Tried Pho and Wings in Scripps Ranch and overall, it was just okay. We ordered the pho along with a few appetizers, and while nothing was necessarily bad, nothing really stood out to us either. For the quality and portion sizes, we also felt like the prices were a little on the higher side. Staff was friendly. We didn't get a chance to try the wings, so maybe we'll have to come back and give those a shot since they're in the name! Banh mi- bread was fresh, soft and crunchy. Combo filling was very tasty-distinct and delicious flavors. Salt & Pepper Tofu was excellent. It was a take out order and it stayed crispy and hot. Pork Spring Rolls- perfect bites of yummy with lettuce, cilantro & dip on the side. Dragon Fruit Smoothie, Thai Tea (complimentary) and Strawberry Lemonade- all were delicious. I especially loved the freshness of the lemonade with fresh strawberry purée and a lovely slice of lime-it is 92 degrees outside and this was a welcome treat. This is a newer spot in Sabre Springs area and a welcome addition to the local family owned restaurants in our neighborhood. Service was friendly, personable and genuine. 2.5 round up. Mom and pop pho place that opened recently in the vons plaza. Used to be the korean chicken place.. they even left the decor up from padadak.. which is amusing. The kids working were truly wishing for a different life.. but even i know that burden of honoring your family and being dutiful. You gotta do what you gotta do. There is a humble attempt at decor. Space is small and doesn't accommodate large groups well. But it does the job when you take your family to grab food. Garlic noodles with shrimp. Not bad in taste generally but shrimp was small and not very generous compared to the noodles. Shaken beef.. was more onions and peppers with a small handful of beef cubes. Ratio is off.. it needed more meat .. at least taste was good but nothing to write home about. The side soup was less than appealing. Pho... beef ribs were big and meaty but the soup misses the mark for me. Seems like they do not use msg... which here... they desperately needed more of. It was missing the developed depth sought in pho soup. Wings were dry and small. It was a bit disappointing. At least they were served hot and welll seasoned. Overall I am glad that we stopped by to support but I don't anticipate returning. This missed the mark as someone who knows good vietnamese food. The prices for the food would make all my ancestors turn over in their graves. There's unfortunately better pho and wings in sd... but it's at least worth a try. read more

Came here for lunch with my mom after noticing this newly opened restaurant and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is small but has plenty of indoor seating, and they offer a happy hour. The menu also has a lot of options and variations of different foods to pick. The service was friendly and attentive, and they even gave us a complimentary Vietnamese dessert with grass jelly, which was a nice touch. My mom ordered the build-your-own pho, but the broth tasted watered down and lacked the rich flavor we were expecting. I had the Grilled Pork (Bún Thịt Nướng). The pork itself was tender and cooked well, but overall the dish didn't have much flavor and could have used more seasoning. Overall, the service was the highlight of our visit, but the food didn't quite meet our expectations. This mom and pop restaurant serves delicious food and drinks. With so many options to choose from, it will take a while for you to decide on what to order. I know I did. I ended up with vermicelli with chicken, shrimp tempura, a huge bowl of pho and a galbi rice plate for my son. All were flavorful and made fresh. My son, who is a picky eater actually said he liked his meal! I guess we have found a new spot to dine at. Their dining area is clean and has a few TVs which was perfect to catch FIFA. Service was excellent. We were always checked on and were even provided with dessert at the end. This is a new location in Scripps Ranch so I had to try. Today I had the beef bone pho and the shakin beef with fries. Both were good, portion sizes were small. And the bone in the pho was so large I didn't get much broth. There wasn't hardly any beef on the bone just lots of tendons, unfortunately I'm not a big fan. Next time I'll try something else. Bonus - they do have a weekday Happy hour 2-5pm. That would be a great time to try a Thai Tea. The staff is friendly. read more

The salt and pepper wings were crispy and juicy but not special--I was expecting a fish sauce glaze to make them feel truly Vietnamese. Serving them with Thousand Island felt like an odd choice. We also ordered the special vermicelli which was tasty, but the portions were pretty small for the price. The banh mi was OK, but the baguette was dry and the meat thin. Found this place after opting to walk away from a poor service experience at a nearby Seafood restaurant. What an awesome discovery! I would have never stopped here otherwise especially because a great Vietnamese restaurant is nearby in Mira Mesa. We came on a Thursday during happy hour (M-F 2-6pm) and we quickly found seats. The service was spectacular with clean menus on hand immediately after seating. The place was clean and colorful with TVs on the walls playing a variety of shows (cartoons, KMTV, sports, etc.). Because it was happy hour I ordered a bunch of appetizers: fresh spring rolls, egg rolls, and crab wonton. The spring rolls came quickly. It was bright, crunchy, and flavorful. The egg rolls came next and it was piping hot but also very flavorful and a good size. The crab wontons were a nice novelty dish. The others on my table ordered a BBQ pork fried rice with large chunks of pork, BBQ Pork Plate came with plenty of meat, rice, and veggies, and BBQ beef vermicelli which was equally bright, crunchy and delicious. This is now my favorite Vietnamese place nearby. I will come next time to try their pho once the weather cools down. I hope this place stays clean and delicious because it will be my go-to place! read more

