Small shop, small town, BIG service. They saved our vacation! This is NOT your typical auto part place. We were driving back from vacation up north when our tire on the trailer blew a flat on a Friday night! Hot and exhausted from a 5 hour drive, we just wanted to get home!!!! Every shop was closed but this mechanic was the only person who agreed to help us! He opened up his shop after hours, didn't charge us a dime extra this inconvenience, fixed our flat and sent us on our way with a smile and a thanks. You don't find people like this anymore, an honest to goodness mechanic willing to help a stranger rather than take advantage of them. read more

I debated on writing a review for many months but felt the need to share my experience. Long story short, they have done my last 3 oil changes with no problems. When I took my vehicle in, it was picked up from my home (small town stuff) and the owner broke my door handle. I wasn't told until later and after the part had been ordered without my consent. Moving on, my vehicle started leaking oil. I was told it was the plug/gasket, etc. they had "fixed" it. I had witnesses telling me how they would use a whole can of god-knows-what to "fix" the problem. I believe I took my vehicle back 3-4 times for them to "fix" it. It continued to leak oil and I was informed the door handle THEY broke was going to cost me the part ($60 something dollars) but they would wave the labor charge. This was coming from what I was told was the owner. I could not believe this. My brother heard about this and called the owner who told him he needed to make this right, that my car was still leaking and the handle was not broken when the car was picked up. The owner hung up on him. My brother called back to tell him that he needs to act like a business owner. The owner informed him that he would pay the whole fee to replace the handle and that he had never told me he would charge me (his story changed). The owner told me that my car was too fragile (the vehicle wasn't even 10 years old and had NEVER had any issues before). He said he would not work on my vehicle again, I told him I was nervous enough for them to "fix" what they had broken and the owner told me he doesn't want to see my car again and that I could take my car somewhere else. NO PROBLEM! My next oil change I was informed that because of Napa Mid Valley over tightening and "fixing" that I would need to replace my whole oil pan. Guess what, it was done and my car no longer leaks. I considered a small claims suite but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. I'm a firm believer in karma. I don't have the time nor money to deal with the stress of someone who would lie about small things let alone in court. If they want to do this to a single mom who works full time, well, I think karma will take care of the rest. I will say this, everyone who worked on my vehicle and I spoke to about the issues were great. The guys were all very nice and polite and I saw first hand everything done was per the bosses orders. The owner clearly tried taking the easy/cheap way out so I do not blame the workers for following orders in fear of their jobs. I had recommended this place before and I now do not. Hopefully this review will help save someone from any issues like myself. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! Update::: I have heard horror stories from neighbors who were physically threatened by the same guy I dealt with. Seems he has a pattern. read more

Had the unfortunate experience of having a blowout on a boat trailer. Drove the boat to Napa Mid-Valley and they immediately got to work. Got all four tires at replaced at a decent price and quickly. While waiting the owner helped me fix another issue at no charge other than the part. Great experience and nice people. read more

I broke down on the freeway and had car towed to nearest garage. long story short I paid $3,800 for a new transmission and when they installed it they did not put dowels in flywheel and the flywheel failed after a few months. Had it towed to a garage closer to my home and that I have used before. They have stated this in writing and I have filed a complaint with California Automotive Bureau and they have a report that I need to subpena at small claims. Marvin Burgess, the owner, said he is not responsible for the $1,700 it costed to fix his workmanship error and I am going to loose in court and I will see you in court. These guys are true highway angels; America's finest. Driving south from Washington State, a nasty rattling started in a rear tire area. We called AAA who gave me Mid-Valley Auto's contact info. On 10 minutes' notice, they took us in. No fuss. Three guys ran out to meet us at the street. One drove the car round the block. Another got our info and logged the car into the schedule. The third, seeing that all was well in hand, returned to his work. Fortunately, the issue was simple. More fortunately, these honest, trustworthy fellows performed a mud-flap-ectomy, explained what happened, what they did, smiled and sent us on our way. Within 25 minutes, we were back on the road with a very fair charge and a warm 'Godspeed.' If you need an auto repair, large or small, this is my best recommendation! While we were driving from Seattle to San Francisco; the service belt of our Mercedes Benz C300 somehow got shredded and it was about to break apart completely. It was a Saturday and everywhere we called, including Mercedes of Sacramento, told us to they couldn't look at it until Monday. Someone at the gas station told us to try Napa in Williams, we called and talked to Marvin the owner, he was very knowledgeable and got our car fixed up within 3 hours. Marvin had 2 mechanics worked on our car and even sent one of his crew to Sacramento to pick up some parts they didn't stock. Given it was a Saturday, nobody could help us not even Mercedes roadside assistance, we were in the middle of nowhere and they dropped everything just to work on our vehicle truly deserves a 5 star review. read more

My wife and I were returning from a Holiday visit to Fort Bragg on the day after New Years when a spring broke on our 5th wheel on Route 20 about ten miles west of Williams. As fortune would have it, we were steered by locals to Marvin in the repair shop at this Napa store. Within about 30 minutes we followed Marvin's son, John, out to our trailer where he diagnosed the problem. Not having the appropriate parts on his truck, we waited with our trailer while John returned to town for a new spring. The repair was completed within three hours of our having requested service, and we were safely on our way back to Sacramento. When the event occurred, we had no idea what was its cause. All we knew was that we were suddenly emitting a cloud of grey smoke from the rear of our rig. Upon inspection it was apparent that the rear axle had shifted and the tire was rubbing against the leading tire on the front axle. Sensing this to require my trailer being towed, I set out in search of someone to haul my trailer into Williams on a flatbed. Fortunately, I was steered to Marvin's store, who is equipped to perform all sorts of in-field repairs. This saved me the frightful cost of a tow and allowed me to return my trailer to storage five minutes before it closed for the day. Thank goodness for Napa Mid-Valley and its wonderful service crew, and particularly for Marvin and John. read more

Could not pay for a $2 item with my debit card for some reason the owner explain that it cost him money for a small transaction then blamed his wife. Luckily I had five bucks (I don't carry cash just Debit Card) although I paid about $30+ on oil and anti freeze a few seconds before and had forgotten to buy a funnel. read more

These guys came to our rescue last night on the 5. Our travel trailer blew a tire, and we did not have a spare. We called and within a short while (Monday night of Labor Day weekend) John shows up with all the tools, and 2 spare tires, and does the complete fix on the side of the highway. My truck blew a spark plug clean out of the motor 175 miles from home at 5pm. I was towed to Mid Valley auto, in Williams Ca, The owners son, John, came out and opened the shop at 7pm.
