle not so much. The noodles are too compact prior to deep frying and therefore some parts of the noodles are simply undercooked and tough. Scallion pancake - yes to the crispiness but the scallion filling and flavor is lackluster. Crispy Chinese crueller - I've had better Soy milk drink - you can skip :) Great service. Food came out super fast. Interior is modern & inviting.

I completely understand that the restaurant has business hours, but it was only three minutes before opening. Also, it's summer and the sunlight is very bright, making it extremely difficult to tell whether the sign is lit or not. The three-minute wait wasn't the issue. What bothered me was the way the staff member spoke to us. It felt more like he was lecturing us than politely communicating with customers. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for us not to come back, and I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Overall- the food was delicious and we'll definitely be back for it…read more Something to keep in mind if you're visiting in the next few weeks: they're still new and the staff do seem to still be working out the kinks and getting the hang of things. There is a QR code on the side of the napkin holder that you're supposed to use to order, but we weren't told this so we sat for several minutes before a staff member came by and told us. Then, when I was almost done putting our order in through the QR code process, another staff member came by and asked to take our order. That was a little confusing. Judging by other reviews, it's clear we're not the only ones who hit this snag. However, the confusion could easily be avoided by having the host explain the QR ordering process upon seating guests - and this may be one of those kinks they're working on. There were a few small things like having to ask a few times for the same thing or waiting a bit to get drink refills, but they did seem a little short handed and busy when we were there. Everyone was friendly and the service waits didn't seem to be due to rudeness or laziness - people can only do so many things at one time. The restaurant itself is very cute - there is a boba tea bar where you can see your drinks being made and the menu is easy to understand with plenty of pictures for those who are still new to boba. All in all - the staff could have poured hot soup in my lap and not apologized and I'd still be back for the food. We eat a LOT of Asian food - and not the Americanized kind either. My husband often jokes that he's convinced there's a little old Asian woman trapped inside of me. Their soup dumplings are exponentially better than the ones from the new place that just opened inside the Mall of GA (those are hot garbage. Skip it); the bao was absolutely perfect, meat seasoned masterfully, I could have drank the dumpling sauce straight out of the dish. The soup dumplings (going back to those because I can't praise them enough) were just the right size to eat in one bite without choking (I don't know why this seems so difficult for other places, but it's filled with soup. If you have to bite or cut it in half, it loses the essence of it). I can't wait to go back because I want to try each variation they have! We also got the crispy chicken, pork dumplings with chili sauce, and shrimp sui mai - each one just absolutely delicious. Savory, spicy without being overwhelming, and such depth of flavor. The boba teas were very tasty as well.

Saw this place open up around Mall of GA from afar…read more I knew it was a mistake when pulling up the front door. Looking in, I couldn't tell if it was open or closed at 7PM, but fortunately/unfortunately, it was open for business, so we went in and risked it for the biscuit. Pretty sure the soup dumpling were store-bought and re-heated + the pork had a flavor of old meat. Somehow, the pork/crab soup dumpling didn't even have crab and yet tasted more pork-intense than the regular pork one in a bad way. The Pork/Chives pan fried dumpling was better since it was actually hand-made, but still had the old-meat tastes Also, $80 for 2 people in a cafeteria setting + a server who threw plates on the table and walked away immediately is a strange experience. 1/10 for the food, 0/10 for the service. Maybe I'm jaded.

The parking lot was a little confusing since it shares space with the sushi/hibachi restaurant next door, and it seems like they're connected somehow. Inside, the dim sum side was pretty empty with only a few filled tables, while the hibachi side looked much busier. The two restaurants are separated by a glass wall, so you can clearly see both sides. Right away, service was rough. There was no host or waiter around for over five minutes and we were honestly about to leave before someone finally came to seat us. They give you a paper menu to mark what you want, which was easy enough, but everything after that moved very slowly. Waters took forever, food came out sporadically, and it was obvious the dim sum side wasn't getting much attention. I understand it was a Saturday, but most of the focus seemed to be going toward the hibachi restaurant next door. Food-wise, it was OK for AYCE. The shumai was tasty, pork buns were probably one of my favorites, and the shrimp dumplings and rolls were a good size. The chicken lo mein was flavorful, sesame balls were good, and the spring rolls were decent. The Chinese broccoli tasted good too, but it came out cold. The biggest issue was the wait and lack of communication. After our first round, we waited a long time for our waiter to come back because he seemed to also be serving the other restaurant. We were still waiting on two dim sum dishes when he finally returned and asked if we were finished. When we mentioned we were still waiting, he casually told us they were out of those items. I just wish someone had told us that 20-25 minutes earlier instead of leaving us waiting the whole time. To be honest, we wanted to order a lot more food, but we knew we would be sitting there for another hour till we got it. Hence the lack of my pictures. Our waiter himself was friendly and smiley, and honestly I felt bad because it looked like he was trying to manage both sides. But overall the dim sum area felt completely neglected. The food was good enough that I wanted to like the place more, but the service and long waits really affected the experience. Sadly, I probably wouldn't come back.

