Nantucket Grill is located in the Falls River Town Center, and this specific location has been open since 2010. The shopping center offers plenty of parking, and the restaurant features a large outdoor dining area, a bar, and indoor seating. I believe they also have at least one private room available. Note that since my last review, their hours have changed -- they are no longer open for weekday lunch, only dinner. Once again, I visited with a large party, and the staff did a wonderful job seating us in the back of the dining area, away from other guests, so we had our own space. The service was top-notch; the staff kept our drinks filled, managed all of our complex orders seamlessly, and flawlessly handled the extra challenge of organizing a massive order of to-go cakes for our group at the end of the night. Nantucket Grill features an extensive menu with reasonable prices for the portions you receive, offering sandwiches, burgers, salads, and steaks. While I have previously ordered their excellent Maine Lobster Roll, I wanted to try something different on this visit, so I opted for the filet mignon paired with a baked sweet potato. My filet was cooked perfectly and was a very good cut of meat. While it wasn't quite at the elite level of the high-end steaks you get at The Peddler, Angus Barn, or Winstons Grill, it was an incredible value at around $35 compared to their $50+ price points. It is also a massive step up from a chain like Outback, where the filet can end up tasting more like a standard sirloin. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite -- leaving absolutely nothing to bring home! The sweet potato was also excellent and came served with brown sugar. For dessert, I had hoped to snag a slice of their German chocolate cake, but unfortunately, it wasn't in the bakery rotation that night. Was invited to celebrate a 70th birthday party with friends on June 27, 2026. The atmosphere was pleasant, and our waitress, Lulu, was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the meal was very disappointing. When you hear the name "Nantucket," you expect outstanding seafood. I ordered the crab cakes, but they fell far short of that expectation. The outside breading had a burnt taste, the inside was brown with a stringy texture, and there was no sign of fresh lump crab meat. The asparagus was bland, underseasoned, and served without butter. My husband ordered the fried cod and scallops, and he wasn't impressed either. Overall, the food didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation. Next time, we'll stick with the NC Seafood Restaurant at the Farmer's Market for fresh, hot seafood. read more

Went here for my birthday dinner, it was ok. Just ok. My Malibu rum drink was very good, the crab dip was very good. The entrees were just average. I got the baked scallops and I wouldn't order it again. My daughter ordered the salmon fettuccine and it was just not good, the salmon seemed a tiny bit underdone and the sauce was so soupy that it was quite literally splattering everywhere (like all over her shirt!). Service was not great, our server seemed new and quite overwhelmed so we gave her a lot of grace and still tipped well. Her area got very busy. Ambiance was fine, casual atmosphere as always. Went here for Father's Day. Let me start by saying our waiter was sooo good. However, I got the spicy seafood pasta, which I normally get, I think they changed the recipe. It was so many stewed tomatoes in it and no seasoning. My husband got the fish and shrimp, the cod had absolutely no seasoning. It use to be one of our favorite places to attend Saturday nights and during the week, but we were just lied to and our group of 14 and we decided to mentions to our neighbors and Church of the treatment at the North Raleigh location. We were told that their policy requires a deposit of $100, we have been going there for over 6 years and never was told of this policy. Firstly, this location allows reservations and the process from booking with Meredith and ordering a cake for a party of 18 was successful, smooth and seamless. Private room with a tv was a hit for watching the game! The star of the show on the day of our party was Summer, our waitress! She was so amazing. Patient, informative, friendly, great personality, prompt, and overall made our experience and my boyfriend's birthday a major success. We were visiting friends in Raleigh from NY and they made reservations for us at Nantucket Grill. We were seated at a nice table inside and our drink orders were taken quickly. I had ordered a cucumber/basil Moscow Mule but she said they were out of basil. Others ordered wine and beer. I decided to stick with water. We gave our appetizer order of calamari along with the drink order. The calamari came out quickly and was tender, fresh and delicious. About a half hour later she comes over with my cucumber basil drink, they found basil! At this point I no longer wanted it but I took it, it was refreshing . We ordered two of their twin lobster tail specials , one prime rib special and their baked scallops I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the lobster tails They were sweet and delicious. My husband said his scallops were also flavorful. The prime rib looked great too. Our friends were very happy with their entrees . The sides that came along with the entrees were also generous and delicious too! Our server was friendly and competent. Only