Spacious bakery with comfortable booth seatings. Fast service, and lots of pastries. Egg tart, pineapple buns, cocktail buns, dry pork and green onions bun all good. There are drinks, teas, dim sum, and custom cakes. Will be back to try the dim sum next time!

This review is for the bakery section only, as there is also a dim sum section that we didn't try. My friend and I were starving that morning and needed something quick to grab on the go. You grab a tray and pick what you want. At the cash register they'll wrap everything. We were pleasantly surprised by how many baked good options were available. I picked a variety to sample, and everything was fresh and delicious especially the pork sung baked item, which was absolutely delish!

After having lunch a few doors down, my partner and I stopped by Hong Kong Bakery for dessert. We were impressed by the wide assortment of pastries, all reasonably priced. We didn't try their drinks or dim sum, but I really enjoyed the Hong Kong Egg Tart ($2.75) and the cream-filled donut. They both were flavorful. My partner also liked the Bacon and Cheese Bun, as well as the Ham, Cheese and Corn Bun (each were $2.95). When we visited, there wasn't any greeting or acknowledgment from staff, as they were chatting among themselves while ringing us up. That said, the pastries made up for it.

This is the new location to my childhood bakery. The original location was in Doraville and they recently just closed down, if they did not put signs that they are moving to Duluth I think I might've had a mental breakdown. I don't think you understand I grew up not on rice but on bread . My parents and I would buy at least 20 buns per visit. The new location is gorgeous. Everything looks brand new renovated modern deco. I don't recognize the new staff at all, I wonder where the original owners are. I'm not used to going to a Hong Kong bakery without the old grandma yelling at me. Of course it was always with love . There are actually more buns at this location than the original. However, I miss the sliced cakes they used to have in the original location. They changed it to these dessert mousse and little cute moose cakes, but I'm not really a fan of them. If you look at the video below the Bear mousse I don't think you would think it would be cheese flavor. That really harassed my flavor profile because I was expecting it to be strawberry. They do have a full traditional dim sum menu. I had already eaten next-door at friendship barbecue so I was a little full, but I wanted some bread. I'll try it next time. Now, if you know, Hong Kong's history it was colonized in 1841, by Britain. So there are actually some western and Portuguese influence. The original egg tarts are actually from Portugal and it made its way to Macau, when they colonized Macau. From there it made its way to Hong Kong. This bakery has both Hong Kong style tarts and Portuguese style egg tarts. My absolutely favorite bun is the cocktail bun, this is one of the few places that actually makes it right. The cocktail buns are also originally a Portuguese influence from Papo Secos, you can also find them in Brazilian bakeries . I am so partial to Hong Kong bakery's cocktail buns because I grew up eating them. This bakery is great because it has a sense of history to it. I'm really happy they didn't close down forever and they have this new location. I think they should keep both locations open honestly. It just has a sense of nostalgia going into a tiny little corner shop.

I have not tried the dim sum here. I'm a fan of the Portuguese and the original egg tarts here. The velvet cappuccino was good. Coffee prices have definitely gone up thanks to the tariffs. I use a app to claim a blind box of assorted buns end of shelf life discounted buns for a discounted price. They may not be the freshest, but are still pretty good. It's worth it to me and I would come all the time if it were closer to my house. In a sense, I feel like I'm rescuing food from the trash but I digress. I like that they have coffee drinks also instead of just bubble tea. Would I come here again? Yes. They participate in Too Good To Go and I'd like to try the dim sum one day.

Hong Kong Bakery & Dimsum is a Cantonese bakery and eatery that sells nostalgic food to me. They also sell drinks. I believe the original location in Doraville closed down. This new location has ample parking in a massive plaza (next to Canton House!). There is a good amount of seating inside for a bakery. Customers can order through the self-service kiosk or at the cash register (especially for the dim sum and drinks), but they do have a section where their baked goods are if you want to check them out in person before buying them. The service was pretty nice and chill. We got the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, Portuguese Egg Tart, and Taro Bun. I thought that the Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken was pretty tasty, but I think that it could have been fried better? The chicken was crispy, but the color on the outside was a bit pale. I LOVED the Taro Bun!!! This was one of my childhood dessert snacks that my parents would buy for the house. The bread was soft and the taro filling was amazing. My boyfriend also liked the Portuguese Egg Tart. I would give this place a 4.5/5 stars if I could! I would also come back to try their dim sum dishes and other foods as well.

