The food is totally unique in the mid Ohio valley! Fantastic flavors, Isabell was a great waitress, and it's the second visit with the same experience both times and different food both times. We started with pork nachos that did not disappoint at all! Next was the most tasty Lobster Bisque I have had with a thinner consistency that was a nice change. The Shrimp and Grits are a rich darker style thick broth... amazing. The Shrimp in this dish and the Creole fettuccine with blackened shrimp snapped as you bit into it, meaning it cooked perfectly! One of us had the Ribeye, and honestly was perfectly prepared at medium and the most flavorful steak I have had in years! Walking out, we saw deserts in the service window... Great food. The owners live in Baton Rouge for several years and they don't disappoint when it comes to the food. From the appetizer that came out quickly to the great food and fast service, we had a terrific experience on a Wednesday night. We ordered the appetizer short rib on mashed potatoes with mushrooms. It was terrific. I ordered the snapper Cajun I believe and she ordered a hamburger, which she claims was one of the best she's ever had no bun no cheese that's what you get when you're gluten-free and dairy free. She also got a bowl of gumbo or something like that. That was good. She couldn't eat the cornbread so I took it and it was very different but very good. We were in and out and under an hour which was impressive no drinks so the meal and tip was just a little over $100. We had a great time. We will definitely come back. read more

Another trip to Ohio means another great dinner! Louis and his team never disappoint. We started with the tuna tower which honestly I think is my favorite item on the menu (tough choice honestly!). Of course the lobster bisque and our daughter insists on the salmon dip, smoky and fresh. Our daughter's boyfriend had the NY Strip, which he insists on every visit. I changed it up and had the Chilean Sea Bass with the crab cake. I recently changed jobs and work in New Orleans 4 days a week. The crab cake was spot on!!!! My hubbie had shrimp and grits. These guys know how to cook creole! We made the mistake of ordering dessert. The mistake was it was so good we devoured almost all of it (huge portions and delicious. The caramel on the cheesecake is ridiculous! We also shared the caramel brownie! One thing is for sure. We came away fat, happy and will live on lettuce for the next week! Not forgetting the service! I can see why Southern Craft is so busy and it took us 2 tries to get in. Definitely the best restaurant in my hometown! Everything tastes fresh and authentic (I have been to NOLA ton and was recently there prior to this visit). [[Fri.30.June.2023 @8:45pm]] My wife & I placed a order for pickup this evening, when i called to put in our order, it was easy and simple to do, we ordered the two evening specials Spaghetti & Charred Grilled Oysters and we also ordered the FireCracker Shrimp on Rice. The staff stated pickup for order would be in 30minutes, which was plenty time to get there and make the pickup, it was little pricey $$$72.00. Once arrived went in to pickup order which was easy, simple and quick, we then headed to Spencers Landing Park ViennaWV to have our meal down by Ohio River. With those, we got cornbread which provided plenty for two people after enjoying the sausage ball and voodoo egg roll appetizers. Rounded it all out with a Pimm's Cup and Sour Shack Cherry cocktail. Favorites from our meal were the gumbo and the egg rolls. All of the seafood there is very fresh - the fried items were not overly greasy. Someone was waiting to open the door for us when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Our server took our order promptly and returned frequently to bus the table which is so rare everywhere these days! The owners Louis and Kristen and their family all work together to make this place run Quite smooth. My husband had Gumbo I ate a steak burger with shoestring fries. I like everything on the menu. My problem is after Cancer and surgeries, I can longer handle the heat and I am allergic to shellfish. The menu will be expanding to more Louisiana favorites. The food was fabulous. I was anxious to try the jambalaya because I've never had it before. It did not disappoint. The flavors were delicious. My friend who took me to dinner had a huge rib eye steak cooked to order. Gracie, our waitress, was spot on with service without trying to rush us in a crowded restaurant. Celebrating several birthdays at Southern Craft. We enjoy the variety of food choices. The service is friendly, prompt and and responsive. The food is tasty and arrived promptly and served at a good temperature. We would have liked a kids menu as the fettuccine with chicken was spicy for an 8 year old. The shrimp and grits was delicious. The oxtail was really good. The gumbo was good but not spicy enough for hubby. The steak burger was good but arrived medium instead of medium well. The fried oysters were good but small. We tried each of the desserts and the banana foster was the tastier. Each could use ice cream instead of whipped cream. read more