But for the cost of providing endless items, quality dips for quantity and much like buffets, you don't get the best but in the case of this place, bottom tier for unlimited is literally what you pay for. WIth cash you pay $25, with card you pay $29 The interior is tiny compared to their next door neighbor. Seats about 70 people and it looks like it's just a tacked on extension of Volcano sushi/Hibachi. Now let's talk food. They give you a paper menu and you look at the items and you put a number on how many servings you want. Serving sizes vary like the Shumai gives 4 peices while the soup dumplings are 3 so if you put "2" down for the soup dumplings, you'll get 6 total dumplings. Some things are great, others are horrid. I decided on a few popular items. Everything is pork based save for the beef short ribs. The Hong Kong style meatball, the soup dumplings, the chive and pork, the wontons, the shumai; all pork based and some combined shrimp with it. I don't know what it is but there is a window where things are great piping hot and once it hits a cooling point, it just sucks. That being said, order one item at a time, eat it hot, and quick because cold pork/shrimp shumai just doesn't cut it. There was also the Chou Zhu or something that had a distasteful flavor and texture. The Hong Kong style meatball also had a very off putting flavor. Everything that was shrimp based left a bad taste in my mouth and things sat real heavy. The Tonkatsu ramen was delicious and the lo mein was extremely flavorful to be fair. I did like the soup dumplings but I wish they had more soup. It's definitely one to visit just once to get that all you can eat experience but that's it. Your best bet can be to find an a la carte dim sum place or play it all you can eat one at a time

The crab sticky fried rice had a super firm texture, and I especially loved the eggs in it. 9/10. The sesame balls with black sesame filling were easily the best sesame balls I've ever had. 9.8/10. The filling was perfectly balanced and not too sweet, the mochi was chewy, and the exterior was nice and crispy. The Peking duck was hitting as usual and is still one of the best I've had. The skin was super crispy while the meat stayed juicy. 9.5/10. The second course of the Peking duck had a chewy chow fun, although I thought it was lacking a little flavor. 8/10. The oysters were flavorful and fresh. 8/10. Service was fast, and I really like that they get the food ready whenever you tell them you're ready. Overall, definitely a spot I'd come back to!

The hot bar options were limited and the quantity that is put out is obvious they don't expect many customers. The service was actually a lot better than we were expecting (none). The young man explained to us how we can order being a large group and after delivering our food made sure we had everything we needed. The place is not huge and service was pretty slow even with only two other small groups in attendance. But it wasn't horrible and you can tell they do try to be accommodating. Sushi quality was okay. No one ended up sick or anything. Oysters were actually pretty and crab legs were not skimpy. There is a limit on how many orders of crab clusters you can order per person but with everything else included you won't leave hungry. Honestly won't be going back or consider it because the competition is real and so much better out there. Unless you can eat your worth in oysters maybe go for that. I don't think there's a limit and they're prettier than a typical buffet. I'd say even better than Gohan's.

They first attempted to give me part of my order to dine-in, even though I mentioned to-go. The person trying to hand me the partial order attempted to blame me for not mentioning to-go, then her co-worker who took the order stepped in and said it's to go. After some back and forth between the two of them, they went ahead and gave my partial order to someone else and had that order prepped to-go. Fine and dandy. What time do you think I finally got my order? Remember, it was placed at 4:00pm. Lo and behold, they call me up at 4:56pm. Not only that, they called me up to someone else's order. I know this because I chimed in and said it's been an hour. The order taker replied that it's only been a few minutes. I presented him the receipt. He reads it and says, "Oh." Then he tells the lady to switch the bags because mine wasn't the one they tried to hand me. No apology. No, "Thank you for your patience." Nothing whatsoever besides an, "Oh." Food is good. Seating and ambiance is in a torn down, desperately in need of remodeling, Chinese grocery store. So to your oh, I say hell no. Ain't worth the disrespect and certainly my time.

Out of all the food stalls in the food court, this one was the most popular when I went. It was pretty lively in the back corner, which is where this place is located. I thought the service was fine. The workers are there to get work done, not to perform outstanding customer service. I got the Crispy Pork on Rice! I love getting this meal at these Cantonese/Chinese places. I found the pork belly to be really tasty. There was a nice marinade over the skin and meat, plus the skin was pretty crispy even when some of the pieces got a little too moist inside the container. I thought there was a generous portion of the crispy pork in my meal. There were some mustard greens in the rice plate which added nice variation in taste. I also got a small cup of complementary soup on the side which I did not try but it did smell good. Overall, I think that my meal was pretty good. I would probably come back if I am ever inside the Great Wall Supermarket.
