Very nasty customer service. It was almost as if they didn't want to serve me my food that I managed to spend 60 dollars on. Their food is over priced , the servers are extremely slow bringing out the food. I filed a complaint to the manager "Shelly" I guess her name was and she was very passive aggressive with me, denied my refund when I asked for one because the inside of my chicken wasn't even done, she said "we can put it back on the stove" like why would I want this same chicken? Overall I had a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend this place also my server with the locs had an attitude the whole time and was slamming our plates. This is my second time visiting a Nando's and it did not disappoint! I ordered the heirloom tomato, chicken and halloumi salad, which I would definitely recommend! It was filling and the halloumi mixed very well with the salad. My boyfriend, on the other hand, was a little disappointed with his chicken, not because it tasted bad, but because it was just chicken with sauce. The sauce is great, though, and I love how you can try different sauces. I tried the garlic sauce, lemon and herb sauce and the medium sauce. The garlic sauce was good, but spicier than I expected. It wasn't extremely spicy, and for a reference, I have a high spice tolerance, such that I don't find a lot of Indian food or Chinese food spicy. I also love to add spice to all my food, so if you have low spice tolerance this will probably be very spicy for you and you would want the lemon and herb sauce. The medium spice was probably on par with the garlic sauce. We parked at Whole Foods Market garage. Basic food that is prepared awhile ago I don't know they just heat the chicken for you upon ordering. I'm kind of person who really hate left over food I know others don't mind it but I do and it's a no no. It was me and four cousins and was treated very rudely not to mention a party of five means spending over $150. They brought one by one and the time between each exceeded the five minutes with the attitude of the server who kept saying you ordered a lot of food it's like I'm eating for free. I quite liked it here! The staff was very kind and the food was delicious! I got the 1/4 chicken breast in the medium sauce with mashed potatoes and Spanish rice. Next time I will definitely be getting the chicken in the hot sauce though because the medium wasn't really spicy at all. The hot sauce was definitely my favorite to dip my chicken in. The mashed potatoes were insanely delicious. They were so creamy and decadent I could have eaten those all day. The Spanish rice was really good too but I'll probably try another side along with more mashed potatoes the next time I'm here. I am so so happy they have a location now in Baltimore so only an hour drive away for me now It's really spread since it's one location in D.C. If you've been to Nando's obviously get their chicken with the hot flavoring. You will have options for mild/ even hotter but you just go up to the counter and they'll ask you. And load up on the sides. I love the peas whenever and whichever Nando's I go to and their corn. This was my first time doing the Spanish rice which wasn't that bad. Of course, make sure to drown your stuff in the array of sauces they have in the back as well. I prefer the DC location since they char their stuff a little more but this one also sells beer (yes to lagunitas) and wine which is pretty freaking awesome. This got to be the most racist restaurant I have even been. My family seat down and ordered food by scanning their QR code on a quiet weekday afternoon. I gave generous amounts of tips. Minutes later, I got my food and water in bottles. That was it. No utensils no glasses. We tried to get the waiter's attention a few times while he was chitchatting with another waiter. Finally he came and we asked for utensils and glasses. He dropped off some plastic forks and never returned. No glasses even after he saw us waving at him. We thought that was just bad service until some white folks seat down next to our table and immediately provided with utensils and glasses. We looked again and there was another group of white served by the same waiter with glasses. Then we realized he was discriminating people of color. At the end, the food was mediocre at best and I couldn't recommend this racist establishment to anyone. read more

