Nancy is absolutely amazing. From the moment I contacted her to the postpartum questions I've had, she's been extremely responsive and informative. We booked her for placenta encapsulation services. She quickly came to the hospital within 2 hours of telling her I had given birth and created a 3D image of the placenta, a keepsake of the umbilical cord, and the capsules. I was frustrated after giving birth because I was only producing about 2 ml of colostrum. Within 24 hours of starting the capsules, my supply quadrupled and then continued to increase. I've been taking the capsules for 3 days and I'm now producing 10 ounces of milk per session only 6 days postpartum! We met Nancy through another Doula of ours and she has been wonderful. As first time parents of twins, you really don't know what to expect. Nancy came on board to help us a couple of months after our twins were born. Her super power, for us, was sleep training. For parents that are reading this now and wondering where their sleep has gone, Nancy could help you get it back. She provided us with a detailed daily schedule for us to follow as well as detailed expectations. Note that it is critically important to follow what she says and remain consistent during the sleep training process. We are on our second week of sleep training and our baby girl, after 10 days of training, has slept through the night without any whimpering or waking up. She slept from 7:30 p.m. till 7:30 a.m., which we've never experienced. Our baby boy, compared to before, has increased dramatically. Before, he'll wake up every 45 minutes (from birth till about 10 weeks), but now, he'll at least sleep 3-5 hours at a time. Usually, my wife and I would nervously sleep, always fearing some sort of wake up or crying eruption. Nancy is very detail oriented and observant, if she feels that your baby doesn't need to be held here, or fed at a certain time, she will let you know and the logical reasons behind it. In addition, she will write detailed notes about how the babies are so you'll always be in the know. She will also break your bad instinctual habits, which is what most parents need. For those that have twins, get Nancy to help you sleep train. If you have a singleton, call Nancy anyway, she will deliver the end result of what you will end up craving, sleep. It would be impossible to overstate what a kind, thoughtful, patient, compassionate presence Nancy brings to her work. As first time parents, of course we approached the experience of bringing our child home and caring for her with a mixture of anxiety and overwhelmedness. Neither of us have family within 1,000 miles, so we worried that we would alone and unable to manage during the crucial first few weeks of our child's life. After a long hospital stay that included 6 nights at Cedars and our baby being in the NICU for 3 days, Nancy met us on our first day home. Nancy was our night nurse for both our sons who are currently two and 5 months. She was with us 6 weeks for the first and 3 months for the second. All I can say is she is a magician, a baby whisperer. She genuinely loves babies with all her heart and cares about postpartum moms so much. Nancy still cares for our babies when we need a date night because our boys love her so much. We also have her come with us when we travel with the babies because she is has such a strong bond with our kids. Our two year old asks for her. We trust her with everything and implicitly. She is the single best decision we made as new parents. She taught me and my husband how to care for newborns better than any class or video. We only wish we had the foresight to book her for 3 months with the first because she books up very quickly so my only advice is to call her as soon as you are pregnant!! Nancy we love you!! read more
