We have a home out in Carneros on the river so very rural. We have very few issues for being out in the country the last 7 years. If anything does go wrong and internet is slow we call them up and they are on it. We are always shocked when they answer at home in the evenings even. Can't say enough good things about their service. We feel they are always there for you. read more

I needed a reliable, high speed internet provider that had good support and boy did Napanet deliver!!! It is such a relief that I finally have a good internet service provider. The Napanet staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable AND patient. I could have went with a package 100+ Megs download but the owner was honest enough to let me know I could go with a lower package to be more practical and cost-efficient. I have been using napanet for a few months now and am so happy with the 70 Megs download package I have for my household. My kids and myself are very happy to be able to stream, game, work, etc.. If I ever do need anything, Peyton has been so gracious and quick to find me a solution. Nothing beats local businesses in Napa! read more

Remember dial-up? I had internet from NapaNet back in the day when using the internet meant interference with one's ground line. If you were trying to call someone's phone (no, NOT a cellphone or iPhone, but a phone with buttons, or spinning the dial), you couldn't reach them (or vice versa) if either of you were on the internet. With NapaNet, I got slow internet&equally sloooow service. With the introduction of WiFi, NapaNet looks retro (tho not in a good, hipster, ironic way) When I had them install internet at my house at the time, they were slow.... and when I asked for help.... well, good luck. They seemed confused about the internet, tho they had ONE JOB. Interesting trivia- There's a telephone museum exhibiting now obsolete tech in Roseville. If you're feeling more adventurous, there are telephone museums in Edmonton, Alberta and Warner, New Hampshire. If you're into that kind of thing, or up for that kind of drive. read more

I've been using this internet company for years and have had the best service since day one. I switched over from AT&T and would NEVER look back. The Napanet team is awesome to say the least. I have fast high speed internet AND fast customer service responses. They are friendly and patient with me, considering I'm a little older tech can be complicated for me. We live in Carneros, so internet options are limited. We have had NAPANET for years. We have had very little issues.

Customer service is very poor. Emailing will get okay responses, but follow up in no bueno. They don't give a heads up about technicians coming out and/or potential service interruption, changes in technical info, loss of functionality, etc etc etc. On the upside, they are clearing out old employees and are working with a company that does a great job. Overall this is a service you need to skip unless you want a headache. We have been dealing with issues for several months now and have lost numerous sales as a result. P.S. Thee WORST internet provider out there.. Sad but true. Can never get ahold of them, not worth $60 a month. Slow internet even tho they claim it's the fastest one they have.. Napanet eraced a few thousand of my emails and continues to do so daily. They only allow 450 emails on my and their server at one time. I constantly have to move emails that I want for more than 2days. The owner will not take my phone calls nor will he return them. You may be next. I'm out of there. read more

Napanet internet service goes from slow to no. It's very inconsistent, actually I take that back. It's consistently slow. My dialup back in 1998 was faster. Just opening any webpage takes a long time. If we are trying to watch a movie, forget it. Sometimes it will surprise us and we will be able to get through an entire film, but most of the time, a film streaming on Netflix will stop every couple of minutes and buffer. Most of the time I get so frustrated that I go downtown to the public library for internet access. read more

Slow and unreliable. The most inconsistent internet service I have used. I have tried several different routers like they suggested, even one they supplied. The Ping/DL/UL speeds are decent at 4am-7am then anything after that it goes to crap. My current upload speed(6pm) is 20Kb/s first test and the second test was 15Kb/s. The latest test has a ping of 500ms with spikes up to 2000ms. I might as well go back to dial up. read more

A complete waist of time! After several unsuccessful emails and phone calls (span of two weeks worth) to set up a site survey I decided asking a friend and current Napa Net customer if there was some sort of 'secret' way to get ahold of them. He ended up calling customer suport and soon after we finally received a call. We set up a date and time. Monday 10:30am (going on 3rd week now) At 11:45am Monday I received a call asking if possible to reschedule for Thursday due to the "many emergencies" they were expierencing. I completely understood after all we did just have an earthquake. I asked what time I should expect him and got "Ill have to get back to you on that." Thursday we received a call at 10:05am enforming me that they will be showing up at 11:00am. Less than an hour notice arrival time? Right.. This point my husband and I new we wouldn't be connected. After a 3 minute 'site survey' they enformed us the reason is due to the satellite not being able to see its tower "clearly". (internet service provided through line of site). So the satellite was able see the tower but not "clearly". Ok? Side note- Internet service hasent been restored to my friend yet. read more

I hate to give this place a bad review. I so desperately want to give it a good one. After all, it's the most affordable internet service in Napa, and some what reliable. The issue for me was that I paid for a specific speed, the upgraded fastest line they had and paid extra for it, and they were never able to deliver even the minimum speed. I called them several times to explain that while I should be getting up to 3 megabits (minimum), i'm actually getting 1 megabit per second (Equivalent to 128 Kilobytes). I now have a service with AT&T for their 6 Megabit line and i'm downloading upwards of 500-600 Kilobytes. That's not exactly 6 megabits, but it's close! Their tech department is much to be desired. It's usually one or two guys that are genuine people trying to help you out, but they're probably only allowed to bleed bandwidth in your direction, judging by the 2 accounts I held there which felt as if a dribble of internet had been directed towards me. The best thing they have going for them is the girl who you usually encounter if you walk in at the desk or call in on phone. She's always professional and polite. read more

After having continual problems with AT&T, we switched to NapaNet. They have been most reliable and are always responsive and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about the personal interactions we have had. After some problems with the recent storms, they immediately replied and got us running again! read more

I'm moving to a new house in Napa where I need internet set up, and I like to support local businesses so I called NapaNet to set up a site survey appointment, but they no-showed the appointment we had set up. I didn't hear anything from them so a couple days later I called and left a message telling them no one had showed up for my first appointment and could I please reschedule? And I still never heard back!!!! I guess they don't need any more clients. read more