Great tasting chicken for a chain - flavorful charbroiled yumminess that is very juicy. One time had frustrating pickup order that I had ordered onine an hour before and they did not have the order ready. First time eating here! Had the 1/2 chicken with the hot sauce and garlic bread. The chicken was very well cooked and so moist! The garlic bread was toasted but seemed just soft enough to melt in your mouth after a bite. We also tried the chicken livers (hot) and rice. While I didn't care much for the rice the livers were prepared perfectly! I'll definitely be keeping my eyes out for trips here in the future! Oh and a word about the staff! We were greeted promptly upon entering and were directed to a table right away. Being a chicken fiend, I was ushered here by my brother. Got the half grilled chicken, slaw, and peas. I loved the peas even tho my brother didn't like em and warned me against it. The chicken was cooked perfectly and could have devoured it with out trying any peri peri sauces. But you know me! Had to try the spicy and very spicy. Both were awesome in their own ways bringing out different flavors in the chicken. So I mixed em! And then it was slap your grandma D-lish. On way out I noticed an even hotter version, which in retrospect was probably a good thing I didn't try it. Great chicken, great sides. I prefer chicken thighs/legs and after trying the 1/4 legs twice, the 3 chicken thighs 4 or 5 times, I finally found the holy grail here - the 2 skewers. So much more meat than any I tried before! I actually ate one full skewer, then thought to weigh the last skewer- just one skewer was 182 grams - and compared it to the box with 3 intact thighs, which was just under 150 grams. Coleslaw is a sort of mix of more creamy some vinegary type coleslaw. Mashed potatoes are great Fries ('chips') are excellent when hot; if you get delivery or leave them around for a little bit they aren't as good. Heating them up a little does help but doesn't get back to fresh from the restaurant. Caesar salad really good - a lot of actual shaved Parmesan cheese, good ripped croutons - I still get it even though I'm not sure if it's worth the extra 1.19. Tl:dr : if you like chicken thighs, the skewers are the way to go. read more

I travel here for work regularly and this is my 3rd visit. I usually get the Peri-Peri bowl. I've never been disappointed. Ingredients are fresh and presentation is spot on. Chicken is cooked perfectly and Nandos Medium Peri-Peri hot sauce is the right amount of heat. The glass bottle of flat water is a nice touch for dine-in. Wait staff are very friendly here and establishment is exceptionally clean. I visited other Nandos and found them to all be fairly consistent with quality. read more

The food was okay, but as a first-timer here, and even having the manager take my order, I wasn't given any instruction on the extremely odd set-up they have here for dining. You wait to be seated with a menu, but then you have to go up to the counter to order. They bring your food to you, but no silverware or anything. You have to get your own drinks, forks, and even salad dressings and sauce. I wasn't aware of any of this, and as a consumer you are sort of at a loss as to what they do for you vs what they make you get on your own. The Country salad I had was good, but didn't come with dressing- you have to go find it. The bottles that contain the dressings are a pain in the butt since they get clogged up with herbs that are in the dressing. I had to vigorously shake that bottle like a Shake Weight to get barely anything out. I stopped because I was getting strange looks. Now that (I think) I understand their system here, I may come back, but I wouldn't be in any rush to do so. read more

I eat a lot of chicken, it's one of the few proteins that I can cook. So going to a restaurant that specializes in flame grilled chicken didn't exactly excite me. But Nando's Peri-Peri is near my office and my coworkers go crazy over it. My car was in the shop so my roommate was picking me up from work and was able to be easily persuaded into giving Nando's in Harbor East a shot. My roommate is crazy for hummus, when she sees it on a menu she wants it. So, of course we started with the Hummus with Peri-Peri Drizzle. The creamy hummus was served with a bottle of tangy Peri-Peri infused oil (slightly spicy) to pour over the hummus and warm pita chips. The hummus was good and I loved the added kick of the Peri-Peri drizzle. For her meal, my roommate ordered the Flame Grilled Wings. The wings were super flavorful, mildly spicy, and had a great crispy exterior. While these weren't the best wings I've had, for sure they make the favorites list. I heard the chicken was delicious, so I ordered Chicken Breast Wrap. The wrap came with peppery sweet chilli jam, tangy yogurt sauce, and grilled pineapples. This was probably the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The chicken was tender and flavorful and served with a side of fries. I was a bit of a doubter before, but Nando's Peri-Peri has turned me on to Peruvian chicken. read more

This place is soo soo good! I wish they had one of these in Orlando. While wandering around Baltimore the hubby and I stumbled upon this spot for lunch. The decor and ambiance is soo cool and I the lighting is soo cute! We ordered the half chicken with lemon herb and for the two sides we ordered the mint mashed peas and the grilled corn on the cob. The chicken was very flavorful tender and moist. They have all of their peri peri sauces to add at your liking. The peas were soo yummy and the corn was juicy and sweet! I would definately recommend this spot, especially if you want something different. This is the first time I have had South African food and I am absolutely a fan! read more

