Great price at only around $3 each! Perfect with a cup of tea for an afternoon snack.

(Should have checked on yelp first as several others mentioned this in the past.) It's a small bakery, with wear and tear showing its age, but still had a number of offerings. We got six buns (not pictured) including red bean pineapple bun, pork bun, luncheon meat with egg buns, curry beef bun, and hotdog bun. We also got two cakes, chocolate and red bean&white chocolate cake. Total came to under $30. When we got in (around 2:45pm), the lady was on lunch break on the phone. We were already waiting up at the cash, trying to tell her our cake order but she was still on the phone for a while longer. She bagged the buns while on the phone. The cakes were not bad, the chocolate cake being a bit too dark for my daughter's liking. We enjoyed the lighter red bean and white chocolate cake. She did tape the cakes down in the box but they still ended up rolling around anyway, I guess from our drive/handling.

So, having noticed it because I was parked in that messy parking lot I walked in out of curiosity and found a mid-sized shop with a few dried goods, dry cookies, a few cakes and multiple kinds of pastry. There is one perfunctory table by the door - even though they have the space for a few tables they do not take advantage of this option presumably because of a by-law or perhaps a lack of beverage options - and the fridges with their sweets in them. There were no customers when I entered. They had a few items I did not recognize, but I believe all the cookies and pastries are Iranian, which of course are occasionally twists on Western pastries. I picked up three items comprised of flaky pastry and cream puffs and liked all of them. They were fresh and delicious. They are neither out of this world in taste nor the biggest pastries around, but they were tasty and, for the smaller size, less expensive than elsewhere. I am interested in going back, but would suggest they add a few cards or explanations to their trays or fridge glass as just by looking at their offerings it was not possible to be certain what each item is.

I love going to Ana's pastry at the end of a long day for a quick pick-me-up. Their prices can't be beat, their sweets are freshly made every morning, and the sweetness level isn't overbearing -- they taste incredibly light and airy as a result. One of my favourite items is their شیرینی یزدی which is their Yazdi cupcakes -- a rosewater and cardamom cupcake with pistachio shavings on top as decoration. Ana's pastry also makes delicious custom cakes which you can order by calling in advance. I'm a big fan and I know I'll be back for more!

The regular tiramisu has a strong and balanced coffee flavour. The black sesame cake has a great texture and strong black sesame flavour. I enjoy vanilla addition too. The mango cheesecake is really smooth and a real mango flavour (no artificial flavour). It's been popular when I bring cakes to gatherings , but I also enjoy popping by to grab a slice. They have 50% off older slices which is a steal if you visit on the right day. Haven't tried their cafe food or drinks but they do have a nice ambiance and seating.

The store was very quiet when I arrived, one other customer browsing the display. There are some seats there and the store front is very spacious and clean. I had a very tough time deciding what to pick up as everything looked amazing and fresh. I finally decided on the apple tart ($18), napoleon ($3), raspberry napoleon ($3.5), tiramisu ($4) and raspberry mousse ($4). The only item I tried was the apple tart as the rest were given t ofriends and family. The apple tart was perfectly light and the apples were very fresh. The place was empty when I looked through the windows, but my Yelp friend just dragged me in. I do have to thanks him for that. All I have to say their pastries is amazing! And so good in value! They all looked so good in the display so it took us a little while to decide what to get. Raspberry Napoleon ($3.50) tasted delish and huge! Chocolate waffles ($2.50) so rich! Americano and Cappuccino for $1.50 each?! Who needs to go to Tim Hortons just across the street?! Now I need to come back to try out other home made pastries and desserts! Danish? Apple Tarts? or More Napoleon!!
