One of the female employees came out yelling at us to move our car and not park here and to move our car to the lot next door. Sold me a BAD camshaft position sensor but wouldn't give me any $ for the $175 diagnostic fee I had to pay a shop to tell me I had a BAD sensor. Shop elsewhere if you want parts that work. I have been to this store on three different times I have left this store pissed all three times .I have ordered parts only to get half my order telling me I have pay a shipping charge if I want the rest of what I ordered. And the workers here think their shit don't stink they are arrogant and as far I'm concerned they wouldn't give you the time of day if you asked .I think somebody from ownership should give this store a look at a see how the customer is treated here . I have order a part there and had to get the part replaced and I couldn't find my receipt so I was told they needed a receipt to replace the part they couldn't even take the time to look up the part in my name anything to try to help not happening . Every time I go to Napa on Churn Creek the service is the best and everyone is so helpful. Since I've lived here it's my husband and my go-to place. My husband has always found the parts we needed quickly and if they have to order anything it comes fast. I cannot count the times we have been in a jam with our cars and we run in frantically and they have the parts and service to get us running. I had my battery tested on Friday at another auto shop and they told me it tested as Good. It still wouldn't start so I thought it was the alternator. Napa tested my alternator on a Saturday morning and it tested good. Then they tested the battery and it tested a bad cell. They had the battery for my Ford and helped me put it in and I was on the road in minutes! So thankful for them and I recommend them to everyone. read more

I came in for a part, a small part, and not something that was going to profit this business by much. I proceeded to the back of the store to the counter where 2 gentlemen were greeting me. I asked for the part and one clerk retrieved it. He told me the cost and I agreed to pay for it. After doing so, I was surprised that he ASKED ME IF I'D LIKE HIM TO INSTALL IT. Woah! That was nice! I could have done it myself, but it sure was nice to have someone who knew what they were doing assist me. Now that's what I call great service! read more

My battery died in the parking lot next to this location. I went in and the staff was helpful and knowledgable of the issues. They walked back and forth to my car twice to make sure the battery was the correct model for my vehicle. They loaned me tools to install the new battery and were very friendly. I would recommend this location for your auto parts when you are in Redding. read more

Had a red top optima $150 plus, battery go bad after two years. Went back to Napa (where I bought it) and I was told I needed a receipt otherwise there would be no warranty. I told them I bought it there and did not know anyone else that even sold them in the area. They basically said TOO BAD. They offered to check it and to my surprise after two hours they reported that the battery had fully charged after giving it a slow trickle type charge. My mood quickly changed from disappointment to relief. I picked up the battery and by the time I got home my charger said it had dropped to 62%. By the next Morning 26%. This battery was Junk and these guys are idiots. Now I know why the parking lot was empty both times I went in. read more

I give the store 3 stars for having the parts that I needed. I agree with Chelsea H. though, that the customer service provided by the cashiers is undesirable. I left the store wondering if it was a "welfare to work" test facility or something of that nature. Providing friendly and helpful customer service should be paramount with any business. Searched for part online. Website said it was available. I called in to confirm before driving from Palo Cedro, the guy helping me said it was available and that he would hold it for me. I go into the store, the same guy I spoke to on the phone now says part is not available. As I was asking about the mixup, the guy literally walks away as I am speaking to him and I hear him mutter something under his breath as he walked away. All I said was, "I thought you said..." then he turned his back and walked away. This is how you treat customers? Real scumbags work here, never going back. It could be as simple as being raised in the South, where the hospitality and warmth is plentiful . A sincere" Hello, Welcome to ....., may I help you ?" would always ring out any time you would enter an establishment . This is NOT the case with NAPA Auto . The cashiers do not greet you or ask if you need assistance . You might think that someone was having a off day; however we have visited numerous times and it's the same unfriendly atmosphere each time . Auto shops aren't typically known for extra warmth but when you give condescending looks and have a condescending tone because your customers are quite a bit younger it's unacceptable and feels like discrimination . The cashier is the first and last impression . It's important in this day and age to keep genuine customer service a priority no matter what . read more

It is typical service for Redding CA, at a country pace and that's ok. Plus one of the stores has a machine shop where their competitors do not. 98% of the time they will have the part I need or can get it if it is not a dealer item. Unlike Auto Zone never has the parts I need so I have never made a purchase at Auto Zone ever. read more
