Visited Napoli's for the first time today. The wait staff were very professional and attentive, always ensuring the food was good and my beverage was full. The bread was delicious both with the oil and without. The tomato basil soup tasted like tomato crème sauce instead of a tomato basil bisque. The cannelloni was oddly bitter in a way I couldn't put my finger on. But the portions and the prices were phenomenal. The ambiance felt a little soulless; it felt more like a gallery exhibit than a restaurant. But the room was clean as was the bathroom. Stopped in for a Friday evening dinner. We were immediately greeted by the host/server of our table. Order was taken promptly after I finally decided to order one of the specials, Sea Bass entree. Two adult family members and I dined here tonight. Excellent server (Addie)... very attentive and pleasant without being obtrusive. We shared the calamari appetizer (very good) and sea bass (superb), chicken marsala (excellent) and chicken parmigiana (good). Prices were quite reasonable. Too full for dessert! Me and my husband had an amazing lunch here. The service was wonderful, very attentive without being bothersome. I had the Chicken Florentine, the sauce was so creamy and decadent. I wanted to lick it right off the plate. My husband had the shrimp scampi. He said it had a nice lemon flavor. Great balance with the very large shrimp. The bread was great as well. It came with a delicious dipping oil too. The ambiance was very upscale but with a causal vibe. No dress clothes needed. I ate at Napoli's several weeks ago and I am STILL thinking about their dessert so make of that what you will. My husband and I got the Tiramisu and the Crème Brûlée to split and oh my god! The tiramisu was delicious, just the right balance of flavors. The crème brûlée was superb, I have never tasted a better one in my life. read more

Outside of the air conditioning being a little drafty, my meal was absolutely delicious! I had a Caesar salad with chicken, minestrone & wine. The bread and oil with was great. I used to live in the Republica de Panama, where i frequently dined at The Napoli on lasagna and cassatta (desert). Feeling nostalgic, I dropped by Napoli CR. The waitress was one of the best i have ever encountered. Competent and a genuinely nice person. The lukewarm meatball appetizer arrived two minutes after ordering. Sadly, the meatball's flavour was just okay. The tomato soup, served piping hot was excellent as was the basket of bread. The entrée arrived in a ticket time of 16 minutes, a little slow, especially considering the place was nearly empty with only four other tables occupied. When the waitress delivered the lasagna, she warned it was too hot to handle. MInding her advice, I touched the plate. It was indeed scorching hot. Disappointingly, the lasagna noodles were mushy and swimming in grease. I took three bites and put down my fork. I was done. Bland tasting. Not fresh. When I had first talked to the nice waitress, I asked how the lasagna was cooked. She said in an oven. She denied the use of a microwave, claiming the restaurant didn't even own one. This despite the fact the scorching hot bowl of tomato soup, hot-hot-hot lasagna plate and mushy noodles indicated otherwise. By the way, in my experience, mushy noodles is a telltale sign of day old , or days old. After the meal, the waitress asked how everything was. Pointing to the barely touched the lasagna, I pleasantly recited chapter and verse on the failed meal. She nodded, went in the back and shared my bad experience with the manager whose response was to charge me for the luncheon sized portion instead of the dinner portion price. So $11.95 versus $14.95, a $3 discount for an inedible serving. I had ordered the dinner-sized portion instead of the luncheon-size because being a lasagna lover, I had planned on bringing home most of it in a to-go container. I brought home the mushy lasagna and fed it to the neighbor's dog. I hope he doesn't get sick. That's not me being snarky. I say that because the few bites of lasagna i choked down upset my stomach over the next several hours to the point where I had to take an OTC medication. I'm thinking I won't be back any time soon.
