Unfortunately there's one young guy who is ridiculous about recycling oil. Twice I've encountered this employee when trying to recycle oil (which I purchased there). The first time I was told they were full and can't take any oil. I think it was the smile and pleasure he took in denying me? Today he asked if it was pure oil. As an honest person I said there's a small amount of diesel (maybe a cup) in the twelve courts as I drained a bit from my fuel filter housing. I was promptly told he couldn't take it as it's contaminated! For goodness sake that is ridiculous! It's a cup of diesel and I should not have said anything. He then lecturers me about a $10k fine etc. I explained to him that trace amounts of fuel is common in crankcase oil to which I got a lecture about how my engine must have a problem. Almost 900k miles original. As a former engineering superintendent of an oil spill response fleet in Prince William Sound I think I may know a bit more, but that's beside the point. The total lack of listening and immediate negativity just pissed me off. I have no idea what this employees level of education is and maybe he's dealt with people giving him horrible mixes of contaminated oil. I'm not that guy. The simplistic mindset and attitude just irritated me. I'll just do my business elsewhere from now as I don't appreciate lectures especially after spending hundreds of dollars over the years at O'Reilly's the Teton Valley and here. I'm just trying to be responsible and recycle. I've NEVER had an issue doing so for decades. A cup of diesel in twelve quarts of oil does NOT disqualify the sample for recycling per WA State guidelines. See below. Defining used oil What is used oil? Used oil is any oil refined from crude oil-- or any synthetic oil--that's contaminated by physical or chemical impurities due to its use. 10 These materials may qualify as used oil when spent: * Transmission fluid * Gear oil * Power steering Other oil materials may define as used oil if not contaminated with dangerous waste, such as: * Used oil recovered from ship bilge water or wastewater from an oil/water separator. * Used oil recovered from containers holding water and used oil. * Metal cutting fluids without chlorinated compounds. * Free-flowing oil recovered from oil titers, rags, and absorbents. Used oit residuals removed from a collection container and tank. * Mixtures of used oil with small amounts of fuel products like kerosene, diesel, gasoline, or jet fuel that were drained from fuel filters. So she tell me itll be there by 1045am, im outdside waiting for the shuttle "parts truck" to get at 1056am shes comes outside to tell that they dont actually have the part now and its gotta come from bellingham and i can pick it up in the morning. I took 2 buses to get there so i had to leave my dog in my broken truck because i cant bring her on the bus and it now 3 1/2 hours longer then i was supposed to be gone, its getting hot outside "windows are down a little" and i have no part to fix my truck and i live 3 hours away in south pierce county... Hate to dump a one star review but this store doesn't deserve anything else…read more Called ahead before driving up from the south end of the island at night to get a VERY expensive headlanp replacement for my wife's Cayenne. They are readily available at most parts stores. They said they had it in stock and gave me a quote on two different quality levels. So I drove up there and they said that they show one but it must be in the totes delivered from their warehouse that they were too lazy to put away all day. The first guy that helped me was friendly and positive but an idiot. He then told me he was new. BUT he took the time to start looking through the totes for me enthusiastically before he realized there were too many to look through. The other two employees stood there in an empty store looking at me and the computer instead of helping their go worker. They asked me how far I would drive tonight to get one??? Omg. This was the laziest and worst prepared group of employees I've seen in a long time to be responsible for a major chain store of inventory. Do not rely on this Autozone! I just ordered the same Phillips brand lamp as I have originally from Germany for $70 less on Amazon that will be at my door by tomorrow night.

If I could give more then 5 stars I would…read more Wednesday night I went to drive home to enjoy my day off Thursday at home, knowing my alternator was giving me trouble. I planned to fix it. But i only made as far as 5 miles down the highway south of mt Vernon. I got my car towed to anacortes automotive. After hours and left a voice mail. I came in at opening and explained the symptoms and what work was recently down. They fit my car into the schedule the next day. My battery still under warranty, at Les Schwab, needed to be replaced. And they took the time to goto Les schwab and get a replacement battery and fix my car that day sonic was ready for pick up when I was off work at the refinery. They went above and beyond. I highly highly recommend Anacortes automotive.

Our mechanic was well-trained, professional, and was able to winkle out the problem with our engine in good time. They do the work you need, and don't try to 'gild the lily' or pad their labor time. THE THORNS: Hourly rate is steepish, but I suspect it's in line with what comparable yards are charging. Most importantly, they DO make the most of each hour they charge for, so you are getting good value for money. THE VERDICT: Considering that there's probably not that much competition here, they really have the opportunity to take advantage of people if they wanted to. The point is they don't! These guys are straight shooters, and you can have them work on your boat with confidence. Highly recommend.
