I pointed out they messed up in the most polite way possible. Instead of saying "sorry, our mistake," Amanda basically agreed they were unprofessional then gaslit us by cutting us off. The real problem: They're overpriced and they know you have nowhere else to go. That's why they can treat longtime customers like garbage and get away with it. Save your money and your sanity - find literally any other option.

She, perhaps, imagined the simplicity of a Main Street mom-and-pop florist who would put together some nice tabletop arrangements and be on their merry way. It's true, Dawn Kelly is so much more than that (although I would argue not necessarily cost-wise). And, yes, you need her! I fancy myself an artist of sorts (don't we all?). Dawn was patient and BRILLIANT at interpreting the nonsense that spewed from my mouth about Dutch Masters and English gardens (seriously who am I and why did someone even want to marry me?). She not only developed beautiful concepts based on my ideas and helped shape my thoughts into a true VISION, she did so in an organized, straightforward fashion with pricing that ended up being extraordinarily accurate. No surprises in the end; just stunningly perfect flowers and decor. She truly designs decor for your event that goes beyond flowers down to tabletop details like taper candles, unique and eclectic vases, etc. She looks to be economical for you when it makes sense and works well. For example, she suggested we repurpose our aisle arrangements from the church on the tables during our cocktail hour. Her details -- like corsages and boutonnières -- were unique and helped to better define our wedding and set it apart from the rest. She is a key reason our wedding captured elements of who we really are, and she delivered above and beyond, all for what we felt was reasonably pricing. If you are hosting a wedding or major event on Nantucket, I could not recommend Dawn more highly.

Every item we paid for was of extremely poor quality and aesthetic. Dawn told me that she was going to have to specially import a type of hydrangea, because the color I wanted was out of season and it would be significantly more expensive~ I understood this, and agreed. The "specially imported" and "expensive" hydrangea that was actually used in my flower arrangements was a REGULAR white hydrangea that she SPRAY PAINTED hot pink (my wedding color). You should also know that I'm a floral designer~regular white hydrangeas do not need to be imported and spray paint does not make a flower a "special and expensive import". My bridal bouquet cost $350.00 and the bridesmaids bouquets cost $95.00 each and somehow, my bouquet was the tiniest of all the bouquets. The flowers in my bouquet were supposed to be "premium" blooms, but there were literally 4 premium flowers in my bouquet. Half of the flowers were dead and should have never been used. The bouquet's wraps had staples hanging out of them. The corsages were literally falling apart before the ceremony even began. We actually had to scotch tape them together :( The boutonnieres each had a bunch of loops when we specifically said "no loops". After the wedding we tried to contact Dawn to talk about our concerns and 3 weeks later, she still has not returned our phone calls or emails. My mom even stopped by her shop and left a note for her to please follow up with us. Apparently, she doesn't care about providing any level of customer service once she has her money. If I could give zero stars I would.

Upon arrival to our beach house, we realized we would need kitchen towels. After simply emailing Martha's they responded right away that they could easily drop them off to us! So easy and convenient. All of the linens and towels were very clean, white, stain free and all bed linen and bath towels sets were individually wrapped in plastic in addition to being placed in a plastic bag! Our only gripe was that the beach towels left a white fuzz all over our bodies. We will definitely use Martha's Linens again and recommend to our friends.

I began by looking for a catering service that was generally organic, farm to table concepts ~ which is what The Kitchen Porch is all about ! Over several weeks of planning done through emails and phone calls I was pleased to work out details for our event with wonderful suggestions from Jan as the owner, directly. The hardest part became making a selection from all the delectable options available. I found it easy to work with them to accommodate our needs based on budget and what fit the occasion. She was able to modify the menu in any way that would be needed such as to balance elderly guests, mixed with younger guests, vegetarians as well as meat eaters, as well as deliveries, set-up and all the details involved along the way. When the day of the event arrived, we found everything went seamlessly, the staff had everything set up in a beautiful presentation, with the food delivered throughout the reception in a well balanced manner, every time a new tray was presented there was a new delightful tasty nibble offered, every bit as yummy as the last. The balance of food was perfect, we did not run out of anything, and everyone found something they liked. We were not left with a "heavy" food "overload" feeling, but with light fresh foods, and refreshing drinks which included cucumber mint flavored water and a light fruit punch.
