Local family owned, no hassles, no large ticket pricing. A few tips if you're coming here: They open at 8am, come early! Easiest route- go North on Western Ave. Walk in... tell they what work you need done on you car, give Make and Model of your car and get on repair list. When you are called, go get your car and pull into service garage. They will come and tell you what they noticed during diagnostic tests and inspection. They will show and explain to you the repairs. You will be told the cost with local taxes, so you know what to pay. Once done, they'll pull your car out and, after you pay CASH ONLY, you're good to go! Not only did they get the car in, the waited until I returned to take me to our car and show me the brake pads and rotors indicating that they will need to be done within 5k miles. There was no hard sell. Just an FYI. I've since been back for new tires, a tweak on body bushings, and this past week AC recharge along with another oil change and tire rotation. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff. They aren't offended when I do my own brakes, oil changes or tire rotations. As it sits now due to a major injury to my leg ive been unable to do any of that on my own. And they don't hose me on the work. I'm Happy to have found a shop and mechanics I can trust. I understand car sales can be demanding, but the energy when I first walked in felt a bit unwelcoming. My salesman, 'Rodney', was very straightforward but also personable and funny, which made the process more comfortable. I did notice a shift in energy once it became clear that I was serious about making a purchase. The Sales Manager was also very pleasant to work with. Nothing but good things to say about both individuals. While I know my deal may not have been the absolute best possible, I'm still satisfied with my purchase and happy with my overall experience. I really wanted to give 5 stars, but I'm giving 4 because of a separate experience involving a family member. Shortly after my visit, they went in to look at cars and left feeling belittled by a different salesman (Bill). They're younger, and this would have been their first major "grown-up" purchase. That kind of experience can really discourage someone, and it was disappointing to hear that were treated that way. Kevin from the Service department was also very nice when I went in for my recall services. I would recommend this dealer to other friends and family - and to request 'Rodney'!

I recommended my sister-in-law to McCarthy Ford in which she purchased and brand new 2023 Bronco Sport from the other Dan. I was promised by the staff a $100 referral but never received it. I called Kelly numerous of times and gave him the address to send the referral bonus to but it was never sent. It's been over two years going on three and I no longer do business with McCarthy Ford for the simple fact that they promised something and never fulfilled their promise. Monroy's is your local shop, located in a blue collar Chicago neighborhood. You won't find fast talking salesy mechanics who are trying to sell you services you don't need. To have my front and rear brake pads replaced, Jose quoted $130 total for labor ($65 for the front and $65 for the rear). Jose said the new rotors that I purchased and had installed with the first mechanic were fine and recommended I keep those on the car. I arrived to the shop 30 minutes before 9am on a weekday to ensure I was the first car serviced. The work took about an hour and a half as Jose and his team got to work right away. For parts, I purchased the pads at the next door A1 Truck and Auto Supply which has been in business for over 60 years. It was nice to be able to pay for the parts myself and not be charged an additional margin which is common from dealers and local mechanic shops. If you're able to trek to Monroy's and are okay with a shop that isn't flashy or has a formal waiting area, visit Monroy's and ask for the owner Jose.
