This is my go to spot for lunch on the rare occasions when I do need lunch. It's just quick, convenient, and price isn't so bad for a combo. The price for 2 entrees is $14.25 plus tax. I love that they open at 10 am because I do take my lunch around that time and I love how fast they are. Obviously express food is fast, but they do get you in and out quickly. I came today at 10:15 ish and was out in a few minutes. I always get their spicy pork (sisig) and bbq pork with rice. I just love the flavor for both. Its pretty small inside but they do provide tables for you to sit inside, if you don't mind people lining up next to you to order food. If you do, there's plenty of tables right outside. The folks there are always nice every time I've gone.

Bbq pork skewers and salt n pepper chicken wings are delicious

Stopped in for lunch today. This was my first visit in a while. I wanted some salt n pepper chicken wings so where else would I go! Had those and a pork skewer on white rice. Food was really good as always. Service is great and restaurant is small but comfortable. Plenty of seating just out front in the courtyard. This is a miserable parking lot though.

Ordered the 2 item plate. Tried the bbq chicken and bbq pork. Both were fairly juicy and the sauce they use has a nice flavor. I thought the pork was slightly better. Overall it tasted similar to a good teriyaki place. Solid spot but wouldn't go out of my way.

Pork/ chicken barbecue with rice/ pansit

Ordered chicken/ pork barbecue combo with rice/ pansit. Meat was juicy, flavorful and tender. Great service. Inside is small but lots of space outside the shared courtyard. Highly recommend this place.

Spicy pork & curry chicken. I always ask for some curry sauce over my rice. So good!

Nanay's is definitely in my top 5 favorite lunch spots in all of San Diego. The food is so good, & you get out of there quickly. The spicy chicken they have on Tuesdays & Thursdays is my favorite. The curry chicken & bbq chicken is also really good!

Delicious to the last bite! Good food, big portions, all smile friendly service. Spacious common area where you can enjoy the sunshine and people watching.

I go here specifically for the Sisig. Hands down the best Sisig in all of San Diego. You can quote me. This place needs to blow up because of it. I dare you to try it. If you don't like it feel free to message me.

The last time I was here was 3 years ago. I don't know but when I look at the displayed food, it kept getting worst. I don't know if the owner just leave the cooking to others. It doesn't look yummy and bbq chicken is hard, Pancit looks sad and Tortang talong looks pathetic and don't taste like it. Food is expensive but not worth it.

The other day, I got the tri tip sandwich with chimichurri. The order came up quickly. I live a couple of blocks away. By the time I was home, the sandwich was cold. Not lukewarm, not tepid, but cold. But the REALLY disturbing thing was the bun/bread. It fell apart, into large chunks, the minute I opened the paper wrap up. A sandwich has two major components, BREAD and the filler. Can't you have decent fresh bread? This seems to be a challenge lately for the Grand Ole BBQ. A couple of months ago, I got the hot links, and they were served on the most run of the mill, grocery store quality, HAMBURGER bun. LINKS, folks, should be on a hot dog shaped bun, not cut up into small pieces and placed on a cheap, round, bun. I can't decide if this is hipsters, serving food and doing it their way, with whatever happens to be available at the moment, or if this is management saying "we don't care about your expectations." It isn't novel, to put links on a hamburger bun, it doesn't make it artsy, or unique, it makes it look like an afterthought. So does try-tip on a bun that wasn't. And the chimichurri- driest, almost oil-free chimichurri I've ever had, I had to add oil, at home, to be able to spread it. Good chimichurri isn't difficult, I make it all of the time. Make an effort people. Restaurant are closing. Disregarding your customer is one quicker way to meet that end.

There just weren't as many options compared to other Korean BBQ places we've been to like Manna or Sura. I was expecting a little more variety. Service was okay. The banchan was really good, and the meat quality was seriously impressive. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. The service was also incredible, especially considering how busy they were. We waited about 45 minutes during peak dinner time, which honestly wasn't bad at all given how packed the restaurant was. And you HAVE to get the cheese fried rice at the end. They use a special type of cookware that makes it look like this giant lid, and the fried rice gets perfectly crispy and cheesy. Such a fun way to finish the meal. Food: We ordered the SOT Sampler Plate and a fried rice. My favorite was the Prime Short Rib. Everything was good but personally I can't tell the difference between the meat I ate here and from another KBBQ place. For the fried rice they kinda burnt our fried rice. It was so burnt that when we tried to scoop up the rice to try and get that charred bottom, it was stuck and moved the grill itself. Service: Staff were good and attentive to when we needed water refills and more sides. They cooked all the food and asked type of doneness we would like our meat. The only time they slipped was for the fried rice. Ambiance: The place is a nice smell of meat cooking. Feels like a pretty professional establishment. Definitely a place where you could bring a much larger party. Parking: This area has a parking lot space and at the time we came there were still plenty of spots.
