First time here, was looking for a relaxing spot away from the kids for one night on our vacation. We were not disappointed! Restaurant was clean with a great view of the lake. Our server Maura was so much fun and helpful with great menu suggestions. She really made the whole experience. Loved Narcoosee's! We booked a time where we can see both the boat parade and the fireworks so it was a late dinner for me. The food was excellent and service was on par. What can you say negatively about a fantastic restaurant with great food and a wonderful view of Magic Kingdom. Service was very good and the food was excellent. After dinner we walked onto the dock and watched the fireworks launch over Cinderella's castle. Highly suggest you check this place out even if you aren't staying in one of the parks. read more

I want to give this place Five Stars but those are hard to come by from me. If you do self parking you are in for a walk to get to the restaurant. But if you need you can ask for a golf cart ride, awesome service. The staff was very accommodating with everything. They understood we wanted to view the MK show and seated us at a great table to see the show. This was a Mother's Day date and all the mothers received a coronation. Nice touch. It was hard to narrow the choice down but we managed to and what came to the table was all good from the appetizers to the desert. The drinks were on point too. Very nice experience, the service was excellent as was the atmosphere. I started with the Lobster Bisque which was recommended by the server and he wasn't wrong. It was delicious and if it wasn't frowned upon, I would have licked the bowl. My entrée was the Pants Pan-seared Day Boat Scallops. Very flavorful, I'm always nervous ordering scallops because they're easy to overcook, but i knew after the first bite they were cooked perfectly. Dessert is a tricky review, I got the Narcoossee's Candy Bar which tasted great but it was very rich and I tapped out before I got halfway through the dish. The dessert is the only reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars. If this dessert were made smaller it would have been perfect. read more

Disney consistently dispels the myth that their quality suffers because they cater to tourists. Narcoossee's is well executed. Based at the Grand Floridian, expectations will be and should be higher. The location on the lagoon provides close access by boat and terrific views of the water. Service was consistent and the atmosphere pleasant. It is a family restaurant, so while the vast majority of guests were adults, there were a few larger parties with young children who ensured the noise level stayed elevated! I was there relatively early, so I imagine that a little later in the evening there would not have been any issues. The menu was not terribly large and while a seafood restaurant by design, it had plenty of non-surf offerings as well. Portion size was spot on, quality and execution were excellent and even the value was better than expected. Definitely deserving of future visits. read more

It's Disney. I'm not gonna lie, the food in the park is consistently bad, so I'm always a little nervous going anywhere food related on Disney property (except for desserts...they do that right!). I was pleasantly surprised with this place.... I kinda expect the food at expensive (bordering on overpriced) restaurants to not be good. You're paying for the "experience." So going in I didn't really have to many high expectations. We ordered the Calamari app, which was pretty good, mixed with banana peppers and olives. It could have used a tad more tomato sauce to dip in (I do love my sauces!). I started off with a white Sangria, which was fantastic...I really enjoyed the amount of fruit they include in the drink. I ordered the Fall Vegetable Lasagna, which was fantastic! It was full of veggies: eggplant, zucc, squash, mushrooms, peppers, etc. And the cheese....THE CHEESE! it was rich and baked to perfection. I luuuurve the crispy parts that are almost burnt but not quite. An absolute great choice in a dish. I ended with the Mudslide Martini. I was into drinking my dessert and Bailey's just sounded so good. It was also made perfectly. Just the right amount of liquor. YUM-O! I will warn, the service is super duper perky (of course) and you expect it to be stellar all the way through. Not so much. Service IS slow! It would not have been too much of an issue if they would have at least been fast with the drink service (probably most important) but it was slow with everything. Getting a drink, getting an app, getting the food, getting the bill. If you have a tight schedule, this is not the place for you. If you can deal with a leisurely (and I do mean leisurely) meal, you're fine. It's a picturesque place to dine on property that is worth the money for a nice night out! read more

Four of us had dinner here Aug 29, 2018. It was a raining night, but the hospitality inside was warm and made us not care it was pouring raining during our Florida vacation for the 2nd night in a row. It was expected to rain at least another 3 hours and we decide to spend that time eating. My brother ordered a full lobster- the chef cracked it all open prior to it being served. My brother devoured the lobster, said it was perfectly cooked. I had tasted it and agreed. My sister-in-law and I had the scallops- I prefer mine more cooked than she does - again the chef cooked them perfectly as we had ordered them. My honey had the NY strip and said "I love it"! He also said he felt the portion was generous. As a table we also tried the lobster bisque, the mashed potatoes and the Brussel sprouts. My sister-in-law was also celebrating her birthday and had a Disney bday pin on. Our server noticed and delivered to the table a complimentary desert almond crusted cheesecake for us to share! We ordered another one, along with the creme brûlée - all were delicious. All their drinks were generously poured. We had a wonderful server. I wished I could remember her name. I do remember she was from Morocco though. Her service was 5star. The only reason I gave an overall 4 star was due to the loudness where we sat. We sat directly behind the hostess stand and it was slightly annoying to have several people soooo close to the table. It was 5:10pm when we arrived with reservations and the restaurant was barely 1/3 full. We should have been given a better table. Yes, we could have asked for another table, as more people came in and it got louder, but at that point didn't want the fuss. While at Disney if you are torn between Narcoosee's or the California Grill on top of the Contemporary Hotel, do Narcoosee's. Much better chef, especially at a price comparison. The California Grill has the view going for it, but your tummy and wallet will like Narcoosee's better! I ate at California Grill the night before and we spent $560 with 7 people for dinner - no desert and less alcohol. We will go back to Narcoosee's. read more

