Has been consistently awesome each time I've been. Pricey but good food, great beer selection and cool atmosphere inside and on patio.

Just had my first of what will undoubtedly be many meals at Napolean's. Less than two weeks open, and they already have their act together. The place was lively and bustling without being noisy. I saw families walk in but did not feel like I was out of place with my adult company. Two appetizers were perfect (fries with peanut sauce and lamb "cheeks"); three entrees were superb: risotto, ravioli and the potroast. I appreciated that the wine list included organic choices in each category (so I was able to enjoy a glass without triggering a migraine-a rarity for me dining out these days). The look is great . The service superb. One of the handful of places that I will return to regularly-it feels that right. read more

I've been a frequent patron of this restaurant for several years. This past week the owners completely changed their menu and hired a new chef. BIG MISTAKE! I had the salmon BLT. it was extremely dry and flavorless. We had to ask for mayonnaise as a way to give it some flavor and reduce the dryness. The bacon on the sandwich was pretty goo, but all else was a total flop. Also, they eliminated several of their most popular dishes. Their pot roast is gone, as well as their Thai Bowl Salmon dish. They were delicious, extremely popular and they were removed. A SHAME! Folks at my table weren't the only ones disappointed...the table next to us gave negative feedback to the manager, and I noticed several dishes being sent back or not eaten. I'm all for trying new things, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Bring back the other menu and I'll be back. Otherwise, there are much better places where I can spend my hard-earned cash. read more

I enjoyed their tacos very much. They had a interesting menu to choose from. I would not drive across town to eat or hang there but if you live close by it is a awesome place to hang out or grab some food. They have a patio it's not covered but still good to chill on. Service has been good the past three times I've gone. I tried their mojito which I do not think was very tasty. It was almost all syrup. As for food I've only tried the tacos but they are good enough to continue eating each time I go. I did try some fries there that you dip in peanut curry sauce those were tasty too. This place is worth a try if you are going low key or looking for a local place close by for drinks. read more

Good food, cloth napkins, nice atmosphere, service a little slipshod. Today I went for Sunday brunch and the Bloody Mary was absolutely perfect, but the server brought my coffee to the table and left it there with no spoon, no cream or sweetener, and took forever to come back to the table. When I wanted a coffee refill I kept having to ask another server because I couldn't find mine. The Black Forest Ham Benedict was also delicious and I will be back. read more

This place is just ok...I think it is so crowded because it is convenient to people in the area. My mother was there last night and noticed a ROACH in her friend's salad bowl (her friend had already finished most of the salad). The general manager's response: "We've never had this happen here before." Guess what, general manager? When someone finds a roach in their food, it doesn't matter if it's happened before or not...it's happening now...you should have apologized profusely read more

My husband and I love this place. It's dark, cozy, and there is usually live music. I wouldn't suggest going late night on the weekends... The older oak grove crowd gets a little wild. But before 9pm is wonderful. They have great drinks and the food is fantastic. We have never had bad service unless it's been ridiculously busy. Great food and friendly attentive servers. We went for a private event for our daughters school and it was fantastic. The food tasted great, drinks were tasty. I loved the pot roast sliders. Vista Room was open for the band and it was a nice space, large bar, convenient bathrooms. We will be back. read more

We came with a large group and despite not taking reservation, Eric the manager took great care of us. He set us up in a big table in the back that was perfect for our loud group- haha. But, best part was our server Sean. We had people coming in and out, arriving at different times and moving around the table- and Sean handled it seamlessly. I made reservations for an office happy hour/birthday celebration for a week night. The service was fantastic for our party of 10. The food was good and the drinks were good as well. When we arrived at 5pm, we were the only ones there, but the patio quickly picked up and soon all the seats were filled. We'll definitely be back. read more

Been to Napoleons about 4 times now and have enjoyed myself each visit. The menu is diverse as you would expect from a gastropub and the menu items that i have tried have been delicious to the point that my taste buds were pretty upset with me for not having experienced such flavor combinations before. I've eaten here several times and sometimes the food is great, other times items like the pot roast you can tell was definitely not fresh. Atmosphere is good and staff always very friendly and helpful with menu selections! I will be going back but it's not a destination spot for me, I could take it or leave it. read more

I ordered the Scottish Salmon on Jasmine Rice with broccolli. Blah, boring and a bit salty. Nice patio for outdoor dining though.

Love the wings - smoked especially. Always a great and interesting beer selection. I also like the shrimp and andouille sausage quesadilla. I think the tastiest thing on the menu is the short rib tacos - exceptional option!! The patio is phenomenal when the weather cooperates. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal. My daughter and I split our food and we loved the shrimp Po Boy and the hamburger with pimento cheese and bacon. We ordered the pimento cheese fritters for our appetizer. They were delicious but for $8.99 they should have given us more than 4 fritters; one per person. read more