issue was we ordered bread that never came. First and Last Visit to Nantucket Grill! We visited Nantucket Grill to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired -- especially regarding accessibility and consistency. Accessibility Issues: The first red flag was the lack of a ramp at the main entrance. My father uses a walker, and he struggled to get up the steps. When I asked the hostess, she mentioned the ramp was at a side entrance, which made no sense -- especially considering the designated disabled parking is right by the main entrance. This setup forces those with mobility challenges to go out of their way, either through the patio or around the building, to enter the restaurant. On our way out, the same steps were blocked by parked cars and crowded with people and patio seating, making it even more difficult and unsafe for my dad to exit. Service: The bright spot of our visit was our server, Bella. She was friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our meal, and truly one of the few positives from our evening. Food: Appetizer: The Nantucket Nachos with vegetarian chili were surprisingly good -- maybe it was hunger, maybe they're just that tasty. Entrees: The Grilled Beef Kabob was tender with perfectly cooked veggies, but the herb rice was overcooked. The two bacon cheeseburgers were hit-or-miss -- one was perfect, the other undercooked and served to the wrong person. The grilled chicken sandwich was fine, and the sides were average -- greasy onion rings, okay fries and slaw. The beef chili was a disappointment, served cold. Dessert: I had pre-ordered the salted caramel cake, and while it's hyped by many, I personally found it far too sweet with overly thick icing. If you prefer something less sugary, this may not be for you. Final Thoughts: Checkout was smooth, and again, Bella's service stood out. However, between the accessibility issues, inconsistent food, and an underwhelming dessert (hence the two stars), I don't see myself returning to Nantucket Grill -- unless it's just to be served by Bella again. read more

My sweet Auntie and a couple of friends took me here to celebrate my birthday. A Saturday afternoon in October about 3p. We walked right in and were immediately seated next to a large party of maybe 10. They were finishing up and chatting. Our waitress soon came to take our drink orders. She was very pleasant and professional...but friendly. Service was great and the food was delicious. Everything arrived at the table as requested, plated with care, warm and fresh. We were pleased with our meals and the service. Now dessert...I had a huge piece of lemon delight cake and it was scrumptious! Our waitress brought it out with a lit candle and sang a little birthday song as the table near us joined in and me...I danced of course because it's what you do on your birthday! I went to Nantucket today and my server was named Summer. The level of customer service that she provided was top tier. Summer was energetic, attentive, and took pride in the work she was doing as a waitress. Summer got all of our orders correct and we were a LARGE group. She smiled and was extremely personable as well. Summer was also attentive to detail. One of the serve team members was helping her bring out appetizers and she came over to each of our tables and check to make sure things looked good and even got one of our apps remade due to it being burnt looking- without us even asking. I highly recommend anyone going to this location to ask to be seated with Summer. She is amazing and I wish nothing but good things for her. She would make a great trainer for others because she does her job excellently. She made my experience great at Nantucket today. The food was pretty good but it was great because of her service. Alone on a random cold January night. Popped into the Nantucket on way home to take advantage of their half-price appetizer and a toddy. Sat at the bar and was tended to quickly by the very personable bar keep. My cosmo was perfect. Can't say the same for the crab dip. Too much dip and very little crab. Went here for a family dinner, the service was great. The server was very friendly and checked on us often. I ordered the lobster and it tasted pretty good. The food here has been delectable every time but I finally made it to taking photos without diving head first lol on a late Saturday afternoon is a pretty chill time to go here. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. He was very kind and helpful. Now the crab dip, didn't last 5 mins. Of course I ran out of the dip before the pita. I tried the Blossom rum punch which tasted like juice and made me feel like I was back on a trip in a Caribbean. The stuffed shrimp with crab was bursting with flavor and they did not go too light on the crab so I'm glad. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the risotto melted in my mouth. The Nantucket Grill is very good. The restaurant is only minutes away from our house. The Nantucket makes really good cake which they sell by the slice. So we order cakes from the restaurant for special occasions. Commercial bakeries like supermarkets usually miss the mark. If you go there, you will see people coming in to get their cakes for birthdays and anniversaries. The rest of the menu is very good, but we go for the cakes most often. read more

