I love the atmosphere and the drinks but today's brunch was a huge no no... i had the chiliquiles and it was a hard pass, nothing was seasoned including the eggs, chiliquiles were dry and had nothing special but yet they charged $22 for them. Worst Chiliquiles that I've ever had... Staff was friendly and they always are but disappointed about the food especially given the prices that they charge. We recently dined at Vic Stewart's with a group of eight, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience that lived up to the restaurant's classic steakhouse reputation. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and comfortable. From the photos alone you can get a sense of the warm wood tones, wine displays, and well-spaced tables--and that spacing really matters. Even with a good-sized crowd in the dining room, we never felt cramped or crowded, which made conversation easy for a larger group. We started with the bread basket, which included pretzel bread that was genuinely delightful--warm, soft inside, and a great way to kick things off. I shared a wedge salad with my partner, and it was excellent: crisp, fresh, and well balanced rather than over-dressed. For the main course, I shared the porterhouse steak. It was a generous cut, very tender, and cooked beautifully--exactly what you'd hope for from a classic steakhouse. My partner split the beef stroganoff with another member of our party, and they both enjoyed it. Several others at the table either ordered their own entrées or split plates, and the staff was very accommodating about that, which we appreciated. We brought our own wine, and the corkage experience was handled smoothly. The staff even offered us a choice between two different decanters, which was a nice, thoughtful touch that added to the experience rather than feeling transactional. Service overall was attentive and professional, especially given the size of our group. There is an automatic gratuity for parties of eight or more, which was clearly handled and expected. A couple of smaller but notable details: the restrooms were clean and well maintained, and the soap was an aromatherapy soap--an unexpected but pleasant detail. Also, while the menu is extensive and clearly leans into classic steakhouse offerings, we weren't really able to view it properly on the website ahead of time due to what seemed like a technical issue. I made a reservation at Vic Stewart's even though they aren't typically busy during the week at 5 pm. I was celebrating my son's birthday. We arrived before our reservation time and had to wait approximately 10 minutes to be seated. They tried to seat us right by the kitchen and nearly the entire restaurant was available, specifically there were 4 other open booths for seating. I asked for a booster or highchair for my son, and the host said she would check for one. She never came back. I guess she was struggling to stay on track because she was training a new host. Our waiter was slightly better and a bit more polite. He recommended a special, but several minutes after ordering he informed us that they didn't have the special, but that we could be up charged for a similar steak cut. I agreed to the up charge for the Béarnaise crab topping. When my steak arrived the Béarnaise crab did not. I had to wait for my waiter to stop by to address the issue. It eventually arrived and there was small bits of crab floating in a clarified butter Béarnaise with under cooked asparagus pieces. It was not that great. Luckily my steak was cooked properly. The scalloped potatoes were bland. Certain bites had almost no flavor. My mom enjoyed her baked potato and the creamed spinach. My son liked his shoestring fries, but overall the experience was lacking. The table and settings were clean, but I was only one additional booth away from the kitchen traffic. read more

I've been here twice. Once for a Sign Paint Night ($55 or so) and once for the Bonzai Brunch ($49). The first time there were 4 of us and our server was so busy it was hard to get his attention and he forgot to put in one of our entrees. Ok maybe a fluke, it happens. The second time there were 3 of us and our server must have had tables inside as well because we didn't see her often. I asked 3 times for water and it never came. My breakfast was 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, and a piece of toast and it was $18 and I believe also the least expensive thing on the menu. When the bill came gratuity was already included. For 3 people! And I could event get water but she got a $22 tip. I gave a pass on the first time. No longer dining here or booking any of the classes. read more

This is more like a 3.5 star review based on the food, but the waitress was awesome, her name was Audrey I believe. We sat in the bar area for happy hour, which was really like 1 dollar off beer and wine, and no food deals. I wish I took pictures but we were on a double date and I didn't want my Yelp review to get in the way of our good time. We had potstickers and the lobster bisque for starters. The potstickers were plated nice and were good, but I felt the like portion did not match the price. The bisque was ok, I prefer mine with lobster chunks in it, this did not. As far as entrees we got the French dip, steak sandwich and some BBQ chef mix plate. The sandwiches were good, but definitely needed sauces in the side, the Au Jus was VERY good. The BBQ mix plate looked really good, and looked good for the price too. I didn't eat the Mac and cheese but it wasn't a crowd favorite even though it looked good. The scalloped potatoes were ok but a bit cold. The best part was the cream Spinach. Creamy and seasoned. Warm and very delicious. The service was terrible. Our waitress came once to check on us. Now, I don't eat pork so we did ask for it without bacon. This drastically reduces the expected flavor as the saltiness of the pork is missing from each bite. However, it's 2025 people....have a turkey bacon bits option as an alternative. Do something creative, I don't know. Overall, my brother, Mother and I stopped in randomly and sat down for two appetizers but it was a waste of money. Ambiance felt like a 90's Sizzler. Omg this place is delicious! I was craving burger with bacon for my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend and everyone recommended this restaurant to us. We got there and made a reservation and the place was very clean and cute. There are multiple seating areas and a bar that is on the right when you first enter. The seating area where we sat had a cute fire in the middle of the room and green shrubs on the ceiling with lights super cute date vibes. The waitress was amazing and so sweet! Shout out to Yami! she fit the spooky October vibe. We got our gourmet filet mignon burger it had bacon and cheddar cheese. It was plated with peperoncini peppers and lettuce tomatoes and pickles so you can put what ever toppings you like. We were told there are different items you can get at the bar and this was one of those orders. We also ordered the onion rings and garlic fries. They were also up to a high standard and delicious with their dipping sauce. We had great service and our server brought us a special dessert for our anniversary it was a chocolate mousse with strawberries and it was so cute delicious and thoughtful. Ok, so I've eaten at this establishment many of times. So for me, this is a bothersome review. So today is Father's Day. Service is solid, ambiance is great. We had a ok meal, but a few issues. 1) The biggest issue for me are the kids meals. $15 for butter noodles (pictured). The price is outrageous. Macaroni noodles are cheap. Not expensive at all. Restaurants get them for under $1. For this to be $15 is beyond ridiculous. My other kid had macaroni and cheese. That is $17 for a kids portion Mac. These dishes should be no more than $6 or $7 at most. Especially with the little effort they put into it. If you ever want to know good kids Mac and cheese, go to Garlic City Cafe in Gilroy where it is only $7. The kids Mac and cheese is so good, i order it for myself. The kids meals are horrible and OVERPRICED. How is it that Calamari is $2 more than the kids Mac and cheese? Whoever scaled the pricing needs to re-adjust and quick. 2) The Calamari portion size shrunk and it went up in price. $19 for that little small portion is crazy! 3) the halibut for $49 was subpar. It was overcooked, they mistook flavor for salt. I'm a very good cook and the way the chefs cooked the halibut was extremely lazy. Out of at least 10 times of me having this restaurant, this is the first time I'm leaving feeling like I didn't have a good dining experience. I am actually feeling like i want to go to another restaurant to make up for the failure in food I've had today. It seems like my problem is pricing, but for me....if these prices are going to be what they are, the quality must reflect said prices. $17 kids Mac and cheese should be full of flavor and great quality.
