On our first night at the resort in Princeville, Kauai, we decided to ease into vacation mode with some food and drinks at Nanea Restaurant & Bar, located right on the property. We grabbed seats at the bar and were greeted right away by the bartender, who was attentive and friendly. To start, we shared the Brussels sprouts, and for the main dish we split the shrimp carbonara, which turned out to be the star of the evening--creamy, flavorful, and perfectly satisfying. For drinks, Miori ordered a hazy IPA on tap, while I went with a Cadillac margarita. Both were excellent choices that paired well with the food. When it was time to wrap up, paying by card was quick and easy, and we left a tip before heading out. Between the great service, tasty food, and laid-back atmosphere, it was the perfect way to kick off a few days in paradise.

The restaurant reopened for business on Mother's Day after a renovation. We took advantage of HH from M-F 2p-4p. Saving $3 off selected cocktails and $6 for certain beers. As the restaurant just reopened it had a certain industrial odor. Thank goodness for the openness facing the ocean. We had dinner on our last night. Great service. Ordered - * hubby had the rib eye steak * daughter & I both had the glazed pork chop bone in. Great presentation and our food well seasoned. The local honey used on food & beverage grown by the mixologist Chris. He's very friendly and approachable. His honey is sold at the market located onsite. Overall a nice dining experience with live music at dinner time. Located at Westin Princeville.

Food was just average, service was good and ambiance was quiet and relaxed. If you're staying at the Westin, the draw is certainly convenience to drive anywhere. But the menu felt lacking and just average. Nachos poke and the chips that came other entree sides were stale and oily. Quesadilla with kalua pork was overwhelming. Papaya salad was pretty good - light and refreshing if you are not super hungry. They do have kids meals as well - fish (surprisingly flavorful) plate was preferred over the steak (too chewy/dry). They do have a Prime Rib special (comes with salad and dessert) on Mondays as well.

Lovely views of the Ocean and well groomed resort. Menu a bit limited though food is well prepared don't expect gourmet elegance in the food but it is OK. Staff is pleasant and attentive yet at peaks times there could a couple more on the dining floor. Easy if you're staying on property. Good to provide a view of the resort given the food options in the Primceville area it is certainly worth a visit. Lunch might be the best time given menu options

We ended our trip here for dinner. The view is casual, yet absolutely stunning at sunset. It was an amazing meal, we tried just about everything on the menu. Our server was a delight and so sweet. She let us accommodate the sides to our dinners which was great. You have the option to order all day happy hour during dinner for a fun tropical drink. I'd recommend literally anything. We loved it all.

What's better than dining at the resort you're vacationing at? Tanning all day, adding a few drinks, then heading back to shower before your 7 PM reservation! Yay! I'm usually not a fan of resort restaurants, but Nanea was a solid choice. The menu isn't my favorite overall, only because I'm not big on pork and short ribs, but they had a fresh catch of Mahi Mahi--Bingo! I'm in. Our party of 8 ordered a mix of everything, from starters to burgers, and when the food arrived, it all looked so good! My Mahi Mahi? Delicate, fresh, and melt-in-your-mouth good. My daughter's wagyu burger was also a hit. Everyone at the table was happy with their meals. And just when I thought the night couldn't get better, my little resort cat--who had been visiting our villa--showed up at our table. We named her Kukua, and the staff said she and several other cats try to visit. They shushed the cat out so quick! So all you cat haters, be happy. I would've been happier to dine with my feral friend. Next up! Dessert! We ordered all four options: pineapple sorbet, coconut cake, ube cheesecake, and hazelnut crème brûlée. Because life is too short to skip dessert! Each one was amazing in its own way, and we had zero regrets. Our server (maybe Brian? Will?) was awesome--attentive, friendly, and made the night even better. Big thanks to him! Not the best wine menu, but they do offer some fun drink concoctions! But if you like plain drinks like me, then stick to your go-to drink. I stuck with my gin and tonic splash of sprite extra lime ....it was goood! If you're staying at the resort and want a great meal without the hassle of driving anywhere, Nanea is the way to go. Good food, great vibes, and the perfect stumble-back-to-your-villa experience when you're full and buzzed. Aloha & Mahalo!

We enjoyed a nice dinner here. It's a restaurant in a hotel where there aren't a lot of dining options. We wanted to walk to dinner and the next closest place is a mile away. There is seating inside and outside. Prices aren't insane. We had the fish and chips and fish tacos. It was the same fish for both, it was a good texture and a good portion. The fries are REALLY good, but hardly any dishes come with them. It's a $4 up charge, but they are really good. The service was good. Our server was around just enough. They close promptly at 7:45 PM which is annoying. The bar had a big rush at 7:40, they'll keep serving whoever is already in the restaurant, but they shut the doors to the restaurant at 7:45. This seems too early, but it is Kauai, not Oahu.