Overall: tasty buns, unbeatable value, and a bakery I'll continue to return to. I've been here 7-8x and my favorite buns are the black sesame bun and the mini pineapple bun with egg yolk. Not a perfect 5/5, but they're soft and hit the spot every time. One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is the price. For what I'd normally spend at other bakeries in the area, I can walk out of here with 2-3x as many buns. Most everything is around 2-3 dollars. Most breads here can be described as soft and flavorful, not perfect but worth it for the price. This my go-to spot when I want to stock up without worrying about overspending. For me, the only downside for me is that the pastries are made with bleached flour, which gives me brain fog. One piece of bread isn't a big deal, but eating them several days in a row makes me notice the effects more. Drinks aren't what I come here for, so I've only tried two. The Berry Jasmine Tea is refreshing, containing mashed raspberries and a slice of lemon. Unique texture because of the raspberries, but I wouldn't order it again. The Yin Yang Brew tastes like fairly decent espresso, though when I ordered 50% sweetness, it wasn't sweet at all.

Relatively new bakery opened up in the same plaza as Gohan Buffet and Chubby Cattle BBQ called Hong Kong Bakery. If you were a fan of Master Bakery, you'll be thrilled to know that the talented baker is now working here. Hong Kong Bakery offers a wide variety of popular pastries, including the incredibly delicious coconut buns that were a highlight of Master Bakery. The service at Hong Kong Bakery is quick and efficient, and the seating area is clean and inviting. However, the bathrooms could use some renovations to improve their appearance. One of the main concerns about Hong Kong Bakery is the sewage smell that emanates from the entrance. I hope they can address this issue soon, as the pastries are truly exceptional and I believe the bakery has the potential to be a great success.

Can't speak for the dim sum as I've only come here for the bakery. Love that they have classic hong kong bakery items such as pineapple buns, hot dog buns, taro buns, egg tarts, etc. It is self serve - grab a tray and tongs, grab what you want, then bring it to the cashier to pay. Decent amount of seating if you wanna eat it there. This weekend I went back for a second time. I love how soft and fluffy the bread is, tastes like my childhood in California. I also like their egg tarts better than other bakeries I've tried in the ATL area. Almost 5 stars for me but the custard in the custard bun was a bit too firm for my preference and wished it was a bit looser. Regardless, definitely will return!

This cafe/bakery is located in the opposite GW supermarket. You'll find it when you find Best Buy. This lot has plenty of parking spots therefore no fear about parking. I think the right category to put this is cafe/bakery for breads and quick serve dim sum. The dim sum that we ordered were smaller sizes than the ones served at Canton House (next door). Here's what we ordered. 皮蛋粥 - It feels like porridge is cooked separately and 皮蛋 is added into a bowl of porridge when it's ordered. So to put it simply, it's 粥加皮蛋. And this bowl of porridge is saltier than what I'm used to. Chive dumpling I don't mind this, its skin is crispy. Their size is very uniformed and that tells me it's store bought and not made in-house. It tastes ok though. The filling is sufficient. 虾饺 They usually come in 4s, but today we got 5, not complaining. The size of each is delicate and uniformed, therefore again it feels like store bought. Taste? It's good. I didn't like the skin as it was mushy when it's supposed to be a little chewy. 烧卖 I'm not a fan but this was, in my opinion the best of the ones we ordered. The skin is as expected, the filling bouncy, some describe it as QQ. Taste was average, not salty. Again store bought. 叉烧包 I liked the skin, soft & fluffy but the filling was just fat. I love my fat but I didn't expect a 肥油叉烧包. After lunch, I perused the offerings of baked breads. Most items were $2.75 each, not terribly expensive. Took it home for tea break. Here's my verdict. It's good for day-of, the next day, bread tended to be a little dry. So, the verdict. If you're in a hurry and have no time for a sit down full blown dim sum or just want a quick snack, and you're not fussy about quality, then this is your place.

My first time. I love bread and I love dumplings. This is the perfect place to get the both. The service was good. The ambience is casual and modern. I love the shrimp dumplings and chicken feet. The chicken feet were so soft. And the variety of breads and cakes were fine. I hope they got more chocolate. They also have drinks.

