I've been a longtime Nan Xiang customer, and I'm really impressed with their brand-new online ordering and rewards system. The new platform is much faster, easier to use, and more convenient than before. Ordering directly through their website is seamless, and I love that every purchase earns reward points that can be redeemed for future visits. The new membership program also offers exclusive promotions and special perks that make dining here even more enjoyable. Most importantly, ordering direct means the order goes straight to the restaurant, helping ensure accuracy and supporting the business without third-party app fees. The food is always excellent, especially the Signature Pork Soup Dumplings and Black Truffle Soup Dumplings. If you're ordering from Stamford, definitely try the new online ordering system and join the rewards program--you'll be glad you did! More points, more rewards!

Kiara was our waitress and she was very helpful and polite. The food was excellent. I tried chicken soup dumplings for the first time and I really enjoyed them! The chicken spring rolls were delicious, too. I had the chicken fried udon with extra vegetables for my entree, and it was so good. I had leftovers and those were even better the second day. The restaurant feels spacious, and it has a lovely atmosphere without being pretentious. I wanted to return the next day! Five stars.

I was excited to try this place given all the rave reviews, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. We started with the pork soup dumplings and steamed chicken dumplings. The options were fairly basic and tasted fresh, though I'm starting to think maybe I'm just not a 'dumpling guy!' The crispy chicken noodles, however, were below par. We tried a few bites but ended up leaving the rest of the dish untouched. If this is what authentic Chinese is supposed to taste like, I think I'll stick to the fusion spots I usually prefer. The ambiance and service were decent--nothing standout, but nothing to complain about either. Overall, I probably won't be back.

Came in for lunch. Overall the service was fine. Really no complaints. It is a modern looking restaurant and comfortable. They have a dining and bar area. I ordered the Shanghai siomai and original soup dumplings. They weren't that great. Overall taste was a bit boring. Sorry, a very honest opinion

My wife and I have been coming here almost every day since the soft opening, and the food, service, and ambiance have stayed consistently great. Like any new business, they've had to iron out some logistical growing pains--specifically handling the rush during peak hours--but they're hitting their stride. The space itself is clean, modern, and well-lit with an open dining area and a full-service bar where you can watch the kitchen in action. Plus, parking is a breeze since it's in the Stamford Town Center; it's a massive relief not having to hunt for a spot like you would in Flushing. The outdoor dining area is probably our favorite part of Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao. It's perfect because we can bring our fur babies along. This past weekend, we grabbed a spot outside with a group of friends and four pups. The manager and staff were so welcoming to the dogs and even moved two tables together to accommodate our big group. Now, for the food--honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but here are the standouts: * Pan Fried Pork Buns: These are juicy, aromatic, and packed with flavor. * Braised Beef Noodle Soup: This is a must-try. The beef literally melts in your mouth, and the broth is packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. * Sautéed String Beans with Garlic: This is our favorite vegetable dish, though the stir-fried bok choy is also great. The soup dumplings, crispy noodles, and scallion pancakes with beef are all solid choices too. Pro tip: use the mobile app for takeout to earn rewards you can redeem when you dine in. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to Stamford. We'll definitely be back (probably tomorrow).

Stopped by Nan Xiang on a road trip. They have outdoor dining! But the outdoor area was closed. Ordered the soup dumplings, the salty soybean pudding, fried dough and stir fried rice cakes with pork. Everything was really good! Except the salty soybean pudding, which I didn't like very much, but boyfriend liked a lot. I would order the salty soybean milk next time instead.

Yummy!!! Great service, everyone's super friendly and everything came out so quickly. Very spacious and they decorate for holidays, we went around Chinese New Year and it felt so festive :) Love Nan Xiang, they never disappoint for easy homey Chinese food. Always must get soup dumplings, always get the crab and pork but also tried the variety platter and the other flavors were really nice too. The green beans and stir fry noodles are staples and always hit the spot. The wonton soup was also so yummy and cozy. They do everything so well!