The dining room was clean. I was expecting more modern newish looking dining area since this is a new restaurant in the area. It must be family owned because there were two teenagers running the front and taking orders. I walked to the counter for a takeout order and neither one of them looked busy. One of them was just sitting on the counter scrolling on his phone. I ordered the S1 and the plain wings, salt and pepper. I'll say that I tasted no salt and no pepper. The wings were more just fried naked. The sandwich was so soggy when I got home not sure if that could've been avoided, but that's how it was. The menu at Pho and Wings covers all the popular dishes from fresh spring rolls, wings of course, banh mi and pho. On this visit I opted for their Beef Rib Pho with rare steak. The 2 beef ribs was tender and had a good amount of meat on the bone. No real flavor or seasoning on the rib but was tender. The broth and noodles were pretty standard and tasted fine. We heard about this new pho restaurant that was open late until 10pm so we decided to go here for a late dinner. They have just opened a couple of weeks so they were quite empty of diners, plus it was late. They had a pho plus drink special so we decided to take advantage of that. Overall, the pho was fine, it did its thing, but I do feel like you can get better or as good pho for a cheaper price in Mira Mesa. The building was also hot because it was summer with no A/C just a couple fans on while eating soup. They give you complimentary dessert after your meal though! read more

I got the House Special Vermicelli without bean sprouts which is always an amazing customization option in an online takeout menu! I also got the Passionfruit Green Tea and it is incredible; I would seriously stop there between errands just to have this tea on the go again! The portion size is so big; this entree has bbq pork, chicken, veggies, an egg roll, and vermicelli, with a side of fish sauce. I will have to go back again and dine in for the pho. My wife said she preferred the ones at Pho Lucky. The calamari was tasty, but more like calamari sticks , no tentacles. The chicken wings were good, but nothing special. We were the only customers at 12 AM on a Sunday. Service was good and everything was on a tablet. The ambiance was clean and modern. Came here around dinner time during a weekday and dine in was not that busy, but I did notice a lot of people were doing pick-up for online order. The restaurant is in a plaza with lots of parking and plenty of seating inside. We got the wings and fries with the house special sauce on the side and the house vermicelli noodles. Wings and fries were made fresh to order and came piping hot when served. The wings were crispy, and not oily at all. Pretty reasonable size too for what you get. House sauce felt like a mix of sriracha and kewpie mayo, solid option for the wings. I think next time I would order flavored wings and see how the flavored wings taste. Overall, wings were nice and crispy. House vermicelli noodle was refreshing. The egg rolls were crispy, and there was definitely a lot of meat added to it too. Me and my son go surfing every Saturday and Sunday, then we go get a shave ice right next door to this restaurant. We decided to eat here, and it was pleasantly wonderful. The service was excellent. Stopped in for a break from uber saw the grand opening sign and decided to step in since it says it has pho and wings. I looked at the menu and saw a beef salad that looked interesting and decided to try it and boy! I'm glad I did. The beef salad was really good with a honey glazed salad dressing that blended in beautifully with the rest of the vegetables and the beef. The Service was very good an elderly lady served me and she was so very kind even offered me a free drink if I purchased noodles even though I had to just order a salad, the other server was also very kind and gave me a warm welcome and let me know that he would look out for me next time if I come back as far as the venue goes, it is really cute unique and very much cultural with unique art work. It's very cozy and the lighting is very cool and normal overall I deserve. I liked my service and my meal. If I'm ever in Poway again I will probably stop by. After I've gone here about 5 times now, I can update my review with a little more detail. Service is nice, place is clean. They don't have a ton of options, but I kind of like that because they mainly can just focus on pho. The pho portion is a tad bit smaller than your average pho bowl, but the broth is pretty good. The sesame coffee is SO good, if you like your coffee sweet then I think you'll enjoy this. The salt foam coffee is good, like any other salt foam coffee. The taro milk tea is nice & sweet as it should, my son loves it. I tried the bbq sauce for the wings & it was mid. I love that you get a free drink with any pho you order. I'm not sure if that's only for their grand opening promo or a permanent thing, but I'm enjoying it for now! read more