Love this place. Great location, great atmosphere, great food. So far I have been 3 times. The first time we visited on a Friday evening. The place was packed, however, we did not have to wait too long to be seated. The waitress was very nice and welcomed us immediately. I ordered the "Thai Chicken Peanut coconut curry sauce and Asian slaw, cilantro, and Thai basil", Gruby ordered a hamburger. Everything was delicious. I cannot comment on his burger, although he dod not complain. The 2nd time was a ate night visit with some beers at the bar with a friend. The bartender was very nice and encouraged us to try samples of several of the beers they had on tap. We ended up ordering the Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissebeir. The thrd time was this afternoon for lunch wih Gruby and my father. I ordered 2 hotdogs, a chili dog and a "Southern Man". For my side, I chose the red cabbage slaw. The slaw was very unique with a soy sauce taste. All was very tasty. I look forward to returning to try the tacos. overall really a 4.5 star rating, I love this place, but thought my waiter could have been a little more "on the ball". What a complete disappointment last night was! We had tickets to The Vista Room (they were not reserved but we were assured via phone and website that 1/2 the tables were for general admission). We were among the first to arrive, found a table and had a waitress rudely kick us out and say it was reserved though not marked. In reality, ALL the tables were reserved. We didn't appreciate the Bait and Switch but went to Napoleon's for dinner before the show. After more than ONE hour we asked the manager who was annoyed he had to work and send some random food to us. It was cold, not what we ordered and inedible. Our waitress said the events coordinator was there and she would send her over. Instead she returned to say we could email her. Replacing an events coordinator that can neither update a website or take responsibility for her job by talking with customers (she was literally standing 5 feet from us) needs to be replaced. We live in the area and this has always been a go to place for us. Hope both Napoleon's and The Vista Room get it together! Love the concept! Food prior to this has always been great. read more

I've reviewed them before and had a good meal. But the food could taste so much better. It's well presented but not flavorful. The menu is a bit strange and eclectic. I'd like to see them simplify the food, menu, and flavors. Particularly the bowls. They look great but are bland tasting. I love the atmosphere and want to love the food. Just last week we entertained out of town guests at one of our favorites...Napoleons. What an absolute superb dinner and experience. At about 7:30 , Friday we were immediately seated and given an excellent number of choices to scan. My seared Mahi mahi and shrimp ina rich , tasty butter sauce, adorned with sweet potato fries and broccoli, were abolutely outstanding! the other choices, shrimp and grits as well as the grilled grouper sandwich were very hearty helpings and done just right! The service was excellent. Our waitress went so far as to send home a house dessert for the visitors! Above and beyond attempt to do the best possible. We look forward to return soon.....to try some of the other appealing items.....prepared by a super chef! read more

I have some friends that go to Napoleon's somewhat regularly and they kept recommending it to me, so I had some other friends that were looking for a new place, so we went. It is a nice looking place with a decent size patio that looked quite comfortable, being that this place is on a quieter street in a neighborhood. But it was almost 200 degrees outside so we went in. It was a Saturday night and they were quite busy, but we got a table within a few minutes. After the meet and greet a ordered the gauge, a bacon cheeseburger. It showed up within a reasonable amount of time but I knew right away this was going to be a love/hate relationship. The bacon was crossed and soggy and the burger looked overcooked. Everything else looked right, just as I had ordered it, so I straightened out the bacon error so every bite had some bacon in it and dressed it accordingly and took a big bite, I was hungry! It was actually cooked right with a little pink in the middle and it had a nice tiny crunch to the outside! So I was wrong about the appearance, good! And when biting into the bacon, it did not act soggy, and everywhere my teeth went it cut the bacon properly and I didn't end up with a slice of bacon in my lap, like soggy bacon usually does! So I wasn't thrilled when I saw it but I liked it in the end! Since everybody at the table was happy with their food, it seemed to have a heavy local following and my friends like this place, but it had live music in a strange place to have so, I gave it a medium score. I will come back and I may bump it up, but for now, three is good. read more

Okay, so I don't normally take time out to write these posts, but when I do it's because I have been wildly disappointed or wildly impressed. I am here to say that I was wildly impressed by the food at Napoleon's! I got the turkey burger that had the aioli and balsamic onions and Swiss cheese......OMG! That was the best turkey burger I have ever had! I am so serious! The flavors were perfect! The sweetness of the onions was a perfect complement to the freshly ground turkey patty and the Swiss it was just a homerun! I will make a special trip to Napoleon's from Woodstock just for that burger it was just that good! Kudos to our waitress and the chef! Service was impeccable and the food was great! read more

Napoleon's is a great neighborhood bar. They attract a older more upper middle class crowd, so it's great for families. Great music too. Drinks are a little expensive, but otherwise a great place. read more

Service was great! Food was ok...I got the three cheese omelette with tomato and avocado. Seemed like something was missing, wasn't as hearty as other omelette I've had in the past. Turkey sausage was dry. My boyfriend had the Georgia Peach pancakes which were really good. Outdoor seating is available too. read more

I had dinner with friends here on a Monday night a week ago. I ordered a goat cheese and beet salad which the waited touted as an outstanding dish of the house. As I began eating it I realized that the salad had no beets, hardly any goat cheese, and the lettuce was rotten. Disgusting! I sent it back and decided to eat when I got home. A friend ordered a brownie with ice cream to share for dessert. I tried to put my fork through the brownie but it was so stale I felt like I needed a chainsaw. Tried this place for the first time last night. Great option in the Oak Grove neighborhood. The service was fantastic! We really liked some of the things we tried - the smoked wings and creme brûlée were the highlights. Extensive gluten free menu and good knowledge of cross contamination.
