She still managed to keep a light and fun attitude and her beautiful smile. We also met other local patrons at the bar, a lovely couple who were so friendly. The dining room is nice and has the look and feel you expect from a steakhouse. Our server was fast, friendly and attentive. The food was great as well. My favorite has always been the boneless short ribs. My wife is happy that the Gnocchi and Steak Tips is back on the menu. (It had disappeared a few years ago, but might have come back a while ago for all we know) My daughter loved her wings and the clam chowder. The only issue was that I called ahead for reservations and indicated it was our anniversary, which they noted over the phone. When we arrived I explained we had a reservation, which the hostess either didn't understand or seemed to brush off because there was plenty of seating. This translated to our server not being aware we were there for any specific occasion. We did overhear the hostess tell our server she forgot to mention something similar about another table who had a birthday on their reservation. They were able to catch that one in time and gave them the birthday treatment. Ultimately, it's not a huge issue and we still had a nice time, but the extra acknowledgement of it being our anniversary would have pushed it over the top. Everything was delicious but prices are on the slightly pricey side. For example, my salad with the chicken was $35. It wasn't a large salad either, like some places have. At least I was full. I know it's a steakhouse but it's not giving "upscale steakhouse". The waitress had a "shadow". They were both very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back but maybe on a cooler day.

The bartender was super friendly, and we chatted for a while about life on Bethel Island, real estate, and local events. It was a good conversation, and just added to the appeal of this locals bar and grill. It has plenty of character, and plenty of elbow room inside, and out on their back patio. It turns out they need it for all the nights where they have live music, which seems to happen frequently.