Metro Atlanta has their newest Hong Kong style dim sum and bakery Currently done with soft opening, this much anticipated fast casual style, dim sum cafe and bakery is FINALLY open to the public. This bright and shiny new sweet spot featuring classic Hong Kong favorites as well as some new innovations. Brought to you by the same owners as our beloved Hong Kong Bakery in Doraville that has been serving the Atlanta community on Buford Highway since 1986. This location has the same authenticity, quality, and warmth in a new exciting cafe style shop. Reminds me of a new york style HK breakfast shop or cha chan tang 茶餐廳 . Grand Opening Hong Kong Dim Sum Cafe 点心 2255 Pleasant Hill Rd Suite 205 Duluth, GA 30096 My favorites: 1 腸粉 炸兩 / 炸两 Rice Noodle with Crueller 2 鲜虾肠粉 Cheung Fun with Shrimp 3 蝦子燒賣 Shrimp Shumai 4 雲吞麵 Hong Kong Wonton Noodle Soup 5 点心蒸牛肉球 Beef Meatballs 6 港式蛋挞 Egg Tart 7 Fruit Fiesta Tea Still need to try their Hong Kong Milk Tea, curry fish balls, and croissants.

Got the polo bao with BBQ pork inside and it tasted similar to the one I got in Guangzhou and I've been looking for this everywhere. Only issue is it's not crispy outside and the inside isn't sweet enough. Egg tart was fine. Big selection of baked goods. There wasn't much service except checking out and it was fine. Ambiance was ok, 6/10.

There are some differences to how menu items are made/taste from when I first had it, so I feel as though the chef has most likely changed. It's both good and bad because the menu items with taro aren't quite as nice as before, but other things are either the same or better like the Beef Ho Fun for example. The chicken feet have changed too, but both were good. All the classic items are still basically the same. I liked the pan fried chives dumplings and beef cheung fun here. I can't speak for dinner or how it is on the weekdays, but it's quite busy over the weekends, which is expected for dim sum. Want to start off by saying that we had such great service here- our waitress answered all our questions and was very attentive. Ambiance is good as well. Lots of parking available. We got a couple of things: - Pan fried pork buns: The bun was nice & fluffy with a crispy bottom and juicy meat filling. The sauce it came with was great too- perfectly sweet & vinegary. - Dry beef mixed noodles: The beef was super tender, and the noodles were flavorful. This is meant to be a cold dish, but my mom was a bit hesitant about that and they were more than willing to serve it hot! (I definitely recommend having it cold though haha) - Szechuan Numbed Pepper Broth: Got this with fatty beef. I know some similar places let you put the fillings into the broth yourself, but ours came already assembled (which is what I personally prefer). We loved how mala this broth is, probs my favorite dish we got. Also loved the texture and lightness of the rice noodles. Lots of great fillings like quail egg, spam, wood ear mushroom, cabbage. - Korean Kimchi Broth: Got this with pork chop (though actually it was pork ribs). This is a great choice if you want a tomato-y broth that has a hint of spice and acidity. Another instance of the great service because the pork ribs were kind of hard to eat with our utensils and when we asked if they could possibly cut it up, they did not hesitate to do so. Also, the pork was (again) so tender! Would, no doubt, come back for another meal here. 10/10 would recommend!

Not sure I'd return, mostly because i felt like i was inconveniencing the staff but glad we tried it. The inside is actually really pretty and you can tell they put thought and effort into it. I loved the wallpapers!

