The fresh cream bun was added at this time. If you wanted Taro or Custard filled buns or Egg Tarts, there were none on the shelves. There was a posted board outside the bakery offering "buy 6, no tax and receive one egg tart". I bought six buns and received a small HK milk tea, which was fine instead of an egg tart. The buns filling and dough texture was so-so imo, when I compare it to buns available at Markham Chinese bakeries. However, it filled our need while we lined up at another store on the day.

But they also have specialty buns like fried chicken sandwiches, garlic cheese sausage buns and more. Buns are fairly priced here as well in my opinion with fried chicken sandwiches being less than $4. They also sell whole cakes and slices of cakes which looks really good. Interior of the bakery is beautiful and newly renovated. It's brightly lit and super clean inside. The one cashier cashing me out was friendly and chatty which I enjoyed. She also picked up a small strawberry cheesecake. I did not go into the store, so I cannot speak about that. The cookies were a hit with the kids and the cheesecake was yummy. It was not too sweet and had just the right amount of tang. Fairly light, but still very flavorful. Pricing I thought was a little on the pricey side. It was. $103 for the small cake and 7 cookies. Well, for some reason my family had asked for HALF sugar for a CAKE. They obliged. Surprisingly it wasn't bad. The inside flavour had a layer of chestnut mousse which was also quite alright. The appearance was a little wilted. When it was being picked up, we were told that any jostling would probably dislodge the fruit topping because it was so fresh and didn't have a time to set. We didn't really get this cake to impress the eyes, just the mouth so it wasn't a huge deal.

They were rich in cheese flavour, each bite melted in my mouth, and they had the best buttery crust holding everything together. I recently indulged in a bunch of buns and flaky pastries, from a curry beef roll, to a BBQ pork bun. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. Everything was fresh and flavourful. This place didn't skimp on filling. I learned that you can get a VIP card that gets you 10% your purchase. This card is $10 on its own. You can get it for free when you buy at least $30 worth of goods. I managed to hit the latter by getting a container for pecan shortbread that was divine. These round shortbread were also a hit at work. Staff here are always helpful. I may need to order a cake from this place. They looked so good, especially the ones with fruit on top.
