These guys are not joke! Good food, good people and good vibes! If you're looking for amazing fusion eats, hit them up!

We had our wedding this past weekend 5/25/25 and Ming Oun's kitchen was our main caterer. They were such a pleasure to work with! We heard such great things from our families and guests. They had mentioned the food was so delicious and the sauces was amazing! We got their steak tuk prahok, lemongrass skewers, firecracker shrimp, liempo, soy chicken and garlic steak. The food was also beautifully displayed. There service was top tier and was very communicative. At one point during the event, Ming Oun's team was kind enough to take initiatives and brought out food that we had from other drop caterers and displayed it for our guest so that they can start munching on the appetizers. Their actions really contributed a lot to a smooth event and importantly in creating such a memorable event for both our family and friends and for us. Would definitely recommend and we would love to work with them again in the future!

Charred skewers, rice and pickled veggies ! So delicious !

Attended an event which Ming Oun's Kitchen was set up for the evening. As soon as you walked outside you could smell the grill and flavors in the air, I was very excited to grab some grub. The whole crew working was super friendly and nice. They had huge plates for $15 dollars that came with a couple charred meat skewers, rice and pickled veggies. Everything was super tasty! The whole spread was delicious. It seems like they are just a pop up company at the moment but I'll definitely keep an eye out for them at future events.

I have a loved one in a nursing facility in North San Diego and the staff there provide the kind of compassionate care that comes with dignity. After experiencing another facility that was so heartbreaking it left me questioning everything. I wanted to do something meaningful to thank this incredible team. A card didn't seem like enough. Flowers fade. But good food? Good food creates memories. I ordered the sisig, pancit, and their famous signature lumpia rolls, along with pandesal from Valerio's. Ordering was a breeze. I placed my order at 9:30 a.m. and picked everything up at 4:00 p.m. Three small trays turned out to be an incredible amount of food. I planned for 10 people, but it fed a whole lot more as many from different units gathered to share. The moment that sealed it for me happened before a single tray was opened. A nurse I had never met walked over and said, "Oh, you went to Tita's. I recognized their lumpia." That gave me chills because I knew I had chosen the right place. The food tasted like it came straight from Mamasan's kitchen, authentic, comforting, and made with love. Staff members kept stopping by to thank us, and my only conidition, "Make a plate for the receptionist. He's awesome too." That is what great food does. It creates connection. If you're feeding family, friends, coworkers, or an entire care team, Tita's Kitchenette delivers more than delicious Filipino food. They help you show appreciation in a way people will remember. Adults $26.99 and Children 10 and under $13.99. This is definately a meeting spot as I saw friends I haven't seen in a long time dining here too. NOTE: Be aware of where you park. DO NOT park in front of O'Riellys painted curb as they are towing vehicles. The buffet had ube pancakes which tasted good and I don't like Ube. Also, my favorites were: Tocino, Tapa and Longanesia. There's the regular items such as Kare Kare, Sunnyside Eggs, Garlic Rice and Rice. I tried the Jeprox and champarado and I was not a fan. It's just me as I did not grow up with these dishes so I didn't have a taste for it. I really enjoyed the Sisig topped with raw egg on top. We mixed it up and yummy. The best Sisig I have ever had. My friends enjoyed it very much too. Lastly, for dessert, we ordered the halo halo with ube ice cream. It was so refreshing. The ice was shaved perfectly to my liking. I don't like fine ice. Overall, great spot to gather with family and friends. It's a pretty good size restaurant too. We were a party of 12 and I would highly recommend making reservations. Thanks Tress and Staff for making my dining experience a memorable one.

Since we live more than an hour away, we waited until we were already in the area. Two days ago, we finally stopped by. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The first thing we noticed upon walking in was an unusual odor that wasn't very inviting. Since it wasn't their Sunday buffet day, we ordered à la carte: kare-kare, crispy pata, and chicken inasal. The service was good, food presentation was nice, and the dishes looked promising. However, the flavors did not meet our expectations. The kare-kare did not taste like traditional kare-kare, and the bagoong alamang was extremely salty with a very strong odor. The crispy pata had been chopped into pieces before frying, making it look and eat more like lechon kawali than the crispy pata we expected. As for the chicken inasal, it was far from the traditional version we're familiar with--it didn't even appear grilled and resembled chicken satay more than inasal. There were three of us dining, and all of us shared the same impressions of the food. Based on their advertising about serving food that's "as good as Nanay's," we came in with high expectations, but sadly, those expectations were not met. This was our first visit, and unfortunately, it will likely be our last. While others may have a different experience, we were not impressed with the food and would not make the drive back for another visit.

