I love Dr. Godfrey. I have been seeing Dr. Godfrey since about 1995. She is the best Doctor I have ever been to. We are moving in a couple of months and before I go, I wanted to post a review for her. I started seeing her after trying several other Rheumatologist for my Fibromyalgia. The other doctors all said, you don't have Fibromyalgia, because they didn't believe in Fibromyalgia. They all thought Fibromyalgia was some crazy old women's thing and I looked young and healthy at 33 years of age. They all said I am going to determine what is actually going on with you. At first my husband and I were excited thinking they were going to cure me. Doctor after doctor I found that not to be the case and got very down after finding out they would basically just forget about me. Finally I found Dr. Godfrey who confirmed the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia that my primary had diagnosed and took me on as a patient. She has always shown me the best of care. She has called me on her days off, including on Sundays to follow up on labs where I need to get on medication. In 2012 I ended up in the hospital with sepsis twice. Once in ended up in ICU. Dr Godfrey showed up every morning to visit me (each episode I was in the hospital for a week). The first day she came twice because I was nervous and I asked her if she was coming back. So she showed up later that day. Dr. Godfrey is always very thorough. Even though with Fibromyalgia I am always in a lot of pain, when something new pops up, she alway runs the necessary scans and test to make sure it is not something else. She has found I have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder as well as a frozen right shoulder as well as tendonitis in both shoulders. I can't say enough about how much I look up to and Love Dr. Godfrey. I don't know what I would have done all these years in pain without her. Not sure how this office runs but I tried calling to be put on hold without anyone saying so then hung up on.

I was treated very badly by the office staff. Dr Godfrey decided to retire but I needed refills on medicine she had prescribed for me. They said it had been a year since I'd seen the doctor so they couldn't refill the prescriptions. They wouldn't contact her and they would not facilitate an appointment with an alternative doctor without my waiting 3 months for an appointment. They said too bad there was nothing else they could do. When I voiced my disconcern for being relegated to not having my prescriptions they told me I was blacklisted and would not be allowed to come there again at all. So I found another rheumatologist. At that point it took them five different contacts over two months to get my medical records. I stopped just short of calling a lawyer and or the medical board. Don't go to this office or you'll be sorry when you have to deal with the Gestapo staff. read more

I was a patient of this doctor for over 20 years, which she had diagnosed me with Rheumatoid Arthritis. She prescribed dozens of medications and several kinds of biologics. I would complain of knee pain, shoulder pain, and burning pain on my body. She would say to continue with the meds and take Tylenol PM for the other pain. After the constant pain and fatigue I decided to retire early and my husband and I moved. After my FIRST visit to my new Rhematologist, he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. Now it all made sense! This place is ridiculous. They are impossible to get a hold of. I've called six times in the past week and every time I call I either get a busy signal or a message saying they are out of the office. Not only that, but the doctor seemed very impatient. She wasn't very thorough and didn't want to take the time to explain anything to me, didn't listen to my concerns, and didn't want to be bothered answering my questions. She just seemed like she wanted to rush through the appointment so she could get rid of me and clock out. read more

I just recently became a patient of Dr. Godfrey. I started seeing her due to continuous back pain and was referred by my orthopedic dr because he felt maybe my back pain had more to be joint related. She took down my family medical ran some test and was able to give me a diagnosis. I am so glad i was referred to her. BTW, her staff is great. read more

This rating is solely on customer service from staff. I tried to make an appointment and they wouldn't schedule me one until they received paperwork. Ok I get it but if you are scheduling a month out and I've been to e.r. and neurologist and have had mri's of spine and brain. You should schedule appointment and make sure proper documentation and referral is available come appointment date. Don't make it to where you need paperwork first. Doctor won't look at it anyways until I get there. And most of the time I have to advocate for myself because doctors I go to and staff are so busy they really can't focus on caring for each individual patients needs. I have my referral now and I can't get a hold of them. Busy signal. Please get a better phone system. I am going to keep trying since I've heard good reviews on Dr. Godfrey. But getting in or getting a hold of staff can be difficult. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Godfrey for 3 years now,i couldnt ask for a better doctor, i was so scared being that i was just diagnosed with R.A. and in a huge amount of pain! My condition is not consuming me like it was and any time i have questions she is always quick to call me back personally,i have never had a doctor that is so personally involved with her patients well being before,it's very comforting to know i can rely on her.If you have a serious auto immune disorder i would highly recommend Dr. Godfrey!! read more

