We love Napolis! The manicotti was a staple for me during my pregnancy. We also enjoy the gyro, spaghetti, lasagna, basically everything! I haven't had anything I don't like yet. This is a small Italian restaurant one block off the Main Street. The staff was great and the restaurant was clean. I ordered the lasagna. It was hot and bubbly and tasted okay. Slightly bland. My daughter ordered chicken Alfredo. It was really flavorless. The sauce was a nice consistency but lacked any flavor and the chicken was flavorless as well. I was pleasantly surprised to find a really good Italian restaurant in downtown San Saba. With the revitalization of the downtown area, this is a welcomed addition to the limited restaurants in San Saba. Conveniently located one block south and west of the main intersection of Highway 190 and 16. They started us out with a basket of garlic bread rolls. They were delicious. The menu had a lot of options of Italian food but it's not overwhelming with choices (see photo of menu). I ordered the shrimp scampi and my wife ordered the baked tuscani. Both dishes were very good. My shrimp scampi was prepared in a white wine sauce but wasn't real heavy. I really liked it. I had a bite of the tuscani as well. It was also really good. TIP: You can bring your own bottle of wine for a $5 corking fee. The food is not overpriced The general atmosphere of the restaurant is nothing special. A hodgepodge of tables, chairs, and fluorescent lighting. It does not have the feel of an Italian restaurant nor does it have great ambience. However, the food more than makes up for the lack of Italian decor. Bottom line - Very good Italian food. A welcomed addition to the limited restaurants in San Saba. A must try place. Driving through San Saba for the millionth time to get to Belton and didn't want to stop for a fast food burger. Found this on Yelp and decided to try it out! Wow! Totally exceeded our expectations! My husband had the fish and shrimp and that shrimp was the best we've ever had! I had the manicotti and it was good as well. I'm sure glad one of the wineries in town told us about this restaurant. It's only a block off of historic Wallace Street in a not so historic little strip center but it made for the perfect end of a day of wine tasting and touring the quaint and lovely town of San Saba. I grew up in Miami with a family that owned Italian restaurants so when garlic rolls came out (more olive oil and garlic please) I knew I was in my comfort zone. My veal picccata was excellent as was my wife's eggplant parmigiana. Most importantly the owners are exceptionally friendly and committed to providing an experience that will bring you back. I spent the weekend in San Saba. A quick walk from my hotel took me to this wonderful restaurant. We ordered pizza, salad and spaghetti for a party of four adults. We like to share. What a feast. I have eaten at many Italian Restaurants all over Texas. I wasn't expecting much from a small town restaurant. Boy, I was surprised by what we tasted. It was all excellent. We had enough to take a doggie bag. They even allowed us to bring in our own bottle of wine. The owner even sent us a free artichoke dip. It was cheesy and so good. Total bill was $34. What a deal. Passing through on our way to Fredericksburg and decided to stop for some pizza. This place did not disappoint! A huge plus was also the very wide street out front because we were pulling a travel trailer and it's often difficult to find parking. The food and service were great. Pizza was a good size and provided us with some leftovers the next night. If you're a ranch connoisseur, get some to go because it's heavenly! All around excellent experience. read more

Stopped in for the 1st time for lunch before dental appt. Nice ambience for small town cafe. Ordered Eggplant Parm. Salad and dressing was good and served on plate instead of bowl; yes. Really good bread but no side butter. Marinara was good on al dente spaghetti. **The biggest problem was the under-cooked mooshy eggplant parm. Ate it anyway and told the waitress. Shortly afterwards, mentioned it to my hygienist and she said the same thing from others as well. SO fix the cooking time !! read more
