Yeah, NEVER coming back here again. F this place, I walk in looking for a wheel lock removal tool that Napa makes. Common tool. It's their brand. Walk in, dude greats me in Spanish. Apparently this Napa is in Tijuana! I speak Spanish well (I'm mexican) BUT not enough to describe what I need in Spanish, so I ask him in English. "Looking for a wheel lock removal socket". Dude stares at me like it's not his job to sell parts. He grunts a little and says "oh..." stares at his computer, looks at me and says "we don't have that" in broken English, doesn't even try to look up a part. I look at the other Mexican next to him "do you know what I'm talking about?" He types in stuff in the keyboard and says "oh no. We don't have that". So I say "okay, let me google the p/n for you. Look, here it is, on your Napa website. $13" He stares at my phone, types in something and says "oh, we don't have that. No one has it anymore." "So they don't make it or you have to order if?" "It's special order. 2 days" "How much?" "$23 and there is a freight charge of $18" "Why is there a freight charge? It's a freaken 1/2" drive socket. They shit can fit in my pocket" "I don't know.".... Freaken useless people, I hate when the employees act like they are doing you a favor when you walk in. First and foremost, George on the phone was very courteous and professional, even though he takes hundreds of calls a day! It was a pleasure speaking with him! Napa had the best price out of 5 auto parts places shopped. I had an oil leak and had to replace the camshaft seals, timing belt, and water pump. I ordered for pick up and it was ready in a day. The cashiers were a riot, laughing and telling jokes with me while I waited for someone to bring out my parts. Be careful though, he almost didn't give me everything. I had to double-check the parts list before I left, and the guy had forgotten one box. Overall, this was a very good experience! Time will tell to see how these aftermarket parts hold up in my car... 3 weeks later: The mechanic said the seals were trash so he replaced it with ones he had. However, I still have a small leak so it's still tbd if these parts are the problem.... Another 3 weeks later: My trusty mechanic/owner Alex from Value Auto Repair took another look and no more oil leaks! read more

If they can't find something you just might find a way to your prayers - leads... This was not my latest "ask" rather I needed rubber vacuum and fuel line - yep, stuck on a cargo ship, go figure... Nothing anyone could do. SURE I COULD'VE ORDERED IT ONLINE but, what happens when our "brick and mortar" local stores are gone and you want "thing number one and thing number two..." and you want it now? Got a 66' convertible Mercury Cyclone I'm massaging into submission that's been garaged and needed some love - basic stuff, rubber. This is a very small auto supply store, but they have pretty much everything you're looking for and its a known name. At least when I come here I've always found what I needed. You can usually get customer service fairly quick because they seem to have enough staff on hand. It's about a block away from the 5 freeway and close to the main arteries of Broadway and L Street. First time ever in a Napa Auto Parts store and I came in quickly for a crank shaft sensor and that's it. The sensor came out to about $28, but before I paid, I asked the guy, "Is there a discount for a first time customer?" He looked at me and said, "uhm...let me take a look." Now, I don't know if there is a discount for a first time buyer or he gave me his discount but with tax I got the sensor for less than $21. I liked this Napa location because it wasn't packed, it's spacious, unlike Auto Zone where everything is all cramped together and the service was great and friendly. read more

Wow , it's really sad to know that NAPA could hire people for customer service & think that it's ok when these employees are just a huge deficit to the NAPA name or do they know they have employees behind the counter that dont care if we as customers ever return or tell all our friends about this really substandard effort & lack of care for there customer base ?? I called in to ask for a part for my Buick Regal, the Napa associate told me that the part I was looking for was not the problem. He told me his name was Oscar and said if I wanted to I can bring my car in and he would have a look. I asked them if he was sure, that it wouldn't be an issue and he said Yeah it's fine. I drove from downtown Chula Vista to this location only to find out that Oscar had left already and had relayed the message to anyone that I was on my way. I was pretty annoyed by the miscommunication already and still not one of them had asked me if maybe they can help. Customer service needs improvement so does their communication. Don't come here unless you already know what you need. If you can find it else where, do so. Wasted my time and gas. read more

As soon as I got up to the counter one of the first questions I was asked was if I was a AAA or military member. That let me know immediately that they want to make sure I am getting any discount I am entitled to. I told the associate what I needed and was helped quickly and in and out right away. The sales associate was even nice enough to help me bring all my parts to the car. I had a lot to spend in the store but the service I received was so great I didn't even think too much about it. Last night I sat down and reserved online about $560 worth of parts. It said some were not in stock and that I had to go into the store and find out when they would be in. When I arrived at the store about 3 pm the guy at the counter looked at me like I was crazy. He acted like he had never heard of reserving parts online. I showed him the email and the reservation number, that the web site said I should give the clerk and he said that number is no good, I can't do anything with that. When he finally found the order he spent the next 5 minutes deleting lines that he said weren't needed, then he finally started looking to see what was in stock. I knew that almost nothing in my order was in stock and just wanted to know when it could be in. He then proceeded to tell me that several parts were in Ontario and that I would have to pay UPS shipping to get them to the store. Then he told me that the final piece would have to be ordered from the manufacturer and that would be at least a week. So I finally just cancelled the order because I don't think that I should have to pay UPS rates on an order of over $500. I should have known better than to go to NAPA. I have been in the auto repair business for over 15 years and they are the worst source in the business. You never know what type of parts you will be getting or who is making them this year. But I thought they are one of the biggest and will be the easiest to get the parts from, but i was definitely wrong on that one. I learned again what I already knew, don't go to NAPA, their service is terrible and they really just don't care to help you. read more

One of THE BEST service reps work here. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Paul at this Napa location was by far the nicest guy I've spoken to. I normally get snubbed by being a female who does not know a lot about cars let alone parts, but he explained everything in detail w/ patience and even gave me tips on how to keep my windshield wiper blades last longer!!! I went in needing parts for a Toyota Prius and was turned down by a couple different NAPA stores on availability. I am a little upset about an experience at O'Reilly Auto Parts with Brake shoes, so I thought I would give Napa a thumbs up for product quality, product knowledge and dependability. Complete review: My husband normally purchases Napa Brake Shoes but on this occasion Napa was out of stock and he went to O'Reilly Auto Parts at 1396 3rd Ave Chula Vista on 9/29/18. The Brake shoes cracked on 12/11/18 on the freeway, fortunately no one was hurt. (These shoes were installed by a long time trusted certified mechanic.) Upon returning the shoes at the store on 2472 Roll Dr San Diego, he was told it was a mechanic installation error and was charged for new shoes. And on top of that he had to return to a 3rd store to purchase Wheel Cylinders separately (after being assured that the cylinders were in the Drum ProKit he had also purchased.) Needless to say this has been a dangerous and expensive purchase. If I had known this before hand I would have made my husband take a store credit and gone back to Napa for the shoes. I don't feel these shoes from O'Reilly are safe or dependable. I am also upset about the cost of having the truck towed and also the cost of having to turn the drums and the cost of e-installing brake shoes! I do not recommend O'Reilly Auto Parts. read more
