Stopped in here for a sandwich when our original destination was closed. Since it was our first time here, we ordered a variety of steaks (for you outlanders that's a Philly style sandwiches usually composed of thinly sliced meats grilled and served on a long roll with toppings). We ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions, a buffalo chicken cheesesteak with fried onions and a pizza steak. All sandwiches were pretty generous in size and a 1/2 of a sandwich was enough to satisfy. The rolls are very seedy with sesame seeds which I do like but may be off putting for others. Our chicken cheesesteak eater was pleased with the flavor but would have preferred the chicken to not be shaved but more as small pieces as served in some other places. Of course shaved meat is the traditional way and chicken is definitely not traditional for a cheesesteak so to each his own. Service was prompt and polite. read more

My kinda Cheese steak place - it's all about the food. The steak was shaved thin, no gristle, tender. The right amount of Cooper sharp, mushrooms and onions grilled. The seeded roll right on point, crispy flakey crust , soft fluffy inside. We happened to be in the area and wanted to try this place after my husband saw it online. We ordered at the counter. There is actually some seating in here. The two of us shared a cheesesteak. They are $15 which is on the pricier side but the size is pretty big to make it worth it. They come standard with cooper sharp and on a seeded roll which is defintley the style I prefer. These cheesesteaks are OUTSTANDING. Walked in on a Tuesday evening around 6 to place an order and no one was in there. There were a good amount of table to dine in at though. The portion of fries was actually massive which was reassuring considering they were $7.00. I almost didn't order the mozzarella sticks because, again when I saw $9.00 for them, I wanted to know what on earth is making mozzarella sticks $9.00. Well let me tell you what, the mozzarella sticks here are some of the best I've ever had. Who would have thought this place had that as a sleeper item?! The breading on these were full of flavor and so well seasoned. They aren't that plain battered crap you get at other pizza places. These are for sure made in house and I will absolutely be getting these every time I go. Now, the cheesesteak. When I tell you I've had some really wonderful cheesesteaks this last year, this is hands down the best one. The flavor on this steak is just unmatched. The onions alone carry so much depth in flavor and the fact they're so well mixed into the steak, gives every bite what it needs. Oh my, believe the hype. I was a Jim's or Abner's back in the day. Haven't been able to get a great cheesesteak out in DubC for some time. This is the real deal. Came on a blustery day at lunch time and it was crowded but we didn't have long to wait. There are some options to choose from, I chose onions and American cheese to go basic. My friends chose shrooms and provolone. At $15 bucks it is pricey but it's also huge so = two meals in one. Though I don't know if it reheats well cause I ate all of mine at one sitting, it was that good. The roll is seeded and not too crusty, not too soft, just right. The meat is succulent and shredded to melt in your mouth. The cheese was oozing but not to overwhelming and the onions were flavorful without being overwhelming. And the heat was perfect. Their roll supplier has a problem (fire/broken machine, something) so they are using a back up roll. Very good amount of very good meat. Good amount, melt and mix of cheese. They have tasty steaks and nice fresh cut fries for sure. However, as time goes on it seems that the volume of steak in the sandwiches has decreased. It's tiny inside this place too so when it gets busy you're waiting a long time to just take the steak home. Also, when it's busy they simply don't pick up the phone (?) so you have to come to the store to place your order in person then wait up to 45 minutes in a cramped store or outside in the weather for your order! There is no voice mail to order your food when busy so ya gotta show up to order and wait. Waiting 45 minutes for shrinking steaks is increasingly not my bag baby. read more

The cheese steak is a meat bomb. I now have had the 2 best steaks in the last few years and both are from outside Philadelphia. The service was very sweet but it's so busy you'll wait at least 20 mins anytime of the day and much longer prime time. Great seeded roll, chopped ribeye and my favorite Cooper Sharp all melted through. Good caramelized onions. The store is clean. They really only do steaks and fries. Got here a little before 12pm on a Thursday and it was pretty packed! We ordered at the counter right away after realizing everyone inside was just waiting for their food. Took about 40 mins to receive our order which was expected given how popular and new this place is. I expect it will get worse before it gets better in the coming weeks... They do take orders over the phone but they said they cut off phone orders if it gets too busy. So your best bet is to order in person and prepare to hang for a bit!
