My friend and I were looking for a location halfway between our houses that we could meet at for lunch. Naturally, I looked to yelp for some advice. Holy moly, the reviews did not steer me wrong. We ate at Nancy's at 12 PM on a Thursday. We didn't have a wait, and our service was amazing. The restaurant is really adorable and has plenty of seating. When it's warmer out, there is a ton of outdoor seating. Parking is super easy. I ordered hot wings as an appetizer, and they were some of the best wings I've ever had. Not very hot though if you're looking for heat. I ordered a deep dish sausage Chicago style pizza and let me tell you, for not being in Chicago, the pizza was amazing! Stopped in last night after a long day on the road and being outside. We've been in a different city every night and this pizza last night was what my soul needed. It came out of the kitchen and it was a glorious sight to be seen. I was nearly drooling. I joked it just needed birthday candles and I would've taken it as a birthday cake. It was delicious, perfectly cooked. What made our experience so much more awesome was our amazing, funny, and kind server Kim. She was the icing on the cake. She gave us fantastic service and a great conversation. Of all the restaurants we've been to in the last week (and let me tell you it's a lot), it's been the best experience we've had. This place was delicious and I will be back! I had the stuffed pizza, wings, and vanilla stout. I admit it is kinda pricey but, it was excellent food and service. Passing through while on a business trip...thought I'd stop in because it was not one of the regular chains, and it had a bar (right next to my hotel). The place was pretty slow for a Friday night at 7:30. It's in a small town, and that may account for it, but plenty of hotels and a freeway nearby. It didn't start off strong when I sat down at the bar and the bartender told me immediately that I'd have to "wait a minute," even though I had yet to say anything to her. I came in in a good mood, and wasn't in a hurry, as I was here for the night. A strange start. I ordered a Strongbow, and she offered a menu. I ordered rhe mostaciolli, with added meatball. That's how I ordered, but she made a bit of a production of letting me know that meatballs were extra. I also ordered some breadsticks. The bowl of pasta was big, but flavorless with runny sauce, and the meatballs were severely overcooked. The picture I posted was what I left behind. The breadsticks were like cardboard, and I've had better even at Fazoli's. Well, at least the Strongbow was good. Poor service, poorly prepared food, and a weak, runny marinara. I recommend you skip it. read more

Not impressed with deep dish stuffed pizza. It was a bit thicker than a thin pizza. The mozzarella sticks were not good totally frozen tasting. Little Ceasars pan pizza would be twice as tall, and gourmet compared to this tonight. They did let my daughter get spaghetti instead of manacotti, and she liked that. read more

We were staying in the hotel next door and Nancy's has great Yelp reviews so we checked it out. There were 10 in our party and no one was disappointed. Our server Daniella deserves 10 Stars. One of the best waitresses of all time. The restaurant looks nice and is very clean. We ordered three pizzas. One was thin crust, the second was pan pizza and the third was their famous stuffed pizza. They were generous with the cheese and toppings and all pizzas were delicious, with my favorite being the stuffed pizza. I feel like I should give it 5 stars because I can't imagine any pizza place within 20 miles will compare. However I was in Chicago a few days earlier. Lou Malnati's gets my 5. Giordano's gets a 4. I think Nancy's is on par with Giordano's, which is really saying a lot. read more

Stopped in Litchfield for short stop on the way to Iowa and there isn't much to pick from in the area but Nancy's hit the spot! Had the Italian beef sandwich with hot pepper that checked all the boxes and got a small deep dish pizza with pepperoni that was cooked perfect! Would definitely recommend!! read more

First, let me say how happy I am to have Chicago style pizza a bit closer to St Louis than Chicago. We drive by on interstate 55 occasionally, and had been intrigued when we saw it pop up. I finally decided to give it a try when I had to make a trip that direction recently. I ordered for carry out so that I could bring it home to enjoy with my husband. First issue... Apparently their carry out area is not monitored, at least not in the middle of the afternoon. I stood in their carry out area for a good 5 minutes before somebody finally noticed me and then instructed me to go to the bar. Granted I had been stepping out to that area occasionally while I was waiting and saw nobody. I still continued waiting and finally somebody helped me. There was only one couple in the whole place eating so it wasn't an issue of people being too busy. If you aren't going to have the carry out area monitored, at least provide a bell or buzzer so that customers can let the staff know they are there. Second issue, we ordered a half cheese, half sausage pizza which once would expect to be sliced in a manner so that half of the slices were just cheese and half were sausage. Unfortunately what we got were two slices that were about half of each...which isn't ideal when a vegetarian is eating a slice of what she thought to be meatless pizza and finds it contains sausage. The pizza itself (other than the cutting error) was quite good. Very similar to other Chicago style stuffed crust deep dish pizza that I've had. My other comment is that the sauce isn't quite right... A little too tangy in my opinion. Honestly had it not been for the issue with pick up and cutting, I would have given 5 stars. read more

Pizza and staff were great! We ordered the Chicago style and thin crust pies. Sauce, cheese, crust on both were awesome! It was nice to drive 45 minutes instead of 4 hours to Chicago. Had a Vanilla Stout and it was also larapin. Only issue and should not top anyone from visiting here, but table tops are really small. I had the best first experience at Nancy's. We were so hungry when we arrived and were happy that there was a restaurant open in Illinois to eat inside that we couldn't wait to order multiple things. The waitress was extremely nice and accommodating she brought out little tasting samples of their pesto and Cesar. I am not a fan of most pesto (especially pine nut), but their basil pesto was the best I've ever had and I would eat it on anything or use it as a dipping sauce. Their Cesar is very thick and super rich without being too fishy, but The Godfather sandwich shut your trap and just order it and thank me later!!! It was such a good quality of me with great flavoring on garlic cheese bread served with wonderful au jus that was not too salty. And definitely get the giardiniera on the side. Very flavorful without being too hot or spicy. I know you're like why is she talking about everything but the pizza well because the other dishes were so good. The Chicago style pizza did not take too long or we were talking too much because the food came out rather quickly. You don't need extra cheese but if you're a sausage lover or meat lover whatever you order I would suggest paying for the extra meat. I felt there wasn't enough sausage on our pizza and that will be the reason I remove one star. Very friendly staff very clean restaurant and restrooms it's worth the drive it's worth your time to patronize this establishment. We drove like 35-40 minutes to eat there and we will now fo it regularly! They more than deserve your business in a state that is killing more businesses and it helps. read more

Deep dish is overpriced. And my order was wrong. Didn't bug me because I liked the toppings. But for the price, I expect it to be correct. Was a really good pie. Wings were meh. Ok at best.
