My fiance and I went here to get some baked goods for the upcoming Christmas party that I had a couple of weeks back. In addition a birthday cake for my daughter who turned 30. We pulled in and it appeared dead. No cars or customers. The day we went was a normal work day. It was open. We walked in and no one was behind the counter. And in the counters were no displays of their baked items. I checked the closing time thinking that they were cleaning up for the day earlier but it was to be open for another couple of hours. The gentleman on the phone was so helpful and gave me a couple of fantastic ideas. When I picked them up I was extremely impressed with how beautiful it was. If I could give Nana's 10 stars, I would in a second! I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that this place is available! We were visiting for my mother-in-law's birthday and I needed a birthday cake for her the next day. I asked at the facility where she lives if there was a good bakery here in town and it was unanimous! Now I understand why. I called about 3p and special ordered a two layer chocolate chocolate cake with strawberry filling and butterflies on top. I had no idea what I would end up with. I asked if I could pick it up by 11a the next morning. "Sure!", she said. I actually showed up 30 mins early and there it was-the most adorable cake I've seen! Little silk butterflies floating above the cake - it was so much more than I could've imagined! They had quite a business of seated tables at 10:30a on a Thursday, I was impressed and definitely want to return for a leisurely lunch, coffee or just to grab a cupcake (or a dozen!) on the go. GLUTEN FREE & VEGAN - Sometimes they have these on stock but they are either gluten-free OR vegan. I called in and ordered some only 2 DAYS before my birthday and they were able to get them made on time. I got 6 vanilla & 6 chocolate with buttercream frosting. As someone with quite a few food allergies, I'm always nervous eating out because of cross-contamination, and NO ISSUES! My cupcakes were delicious, the cake and frosting are both great. I'm so happy I found somewhere in town that has vegan & gluten-free options together, because you can usually only find one or the other. We love Nana's!! We have ordered so many cakes from here, bridal shower, wedding, birthdays, Easter, Christmas...and cookies and cupcakes in between! It is by far the best in the area, and you'd be hard pressed to find a better tasting cake outside of it. The buttercream is super sweet, but for me it's divine (this is the only thing my husband isn't thrilled about). Every single cake I have ever gotten from here is a 10! They do an amazing job decorating and their buttercream frosting is amazing.

This place has changed, I have ordered many beautiful cakes from them and always turned out better than the picture I provided. I ordered a baby shower cake and provided them with the picture asked for the colors to be the same and asked if they could do it since it was a bit complicated. They reassured me they could and charged me 136$ for it. I didn't mind paying for it since it was essentially two cakes in one. A sheet cake and a smash cake to sit on top. When I went to pick up the cake it was not finished yet, stated they were short staffed and I waited for it. When it came out I was appalled. They offered to fix it and to come back in a half an hour. I didn't have time it was late already. Honestly the only way to fix it would be to trash it and start over. All I could think of was the show Nailed it. They offered to give me 10% off. And agreed that the flowers were not correct. I will not go back, and urge you to look into other venues. This is not the Nanas I have ordered from before. I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how to! The people at my baby shower thought it was joke, as I intended for it look like a child made it. read more

What a find, can't say enough about this bakery. My family was in town visiting relatives and we needed a birthday cake for my Mom. We picked this bakery randomly and placed the order at 8am, we gave no details or special requests just her name and asked that it look nice. it was ready by 10:30. Everyone (my Mom included) was blown away by what we picked up. It was incredibly detailed with flowers and amazing decorations all piped by hand. I'm not sure what the other bakeries do but in terms of flavor I have never liked a store bought bakery cake EVER. This was like no other, light and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness and frosting. Everyone loved it. I found this place thanks to Yelp reviews and it is a hidden treasure. I wish I had known about earlier in the years this business has been around. I bought an assortment of cupcakes. They were fresh, light and delicious, in a variety of flavors that appealed to the mixed group of adults and children I served them to. I saw someone else there buying Easter treats and the decorated cookies were just beautiful. I also tried their brownie sampler, with small bites of brownies and magic bars. The prices are reasonable and the products delicious, attractive, and evidently made with care. Service was also very friendly. A gem in Bradley. read more
