Noodle menu

Hunan is a favorite in my family. When you go in person all of the staff is super sweet and accommodating. Their food is delicious, and I really like trying different combinations of their noodle bar menu. If you order noodles with pork it comes with out of this world ribs. Lo mien is great and sushi rolls are good too. They have great lunch specials. The inside is pretty nice and it's located in the center of town. I honestly prefer eating at the restaurant than take out.

Second to None even including NYC. The People here became our friends and their menu is our normal daily meal when in Ridgefield. You will be seated promptly, get your drinks immediately, then you can choose your "Heaven" meal. They don't rush you. Food comes out also immediately, if you are hungry or in a hurry, this is the place. Parking is easy. The menu is well put together. We always get the crunchy spicy tuna roll, egg drop soup wonton combo, chicken fried rice and a sushi plate. We are always happy right after. For us, there is no better place then this between NYC and Florida.

This is the Chirashi. $20. Not worth it.

Hit or miss w this place. The rolls are done well. The lunch special is the least expensive around this area, and it is pretty decent. I like the rolls here better than Mannen. The chirashi is subpar. If you want good chirashi the one at Tzen in Cross River serves the best in the area. The noodle soup is good. Not authentic in how it is prepared, but it tastes good. If you "take out" soup, it seems less than what you get when you eat it at the restaurant. I come back. Mostly because it's convenient. I just get the rolls though (lunch special is $14.50 for three rolls + soup or salad -- can't beat that). The fish is generous, and the rice isn't too thick.

Chirashi (Dinner, I believe. But the lunch is great, too! FYI the seasoned rice is in a little bowl section under the fish.)

Hunan Noodle Bar has become a frequent lunch spot for me over the past year. They offer such a wide variety of delicious Asian cuisine. Whether I'm in the mood for the Chirashi lunch or something from the kitchen, I know that I am in for some delicious food served up by friendly and kind people. The Hot and Sour Soup is out of this world, as is the Egg Drop, and soup is included with the lunch specials. Really, you will not be disappointed by this wonderful little spot in the heart of Ridgefield.

Ramen bowl with shrimp

I wanted to like this place. I really did. My daughter and I had some of the most amazing ramen in PA last month, and we were hoping that we found a place that was just as good. Or close. This was not that place. She chose pork for her protein, which apparently means ribs, with bones. Not sure how you're supposed to eat that with a spoon and/or chopsticks, but it wasn't happening. The broth that she had was "recommended" to have with pork (on the menu). Neither of us could identify the flavor, but we didn't like it. I had shrimp in the vegetable miso broth. Again, no identifiable flavor. It was better than the pork, but not by much. I ate the some of the shrimp and veggies; neither of us came close to finishing. Not a satisfying meal in the least. It was very crowded and the service was very slow, but there was an event in Ridgefield, so I won't hold that against them. I'd imagine the service is better on a regular night. The sushi that others ordered looked really good. If we ever go back, we will definitely try that instead, and we will keep looking for a decent bowl of ramen in the area.

Honestly Ridgefield needs a good Noodle place, I have never been this disappoint going to noodle bar . We eat noodle all the time and it is part of my culture, we understand we are not in Singapore, China or in east Asia but still it is Noodle place. We paid but sent these food in the pictures back to kitchen and suggested them. Server an old lady not understanding the question. Waited 20 mnts for hot tea to come out. Never again my bad luck to stop by here . Good luck , Remember bad food bad mood .

Stopped by for a late lunch…read more Open floor. No one was there seated, but it was around 2pm on a Friday. We were led to a table against the wall. Waiter was friendly and gave us some time to make our selections. I chose the egg roll, tangerine beef. Hubby chose the orange chicken. I asked the waiter if the soda came in a can. He said yes. We then waited for our meal. He returned quickly with my soda, in a glass with lots of ice. Not what I expected. But I guess I wasn't specific about my drink order. My egg roll was good. Cut decoratively in half at an angle, piping hot. Our food arrived shortly. Both plates were generous and came with white rice. Cut a portion in small pieces to taste with rice. Tasted so good, burned my tongue a little it was so hot. Ate a bit more, and that's when my mouth started burning up! The dish was a little more spicy than I expected. Tried to eat more, but it was too much for me. My hubby on the other hand was in his glory. He Loves heat. The spiciest the better. He tried mine and said it was just as spicy as his, which he loved. So, I just thought we would take mine home for him to enjoy later. I have to say it was good, before I had to cry uncle. So would definitely have to return for another try and let them know I can't take the spiciness. I did notice that the restaurant was busy with takeout orders. So I guess that's their main business. So I wouldn't say this was a cozy place. But the food is good. Lots of parking outside since they're next to a supermarket and liquor store. There weren't any 'lunch' specials, so this was over $50 with tip. By the way, lots to choose from the menu. I only took pictures of some pages.

We try to go to the Chinese New Year every year and picked this spot based on the 4.7 stars and…read moredescription of "cozy spot" in the restaurant write up. I got the Pho with duck, and my wife got the crispy duck dinner. Both dishes were "meh" at best. Below average. As far as service... it was harried and we were only one of two couples eating in this "NOT so cozy" restaurant. We went at 5:30 expecting to wait because it was small and "cozy" and it was Chinese New year. (1) no problem eating in during dinner hours (2) not a stitch of celebratory anything for Chinese New Year.. not even a place mat. No chinese noodles at the table and there was one continuous plain bench and brown tables (no table cloths) on the opposite side aka cafe style and cafeteria style seats. Hardly "cozy" at all. Overall high expectations, below average experience, ambiance and food.

Hands down one of my fav. Kawa Ni in Westport. I recently went there for late lunch. Its the kind…read moreof atmosphere that feels trendy without trying too hard. Ive been there for dinner time as well, it's lively, loud in a good way, and immediately feels like somewhere you could stay for hours. I ordered the miso ramen, and it was honestly one of the most satisfying bowls of ramen I've had in Connecticut. The broth was the star of the dish its deep, rich, savory, and layered with that perfect balance of umami and subtle sweetness from the miso and a bit nitty form the sesame seeds. The noodles had the perfect texture: chewy, springy, and able to hold onto the broth beautifully. Nothing was overcooked or mushy . What impressed me most was how balanced the ramen was. Some ramen spots go overboard with salt or spice, but this bowl felt refined. Rich but not greasy. Flavorful but not overpowering. You could tell there was actual technique behind it. The portion size was also generous enough to leave completely full without feeling uncomfortable afterward. The service matched the food perfectly and so freaking sweet. I have trying to rec this all my coworkers

Ok, where do I even start with this spot!? Highly recommend…read moremaking a reservation because they book up fast. Like one of Westport's hottest restaurants right now! The decor is a lovely authentic izakaya with the wood paneling and everything. It's a beautiful homage to Japanese culture. Ok now menu. Lunch there is great but recommend going for the dinner menu over anything to have more options! The addictive cabbage is just as it says, addicting. It's acidic, savory and has the perfect crunch to it. The crab Rangoons are sooo good. They give you plenty of sauce and you can tell it's the good crab. The cold sesame noodles are perfect! A little bit of heat, a bunch of flavor. I'm drooling just thinking about it! The chili dumplings were good but a little too spicy for me! We also really enjoyed the kimchi carbonara and personally, I'm a sucker for udon noodles! And now the star of the show for me and something I've ordered three times now! The crab fried rice! The crab is so tender and buttery, like it actually melts in your mouth. And the pork belly chunks in it, also tender and delicious. I like dream of this dish every week! And the great thing is you can order the half size during dinner so you can try other things too! This spot is in my top 5 for 2026 so far! Please go try them asap!
