Felt like the low rating was unjustified so I wanted to share some 5 star experiences! I've had their pizza 3 times since I moved here early March and every single time whether I ask for delivery or pickup it has been fresh, perfectly made, lots of toppings evenly spread and you can just tell it was made with love especially from the 7th street location! I haven't eaten at Napoli's for years, mostly because I usually get pizza and their pizza is not good and very greasy. I wanted to get spaghetti and there aren't many places to get that so I decided to give them another try. Never again. The ordering process was a nightmare. To order online, you have to use their website which looks like it was designed on GeoCities. It's confusing and there are so many unnecessary steps, like having to enter TWO addresses even if you're picking up. The site says that you cannot pay online, that they will call you and take the card over the phone. This is not actually true. They will take payment when you pick it up. But they do call you to confirm the order. Why? If I place the order online, why do I need to talk to someone? I can say that the food was ready when I got there. I wasn't thrilled that the guy at the counter was just wearing his mask around his chin, not covering either his nose or mouth. Oh! And the price. How on Earth is a single serving of spaghetti $15? Can you imagine if I had it delivered and there was a delivery fee and a tip? To be fair, I got the spaghetti supreme and the regular spaghetti was only $10. The food quality was not great. Tasteless pasta. And MUSHROOMS! There were almost more mushrooms than sauce. The description on the website DID NOT include mushrooms so what I ordered was barely edible. At least the sauce had some flavor to it. One of the meatballs was cold inside. I would have given two stars but the mushroom thing was unacceptable. I really tried to support a local business here but it's a pain to order, it's more than double the cost of a Chipotle bowl, and the food is just not good. read more

Well, after 40 years of using Napoli's, I'm afraid we have come to the end of our relationship. I first began using Napoli's in the very late 60' or very early 70's. Here is a pic of me eating my favorite Chicago style pizza with peppers, pepperoni, double bacon and onion from 73 or 74. Over the years like most restaurants do, their quality started going downhill. But I kept up supporting them they were a hometown restaurant and I had always enjoyed their pizzas and subs so why abandon them there was always a chance they would improve. And their prices have gone through the roof with adds insult to injury. Several months ago I ordered a pizza and when I came they have so haphazardly thrown the toppings on it that there was nothing on any of the outside edges of pizza it was all just piled up in the middle. So I kind of moved around a little bit and ate my pizza, and about a month later I ordered another one and I explain what it happened to the woman who answered the phone to take my order and she said that she would take care of it. Well this must've pissed off the people working in the store because when I got the pizza there was toppings along the outside edges but nothing in the center, it was just a little jab in my ass because I complained. I had attempted to contact the owners of the stores but I've never had any luck every time I would ask to speak to someone at that level I was always blown off by whoever it was answering the phone at their call center. This wasn't just a once or twice thing I try to get a hold of the owners I would imagine 4 to 6 times in the past year. So yesterday I had a fever I didn't feel like fixing anything to eat so I ended up calling Napolis again this time I ordered a Italian sub and a large onion ring just cost me $30 think about that, $30 for one sandwich and one onion ring. So when I opened up the bag I took out the sandwich whoever had made a sandwich had laid the bun out and thrown so much banana peppers with so much pepper juice on it that is completely soaked the bottom of the buns so when I tried to pick it up and eat it it's just simply fell apart. So I got a fork and a knife and that's how I ate the sandwich, but that was not the worst part, I could not even eat the onion rings because they were so burnt you couldn't even chew them. I started to call and file a complaint and ask for another sandwich and onion ring but I knew if I did it's hard to tell what they would've done to the sandwich because there is obviously no supervision in any of their stores none at all. I do not know what these guys do but stand around and play games their entire shift and just throw the sandwiches and pieces together as quickly as possible to get your money and then go home with the evening. It is a damn crying shame that people like this have ruined napolies after all the years that it's been in operation but in a way it has to go all the way back to the owners anyway because they are not requiring their employees to pass on complaints. I cannot imagine having a business like this And not having somebody in charge that has the ability to take charge and do what is right, not having someone hold others accountable, have someone not "watching the store". There is absolutely no supervision at any level in any store that I've been in Napolis in the last decade. So I am done with napolies and that's sad but I'm not throwing my hard-earned money away just for nostalgia when their employees don't give a damn about fixing a decent meal for people. I would love to talk to the owners but I know that will never happen. I have no idea which pizza shop I will use now but it obviously will not be Napolis thank you for allowing me to vent. read more

I ordered a 1/2 pep 1/2 sausage pizza square cut. Got a 1/2 pep 1/2 ham pizza. And to top it off, someone decided to help themselves to a piece before I got it. It's one thing to screw an order up, it happens. But to eat a piece of a someone's pizza and then close the lid and send it out is just embarrassing. I won't be ordering from them again. read more

The food is good, but they are WAY too expensive. A side of bleu cheese is $1.99. Absolutely ridiculous We had an issue with an order where their CSR manager was VERY rude to me and the apologized all over themselves and even sent us a gift card we would order frequently if it weren't so outrageously priced. read more

I honestly don't know how this place stays in business and I'm talking about the entire company. As food quality goes down the prices go up. At this point the food is expensive trash. I ordered a pizza from their store. went to pick it up and the store is closed. I was angry i was supposed to pick-up and take order to my mother's house, and i was hungry and now there was no other place to stop and get food. When i arrived at my destination, no food because the store was CLOSED...I called Napolis to complain about it and they told me the store was open..BS, i shook the front doors with both hands..lights off, doors locked. however, situation was discussed and closed ...one week later again order a pizza to pick up and I was told I was on a do not accept list...ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Napoli's fault and a loyal customer of over 30 years is banned from ordering a $12 pizza,,,what POOR mangement...I don't want or need their pizza, many other places to order from. Pizza quality has been sinking for years anyhow, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE, you will regret it. much better pizza, prices and professionalism elsewhere. read more

I ordered a sandwich and onion rings for delivery. Sub total $9.27 and then came the other charges: Delivery charge - $.76.....Fuel charge - $2.75......tax on all that - $.77 for a total of $13.55. Then the driver called me and I had to guide him to my address while on the phone. Now, I understand the fuel charge that was added when gas prices sky rocketed but PRICES ARE LOW NOW....abut the fuel charge has stayed the same!!!! After I tipped the driver, my sandwich and now soggy onion rings cost me $15.00. I will not order for delivery from them ever again, and since the last pizza I got from them tasted like a frozen one, I think i'll go back to Domino's. Heck, even the $5.00 Little Caesar's was better. read more