Walked over to Westin's Nanea Restaurant a couple of weeks ago for an early dinner. First off, if you are looking to really get in to vacay mode, skip the mai tai and hit the Thai Chi!! Holy vacation mode...this will definitely get you there QUICK!! Service is always friendly, just understaffed like most of Kauai. So order your cocktail and settle in for a chill experience. If you are in a hurry (why?!) then, let your waitstaff know up front. Not saying this will help, but at least they will know why your vibe is fired up. ‍ Today we started with the lettuce wraps. An absolutely MUST!! Then I had the Hawaiian Plate ( i was craving this!!) and my daughter ordered the seafood curry (first time trying). Hawaiian plate was on point!! And that seafood curry is so ono... OMG so happy we had leftovers!! Usually i would get their signature ube cheesecake, but today i had the ube colada. Beautiful and delish!! In short, wonderful food...slow down and enjoy people watching with really strong drinks!!

Well Me And My CoWorkers Decided To Have A Kate Dinner Last January 22,2025 @ 7:16 P.M. In Nanea Restaurant & Bar. As We Were Accomodated And Waited To Be Seated. The Staff Were Very Friendly And There Was A Live Performer That Really Set The Mood For The Dinner. As We Decided To Order The Surf & Turf Order For 3 Persons And A Hawaiian Plate For The 4th Person. The Food Overall Was Very And Fullfilling That Hits The Spot. What Makes The Staff Amazing Is It Was Almost Closing Time But Have Decided To Order Coffee But The Coffee Bar Was Already What Happen Was Napua Our Server Went To Get Starbucks Just To Accomodate my request That I Felt So Privillage And did not hesitate to walk a mile just get my request.

Good service. Food is ok. Convenient but expensive place to dine if you are too lazy to go elsewhere. The ambiance is classic open air setting at the resort with decent views of the pools and ocean in the far distance. There's usually live music to bring it all together.

Lettuce wraps were very tasty and refreshing.

Wow! So sad we waited so long to try this place during our stay in Hanalei…read more Let's just rate it already. 10/10. Absolutely amazing. Good was some of the best I've ever had. The Churro French Toast is life changing. Full order can easily feed 3-4 people. Crispy, sweet, yet soft and tasty inside. Best description is a combination of a churro, mixed with a cinnamon roll, mixed with a donut. Would highly recommend. They offer a half portion too which is great for 2 people to share. The breakfast burritos are legit. Massive, tasty, delicious, and filling. About the same size and width as a 32oz Yeti bottle. Ordered the veggie burrito with bacon and the Smoked Pork burrito. Loved both. Tots, veggies, cheese, meat, all loaded. Even the salsas were 10/10. Seating is limited, maybe enough for 8-10 people total to sit inside, but they take to go orders and you can walk 5 minutes to Hanalei beach and eat by the ocean. TLDR - Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely delicious and such a beautiful experience!…read more We had the Garlic Shrimp and the Churros French Toast, and both were incredible! Let me tell you the garlic shrimp was amazing! The shrimp was cooked to perfection: juicy, tender, and coated in the most delicious garlic sauce. Every bite was so flavorful! The Churros French Toast was actually one of the reasons we came here because it's so popular, and it absolutely did not disappoint! It looks like it would be super sweet, but surprisingly, it's not. It's perfectly crunchy on the outside, moist in the middle, and just the right amount of sweetness. So delicious! And to top it all off, you get to enjoy this fantastic food with a beautiful Kauai view. Overall, such a wonderful experience. If you're visiting Kauai, I highly recommend putting Wake Up Delicious on your list you won't be disappointed!

Every time I'm there, they manage to stay calm, composed, and professional even when things get busy, while still making every guest feel welcomed and taken care of. Aleah, Hiílanií, Branden, and Kyle each bring such a warm, inviting personality to the experience. They're attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Fun spot once you find it; getting there…read moretakes you through part of the hotel, which is a nice way to see a bit more of the property. Food was good, but the menu is overpriced and overly fancy for what's essentially a poolside restaurant. The host experience is what knocked this down to 3 stars. We showed up about 5 minutes before opening with nobody else waiting. The hostess offered to put us on the waitlist, with no explanation: no mention that they were fully booked, or that they could work us in. When I pushed back a bit, she said she could seat us at 5:30, when they opened, literally 4 minutes later, and suggested we grab a drink at the bar across the pool area first. Just telling us "we're opening in a few minutes, hang tight" would've gone a long way. Food's solid, but the whole interaction felt unnecessarily complicated and unwelcoming.

How is it that I have never reviewed my favorite Sushi Bar on and off island? Yikes!…read more I'm fortunate to live on island and make every opportunity to get my sushi fix here. This place has the freshest and most well prepared sushi, sashimi and "omakase" (chefs choice original roll). The flavors pop pop pop with every chew. Amazing! Some of my favorites are the scallop sashimi (incredibly fresh every time), chili hamachi, uni (sea urchin-not for everyone) and always omakase roll or two. Also, if artichoke is in season I like the steamed one, a cup of chowder always hits the spot, pretty killer tempura, really great fish and chips and I know I'm missing a bunch of stuff but now I'm salivating and need to wrap this review up so I can drive over.