Some of the best food I've had in such a long time!! We came in on a Sunday around 7:30PM and were seated immediately. The restaurant is large with tons of space, making it feel very comfortable yet intimate at the same time. We ordered the Nan Xiang soup dumplings, scallion pancake with beef, beef noodle soup, and green beans. Everything was amazing!! The soup dumplings were some of the largest and juiciest dumplings I've ever had. The green beans and scallion pancake with beef were also delicious but don't stand out from other places. The beef noodle soup was also very yummy! The broth was delicious and was exactly what we had been craving, but the noodles were a little off; they were very flour-y yet al dente at the same time, giving us a mixed feeling. Would highly recommend coming here for some good eats, and will definitely be making another visit back!

I didn't know this chain existed, but it seemed to be everywhere so we decided to try it! It was really clean and well-designed inside. Very spacious and nice. Service was fairly quick and attentive. The pork & crab xiao long baos were good but not anything better than I've had. They were much bigger than I'm used to with a thicker skin. Overall, flavor was good, but again nothing special. I also got the fish and pickled veggie noodles. They were a bit disappointing (not much flavor and presentation was a little sad even though it should be a very vibrant, flavorful dish)! Overall, a decent more formal Chinese chain restaurant.

I have been searching for a hot and sour soup to rival Lee How Fook in Philadelphia (Cantonese and excellent) for 25 years. Walking into Nan Xiang is a callback to busy soup dumpling places from Hong Kong. Despite being located in the Stamford Mall adjacent, Nan Xiang is testament to the Michelin recommendation. The scallion pancakes are light and perfectly cooked. The crispy chili chicken is reminiscent of chicken with chili dishes from Beijing without quite as much chili. The hot and sour soup is absolutely incredible for $5.95 and plenty for four people as an appetizer. Seven was an excellent server being both friendly and genuine. The food came quickly. I was impressed by the numbers of service support staff and the efficiency. Not only will I be going back but am already effusively promoting Nan Xiang to whomever will listen. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday a special one. (She is quiet and did not want the attention of being sung to, but reveled in the experience anyway.)

Came here for first time on my bday and it was wonderful. Our waiter Matthew was so sweet and funny and made the experience great! We tried the KaoFu cold all (amazing) and the scallion noodle dish to start (also SO good) and the the veggie dumplings and chicken dumplings for our meal. The apps were SO GOOD- cravable and delicious! Veggie dumplings were good- wish a diff variety of veggies but still good. The chicken dumplings that my friend had were THE BEST soup dumplings she ever had- and she's tried all of them, from Chef Jiang up in Farmington to Costco and Trader Joe's etc. (she likes the trader Joe ones next best fyi) The waiter found out it was my bday and gave us dessert on the house- it's served by that robot thing and it even sings happy bday haha it was very special and a great meal. Cannot wait to go back and try more!

Immediately upon sitting down we saw that the prices were insane for what the menu items actually were. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer, which was $18 for 4 shrimp. It was very good, but worth it...? I don't know. The sweet potato croquettes had a great texture on the interior and exterior, but absolutely no flavor inside. The dim sum was delicious, but also overpriced for just 4 small soup dumplings. I ordered the stir-fried udon, and the noodles themselves were delicious, but the chicken was tough/overcooked and also had no flavor. The organic grilled chicken was a bit burnt on the outside and too salty. It was a $32 plate for just chicken and a few veggies-- it didn't even come with white rice or anything. For this price point, I'd expect that I'm paying for at least great service. But our waiter left us alone and only checked on us maybe twice the whole time? We were waiting about 15 minutes just to get the check because he'd completely disappeared. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and we were one of just two tables in the section, so I'm not sure why he left us alone for so long. Eventually, two other employees checked us out and packed our food after waiting that long. Overall, it was pretty disappointing and we left wishing we'd just gone somewhere else. I've gone to Japanese restaurants and had the same amount of food (if not more) for better quality, better service, and better price.