Unfortunately I didn't bring my wallet so I had to drop off Theodore and circle back. We asked how long he would be there and we had roughly an hour to return. I hustled home, grabbed my credit card and high-tailed it back! Since it was still morning I only limited myself to just one food order. I was seriously debating between the pork lumpia and Malasadas. Savory always wins! Ordering and paying was easy peazy lemony squeezey. They are rolled and fried fresh when you order them so I didn't mind the wait at all. He gave me a beeper and told me to wait 5 minutes. $15 dollars for 6 long lumpias. On the menu they are described as jumbo, but the are long not wide. I popped into the coffee shop because they had a feature baker pop-up. I sat down only a few minutes and the beeper buzzed. These pipping hot golden deliciousness was handed to me with the box opened for optimum crispness. They smelled so good but I had discipline to wait until I got home and not burn my mouth. The lumpia were sprinkled with Microgreens and showered in fried garlic which was a very nice touch to elevate the lumpia experience. They were served with the classic sweet chili sauce, a generous amount too. I only needed half and I dipped before every bite. They were more reminiscent of long cigars than the lumpia I'm used to, but very yummy! I'll have to try the chicken adobo next time.

Both items were actually pretty salty... I've had these before and I don't remember it being this salty and heavily vinegar based. Either way. The food was pretty good. I think we got there a bit too early as they still needed time to open up shop before they were ready to take orders. Nonetheless they were respectful and were transparent that they'd need time to open up and also to cook the dishes. Since this is in liberty station, it can get pretty loud in here. The seating is also all shared among the other restaurants so finding a table can be tough. It's also near the air strip so if you eat outside expect it to be loud from the planes flying by. Overall, pretty good for a "taste of home" Filipino dish, but my only gripes are the pricing (it's on the pricier side), the saltiness (shout out to the vinegar) and the timing (Filipino time that we all know and love lol).

R&B FILIPINO CUISINE @ MIRA MESA…read more Parking was super easy since there's parking available right out front, and there were plenty of spots when I came on a Friday evening after work. Just note that they close pretty early, around 5:30 PM on weekdays and 4 PM on weekends, so definitely plan ahead if you're trying to make it there later in the day. The restaurant is located in a busier area with other restaurants and businesses nearby, but once you walk in, it has a really chill and welcoming vibe. They have a bunch of Filipino snacks and items displayed on the side, and the whole place feels very authentic and homey. The setup reminded me a little of places like Chipotle or Panda Express where you move down the line and choose what you want on your plate. I got plain white rice as my base, but you can also get pancit, which are glass noodles with veggies, for a small extra charge depending on the plate size. For my sides, I got the crispy pork sisig and lumpia rolls, which are thin crispy Filipino egg rolls. For two sides and one base, it came out to around $16, and they loaded the plate with so much food that it easily became two meals. My boyfriend got the spicy squid along with a pork and liver dish, and everything was super flavorful. Overall, I'd highly recommend stopping by here if you want authentic Filipino food that feels homemade and comforting. My boyfriend is Filipino and even he said it tasted really good, which definitely says a lot. No one in the kitchen expects you to take a bite of lumpia, or taste a bit of lechon with its shatteringly crisp skin, and have a moment of ecstatic pleasure, where you think to yourself (and say to whoever is nearby), "God-DAMN! That's the best thing I've ever eaten. They expect you to have that reaction at your Tita's house, in her backyard, at a birthday party for someone you're sort of related to. Turo-turo is for sating your appetite with large portions of rich, flavorful food, then going back to work. It's for grabbing a mixed bag of dinner plates and side dishes and desserts, then heading home to your family, where everyone is hungry, that kind of hungry where you talk with your mouth full while you eat, but no one minds, because they're doing the same thing. It's for leftovers - awesome leftovers - that taste as good as they did the first day, maybe better, planned-for leftovers that help keep the kitchen clean and the family full and happy. It's for comfort food, though I can't imagine anyone eating a piled-high meal of pancit and adobo and pinakbet, then pushing back from the table and saying, "You know, I feel really... comfortable." R&B serves all these things, and more, for all of these reasons. And maybe it's not excellent, but it's damned good, and it does the job it's meant to do.
