Yesterday I purchased eight brownies for over $30 from this bakery for a birthday celebration at work. At that price point, I expected something fresh, rich, and worthy of being brought to a group. What I got instead were stale, dry brownies that tasted like they had been sitting out for days. It was honestly embarrassing to serve them. They were noticeably old and completely underwhelming, especially for a bakery that positions itself as a premium spot. If you're charging luxury prices, the product needs to match. Freshness should be the absolute bare minimum, and unfortunately, that wasn't even close here. I won't be returning, and I definitely wouldn't recommend this place for anything you're bringing to an event.

Out the gate, I love that they give other local small businesses an opportunity to shine and generate revenue. If you follow The Baker's Grove on social media, you see that they post pictures of these beautiful pastries and pastry cakes weekly. If that's not enough to get you in your car and over to their bakery, I don't know what is. Not only are the pastries beautiful, they are delicious! They make a coconut cream doughnut that I am currently addicted to. Their key lime tart is delicious. One thing I will say is that if you get anything chocolate of theirs, make sure you're a true chocolate lover. I got a slice of the s'mores tart for myself and a slice of chocolate cake for my mom and one thing we agreed on is that both treats were very, very rich. On top of all this deliciousness, the service is usually friendly and efficient. Even with a line, they get you in and out swiftly. I got "tiramisu" slices the other day and it was just a vanilla sheet cake with vanilla cream layered and a cocoa powder dusting. I could tell from looking at it in the case that it wasn't lady fingers but I thought atleast the cake might be soaked in espresso. There was indeed no espresso in it and it just tasted like a vanilla cake with cocoa powder. I still stand by thenm and would recommend people to go there, just don't get the "tiramisu"