If you enjoy authentic Sichuan cuisine, this place delivers bold flavors, generous portions, and dishes that taste like they were made for people who appreciate real Chinese cooking. On our visit, we ordered the Fish Fillet & Beef In Hot Spicy Sauce with SoyBean Sprouts & Sichuan Pepper, Boiled Fish Fillet in Soy Sauce, Mouth-Watering Chicken in Cold Spicy Sauce W/Ground Peanuts, Pork Belly Slices W/ Preserved Vegetables and Spicy Noodles with Ground Pork and Peanuts, along with rice to soak up every last bit of sauce. The Spicy Boiled Fish and Beef was the star of the meal. The large bowl arrived covered with fragrant chili oil, dried chilies, and Sichuan spices. The fish and beef were incredibly tender and silky, while the broth delivered layers of heat, aroma, and numbing spice without overwhelming the flavor of the fish. Every bite was rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. In contrast, the Boiled Fish Fillet in Soy Sauce showcased the kitchen's finesse with more delicate flavors. The fish was exceptionally fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked, served in a light soy-based sauce with scallions and greens. It allowed the natural sweetness of the fish to shine and provided a wonderful balance to the spicier dishes on the table. The Chicken in Cold Spicy Sauce with Ground Peanuts was another standout. The chicken was moist and tender, dressed with fragrant chili oil, garlic, cilantro, and crunchy toppings that added texture and freshness. It was refreshing yet packed with flavor and made for an excellent appetizer. We enjoyed it with steamed rice. The Braised Pork Belly was beautifully prepared, with alternating layers of meat and fat that practically melted in your mouth. The rich soy-based braising sauce was savory with a touch of sweetness, making it the perfect companion to a bowl of steamed rice. The Spicy Noodles with Ground Pork and Peanuts were simple but incredibly addictive. The chewy noodles, savory minced pork, roasted peanuts, and fresh greens created a perfect combination of textures and flavors. Once mixed together, every bite delivered a satisfying balance of richness, crunch, and subtle heat. What impressed me most about Humble House was the authenticity of the food. The flavors are bold and unapologetically traditional, the portions are generous, and each dish feels thoughtfully prepared. The setting is casual since it's located inside the supermarket food court. If you're looking for authentic Sichuan and Chinese comfort food in Duluth, Humble House is absolutely worth a visit. Whether you're craving fiery boiled fish, comforting braised dishes, flavorful cold appetizers, or satisfying noodle bowls, this spot delivers. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

I've had their green beans (must-get), their dry pot, their stir-fried intestines, and eggplant fish clay pot. All of which there were no complaints and only exclaims at how yummy the food was! I don't have any pictures because my friends and I literally shovel the food into our mouths every time. Everything is seasoned and flavored well and pretty good portion size. They also make everything super fast so you usually won't have to wait more than 10 mins for your order to be ready. All that to say, come try their food and you will not he disappointed! Pro-tip: Ask for their chili oil which they make in-house. Otherwise, I also like grabbing some chili oil from Ping's Place right next door.

Happy Valley Dim Sum & Cantonese Cuisine in Norcross, GA…read more Happy Valley has been around for about 30 years. This was actually my first time visiting their new location. My family has always been a fan of Happy Valley. Har Gow 9.5/10 Translucent skin with a full shrimp inside. The texture and flavor are very close to what I've had in Guangdong. Hong Kong Style Egg Tart 9/10 Best when they come out fresh. Flaky buttery crust with smooth egg custard and a golden top. Feng Zao (Chicken Feet) 8.5/10 Good color and the skin has the classic wrinkled texture from braising. The flavor is savory with a slight sweetness, though a little lighter than expected. Beef Tripe 8.5/10 Tender with a slight chew and absorbs the sauce well. The radish underneath was really good. Beef Rice Roll 7.5/10 The flavor is good, but the presentation is not very Cantonese style. The rice roll is slightly thick but has a nice rice fragrance. The soy sauce they use is not very authentic. I used to eat rice rolls almost every day for breakfast when I was in school in Guangzhou, so I am very picky about rice rolls. Pork Siumai 8.5/10 Pretty classic dim sum. Clams 7.8/10 The clams themselves are fresh and well cleaned. Do not be afraid to ask them to reheat if it comes out cold. However, the sauce was a bit too heavy for me.

For the price and the area, the food quality just wasn't there, especially compared to other dim sum spots we've tried across the US and Vancouver. Food quality Most of the dim sum we ordered came out cold, and some items seemed like they were reheated (microwave style) to warm them up. That made the outer texture thicker and less pleasant. Even the fried items were disappointing: the outside was soggy, not crisp. I especially had high hopes for fried items like fried taro and fried eggplant, but both were below par. Best item we tried The one standout was the Hong Kong style seafood chow mein with a clear sauce. That dish was genuinely good. Everything else ranged from "okay" to forgettable. Value I don't remember the exact total, but for a similar spend, I strongly feel you could get better dim sum elsewhere. It didn't feel worth the money. Service Service was fine. They were willing to heat items when we asked, which I appreciated, but it also highlighted the bigger issue: dim sum should arrive hot and properly cooked in the first place. Atmosphere The atmosphere was actually nice. It was pretty clean, and on Sunday there were carts, which could have been fun. But because many items were cold and not great, we ended up ordering instead of relying on the carts. Would I return? No. The space is pleasant, but the food and overall execution just don't justify the price.