Wow...I'm not sure why there are reviews about the staff being rude. I've never, ever had any problems with the staff. They are absolutely amazing. All of them have been with Dr. Godfrey for years. I've been a patient of Dr. Godfrey's for over 20 years, and she's always been great. I find if I write my questions down before I see her, she takes all the time I need to answer my questions. My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Godfrey's, and we feel like we get really amazing care. It's too bad that others feel they don't get good care, because that's not been my experience. As far as not being able to reach the staff because the phones are busy, etc., that's partially because they're super busy...why? Because Dr. Godfrey is one of the best! When I had surgery a few years ago, Dr. Godfrey actually came by to see how I was doing. She doesn't want to see her patients suffer, and I know from personal experience, she really does care about her patients. read more

I think Dr. Godfrey is fantastic. She's caring and always makes time for me when I need her. She follows through with test results and following my issues. I can totally depend on her. I don't know if I've ever had a doctor as good as she is. She takes the time to explain my issues and answer all of my questions. Her staff is wonderful also. Never had to wait very long. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Godfrey's since 1998. The first time I saw her she sat me down in her personal office not an exam room & took the time to discuss my diagnosis, my medical history, what doctors I had seen before, tests I had previously had done, symptoms, etc. Next she took me into an exam room & did a thorough examination. At the end she told me her diagnosis, recommended further testing, medications & therapy, & told me when she would like to see me again. She is the best doctor I have ever seen. She always seems concerned about how I am doing & any new issues I have. She is knowledgeable about her particular field. Most appointments I've had with her are quick but when she needs to take her time with me such as for cortisone injections or for a more thorough exam to address new problems she takes that that time. My recommendations to her patients are: be prepared to bring in a list of your questions for her. If you don't ask them she can't answer them. Let her know about new symptoms or concerns you have & be specific about how you are doing. Don't just tell her you're okay. Really tell her how you are feeling. Always check your medications before you come in to be able to tell her what refills you need since she always asks you. If she ordered lab work at your last visit to be done prior to your current visit have it done at least 10 days to two weeks ahead of your appointment so that she has received the results & can discuss them with you. Lab companies can be slow. If she has to stop & have her staff call the lab company to fax over your results because you just had it done & didn't give them enough time to get the results to her it not only takes up her time but also yours. In my situation I almost always have to have lab work done due to the type of medications I am on. This is common with auto immune diseases. At times it may seem that some of her staff is rude but I have found that is just because they are very busy & are thinking about everything they need to do for you & each & every patient that is seen in that office. Auto immune diseases require a lot of specific testing, medications that require special authorization by insurance companies, specific therapies, etc. that all require the staffs attention to make sure it's done right. They may not always be smiling at you but are thinking about everything they need to get done for you in the most efficient way. When it comes down to it they will go the extra mile for you & do everything they can to make sure you get what Dr Godfrey has ordered for you. On many occasions my insurance company has balked at paying for my medications or procedures but this staff has made sure to explore all areas they can to get me what I need & deserve from my insurance company at the least cost to me. I have been going to this office for almost 20 years & have found the staff truly does care about me. When they do have the time they smile a lot & have become professional friends that are concerned about me. Over the years that I have been going to Dr. Godfrey I have since found out that she is a doctor that even doctors choose to be a patient of hers. read more

Dr. Godfrey was spot on in assisting me with my arthritis concerns. I had even been to the ER thinking I had a broken finger and was basically blown off.