Food: Great selection of food. Every thing I ordered was very satisfactory. I was extremely impressed with the steak. I ordered it to be cooked medium, and that is EXACTLY what I got. It was so tender and juicy. The Mashed Potatoes were also very delicious. I was expecting more chunks of crab in the dip and some chunks of lobster in the bisque, HOWEVER, they were both still very delicious. I packed up every last crumb, of everything that I didn't finish, in a to-go box, as it was all too good to just leave behind. Service: I have only been here once, but I'm willing to bet I got the BEST server they have in there. Adam (like the first man) had such a calming and friendly demeanor. He always let me know what to expect next, so as to never leave me wondering if he forgot about me or if i was going to have to flag him down for something (example: "Since you need time to think, I will put in your order for your appetizer, then I will return with both your appetizer & drink, and then I will take your order for your main entree"). Honestly best service I have had in a LONGGGGGG time. I made sure to tip accordingly to my AMAZING experience. Met a friend for dinner and arrived before 6 pm in order to take advantage of the half price appetizers. The food was great and the server was very friendly. My only reason for the 3 star rating is after paid the $110 bill plus a large tip, I noticed I was charged full price for one of the appetizers and I asked the server to adjust the bill. She brought back a receipt with the adjustment and stated I'd see the change in my account in a few days. Well, the change never came so it appears they provided me with a false receipt and never actually made the adjustment. You got me that time Nantucket but if ever go back I'll definitely pay closer attention to the bill before paying. read more

My friends and I stopped in after a great workout on Sunday so we were really hungry and Nantucket Grill did not disappoint! The clam chowder had a great flavor and thick consistency. The side Caesar salad paired nicely and the mimosa added a fun kick. The service was also great and we were seated almost immediately walking in. Our waitress gave us great recommendations and my friends who tried the wings really enjoyed those. The reason I am giving four instead of five stars is because the women's restrooms were a little gross at the time. Very solid spot near UNC. We were here as a team and they always have great food for us to eat. We had a smaller set menu to choose from but all of the options were well liked. Servers were all dressed nice and pleasant to us. The vibe is a bit odd because they have nice table settings but then make you walk up to the soda machine by the kitchen for refills. There is also an amazing cake display when you walk in, so it gives a bit of a diner vibe. However, their menu is a mix of diner food and high class food. I assume this makes it good for whole families with kids. I got the stuffed tilapia which was delicious. I highly recommend trying this place out for nicer food in a relaxed setting. My first but definitely not my last visit. The food was delicious. I ordered the Cajun Ribeye, it was seasoned very well. My salad was so large and good that I was not able to eat all of my steak. I ordered the strawberry cake, it was light and not too sweet excellent. Our server Katie was very pleasant, friendly, professional and had a great memory as she served our party of 30. I applaud Nantucket for hiring her, she will do this business well in making customers want to return requesting her as a Server. I'd recommend this restaurant if you're in the triangle area. I only got to try this place because my friend picked up cake, crab dip, and clam chowder for us to eat and just from those 3 dishes I am SUPER impressed and anxious to go back here and actually order some entrees. The clam chowder was the best I've ever had. And the crab dip is the best I've ever had as well! Service was awful. Server placed plate on table and pushed as far as his arm could go and we had to get it to the person. We ordered cake, it came but no forks. When we asked for them, he seemed bothered. He had removed the dinner forks so I suppose we were to eat with our hand!! Finished empty plates sat on the table the entire time. Drink orders wrong. It was only seven of us at a round table with plenty of room for him to walk, just lazy and non attentive. I emailed this restaurant 3 times and called once. Spoke with a said manager, who ?took my name and number. I sit here one month later with no response. Disappointing. Food was all over the spectrum. Some great (bisque was excellent), some very disappointing (Chilean sea bass was dry, and tasteless), but the service was flat out AWFUL. Our waiter would stand milling about at the wait station, totally ignoring our table. Drinks took forever, not because the bar was behind, but our waiter was not on top of it. I finally went to the bar after waiting for 10 minutes, and our drinks were all sitting there at the end of the bar getting warm, our waiter just never picked them up. Bartender finally brought them himself. Slice of cake looked NOTHING like the slices displayed in the entrance, it was significantly smaller. But the icing on the cake was, since we had 6 people at our table they added a 20% tip automatically to our check. I found a manager and refused to pay normal gratuity for a waiter who had provided service WELL BELOW normal. Fortunately they took off the automatic 20%, but not without some push-back.