I must apologize. My previous review that I posted for Nando's was actually for the place next door, at Cava. Here is my actual NPP review: We called in a to-go order last week based upon the online menu. Here's the [sort of] short run-down of what happened. The girl on the phone was almost rude to my co-worker when she was taking the order. When my co-worker asked for fries with her meal, she didn't realize at first that "chips" was fries, so it took a little back-and-forth before the girl on the phone specified that it was the same thing. The kids meal has a few side options, and when my friend tried to tell her I wanted the sliced apple with it, she had to repeat that three times because the girl said something like "okay, but what do you want for your side item?" Once again, apple. It IS the side item. Once we got our meals, there were no utensils or napkins even included with the bag. Is that something we were supposed to request? The food itself: My co-worker had a chicken caesar wrap which she said was very good. (And I do think she got the "chips" to go with it after all.) I ordered the chicken breast sandwich from the children's menu, but the menu did not mention it came with lettuce, tomato, mayo. (I would not have gotten tomato & mayo.) As for my apple, it was not sliced at all, but left whole and "wrapped" in a to-go container. It's not a huge deal, but once you start seeing one thing off, you start noticing other things, too...so it was just little "surprise" not sticking to the menu description. I also ordered the cucumber and poppy seed salad, which was quite tasty once I got plastic utensils from a competitor. The manager also had a chicken breast wrap, which he liked quite a bit. So....food wise, pretty decent and/or good. Service wise ... that girl on the phone needs to know how to deal with people. We later met a couple other employees from there a couple hours later who confirmed that girl does get rude, so it wasn't just our imagination. Going with just an Ok here. I havent explored too much of the menu but so far so good. So I'll give it a 4.. should be a 3 though but I'm feeling generous. The level of customer service is great but the whole seating thing is kind of odd but works. I've only had the chicken sandwich off the lunch menu, which was pathetic and pretty much all bread. The chicken was bone dry too. The next thing were the peri-peri wings (12) which were GREAT. The wings are a good size and grilled, not fried. Twelve is a perfect amount. Loved them. The choice of sauces is great and their "hot" is actually hot. Hot enough so you know you're eating something spicy but not that hot to where you'll break a sweat. There are also other sauces out that you can pick up in case you want to doctor your food up a bit. The place is clean but note the bathrooms are unisex (if that matters to you). If you come here a lot they also have a loyalty stamp card program so be sure to pick one up. I'll certainly be coming back. read more

Food is pretty good but piss poor customer services practices. I called 30 minutes before they closed and the lady put me on hold so that they would close before my order would be taken. I held for 15 minutes then walked there with my headphones on, still on hold (I was at a nearby hotel). There was no one in the store and the person who had me on hold was sitting at a table chit chatting with a co-worker. It was now 15 minutes before closing and I asked if I could order. Fun fast-food casual restaurant hybrid. Very spacious and open-window layout inside the Hyatt Place. Reasonable prices to inexpensive if you order wisely. The entrees themselves are plentifully sized. Paleo, vegetarian, and all-american dieters alike can be well-served here. The customer service is a notch up compared to peer restaurants with this low of prices and without having to order at the table--e.g. refills of drinks at your table, multiple folks checking in on you, etc. The staff also seemed much more happy to work there and spirited than their competitors. The chicken flavors were delightful, moist chicken, and unlike other chicken-centric restaurants the sides, vegetables, and accompaniments were fresh, diverse, and well-done. We particularly enjoyed being able to order some olives, roasted nuts, and custard pies. Warning: the hot and super hot are just that -- be prepared. I personally enjoyed the hot version and felt it added to the flavor quite well and for reference enjoy "thai hot" and near hot to hottest flavors at most generic chicken wing institutions. That being said, the chicken wings weren't too crispy-skinned here, and I don't think I'd order them again or re-emphasize the wings being crispier to the order staff.
