I complained and said this was cheaply done, it needs to be stitched to the welt and done properly. Her response was pretty much "too bad". I took two pair of Jeffry Campbell boots there to have them stretched. I got a call when they were ready. I tried them on and my R foot was good but my L foot needed a bit more on both boots! This winter, I needed two pairs of boots repaired. The first was a pair of high-quality, knee-high Frye leather boots (Melissa Button Boots, around $375) with a hole in the sole and a fraying heel, and the second was a cheap pair of Topshop Chelsea booties ($65) that the sole had fallen off of. When I dropped them off, I explained what I wanted, and the very sweet woman behind the counter seemed to know exactly what I needed, despite a minor language barrier. Ultimately, we agreed to replace the heels of the Topshop booties, and the heels and soles of the Frye boots. When they were ready, Napa Shoe Repair called me to come and pick them up. The most difficulty I had with the shop was not being able to find their hours posted anywhere! I waited about two weeks for an opportunity to leave work early, but finally I just gave them a call and they said they'd be at the shop until 7pm that night. I was able to come by after work, and picked up the boots. They were beautifully mended, and even polished! The soles and heels are in great condition-- high quality job on both pairs. The total was $105, which is more than fair. I will absolutely return to Napa Shoe Repair for my boot-related needs in the future. Two notes: 1. When I picked up my boots, I got a business card that had their hours printed on it: 9am-5:30pm Monday - Thursday, and 9am-4pm on Friday. Closed on weekends. However, if you need to: call ahead to see if there's a chance that they'll be staying open late! (or not open at all, as the case may be) 2. Bring cash to pay-- they do not accept credit cards. Brought my shoes in to what I thought might be having to cut the sling elastic on the heel but she came up with a plan for me of inserts and found one foot bigger than the other and adjusted each shoe to perfection cutting nothing on the shoe.