Luckily for a table of 1, I was able to get a last minute reservation at Narcoossee's. It's located near the waters at the Grand Floridian resort. My server was absolutely a delight and recommended my entire my meal of ahi tuna and almond crusted cheesecake. The ahi tuna wasn't very spicy as she mentioned but I did enjoy every last bite of the meal. It was very fresh, large portion and probably the best ahi tuna I've had. The almond crusted cheesecake is to die for. It puts cheesecake factory to shame. I will not eat at cheesecake factory again now that I've tasted the almond crusted cheesecake at narcoossee's. The crust was the right amount of crispiness to the cheesecake and there was a bit of cake at the bottom. Both dishes are aesthetically placed and beautiful that I didn't want to dig right in. Although I didn't get the window view, I was still seated in a good area where I could see the view of the water. Make sure to take pictures or go outside the balcony for even a better view. read more

We booked a late dinner to be able to watch the fireworks while eating dinner and it was an underwhelming night. First of the plane was not easy to find from the monorail so if you can take the boat you get dropped off right out front. Let me first start by saying I am not a food snob by any means but certain meal price points have certain expectations. For two people under $100 big chain restaurants like Applebee's is the normal expectations. $100-$200 for two people you start to have a certain exception for service and food and over $200 you are in the fine dining zone (or a giant meal) So when my meal here was over $200 I was expecting a higher level of service. Simple thing like having my red wine not poured in a white wine glass and my empty bread basket to be not left on the table until after dessert. The food was good for the price point (a little overprice but it is a disney establishment so it is expected) to sum up my experience I would say it was almost fine dinning quality food with cheap restaurant service (server was friendly) Now for the fireworks, we had good window seats but when the fireworks started a group of people went on the walk way and stood right in front of our view so just know that is a possibility. After talking to other people it seems like this is a hit or miss restaurant and I would probably not go back for another meal. read more

Narcoossee's is a must when visiting Walt Disney World. We always reserve a table about an hour before the fireworks start in Magic Kingdom then enjoy a cocktail and appetizer. Once the fireworks start the restaurant will dim the lights and pipe the fireworks music in so you really get the full experience. We go outside on the restaurant deck to get a fantastic view of the fireworks. I ordered the lobster and my mom got the filet mignon -- both wonderful. The servers are great there too -- they understand the importance of timing the courses -- a lost art in many restaurants these days. This was my 20th visit at Narcoossee's and food has always been amazing. However, tonight's meal was the worst. Ordered the surf and turf with filet mignon upgrade and was absolutely terrible. Filet was ordered medium and was over cooked, fatty and tasted more like sirloin. I've never seen a square filet mignon and server assured me it was filet, but not convinced as I know my meat cuts. My server said she talked to the manager and I could get a free dessert because I was not happy with my meal. When I received the bill, my server advised she was able to speak to a second manager and my dinner meal would not be charged, but I couldn't receive a "free" dessert." The whole experience was not what I expected from this restaurant and worse of all, not one of the two managers ever made it to my table to discuss my meal. A simple solution would have been to give me a new filet mignon and cooked as ordered. Needless to say, I tipped my server for entire meal as it was no fault of hers. Sadly, this is my last visit to Narcoossee's! read more

OK, but not great. Drinks were good and wine list was fine. I had steak and lobster tail and the best thing on the plate were the potatoes. The NY strip was stringy, filled with tendons, and tough. Tasty, yes, but tough. The lobster was worse. I think it was probably undercooked because it refused to come out of the shell. Normally, the lobster pops out and releases, but the meat just wouldn't let go. There are too many good restaurants at Disney to bother with this one. BTW - the meal took over two hours, starting at 5:30 and not ending until 7:30, in a place that was nearly empty. My three-year-old behaved as well as he possibly could be expected, but such a draggged out meal was really uncalled for with a small child. The wife ordered togarishi-spiced tuna and her dish was superb, which is why the dinner earned two stars. Summary: service poor, steak and lobster poor, tuna excellent. Overall two stars read more

The location alone is incredible. Right from the start lobster bisque is hands down best I've ever had. Steaks are quality you'd find in a top steakhouse. The deserts are rich and well thought. Narcoossee's has been one of our best dining experiences in Walt Disney World. We came here 2 months ago for our 4 year wedding anniversary. It is located in a beautiful Gazebo on the Grand Floridan Resort & Spa property. As soon as we walked in the hostess greeted us and congratulated us on our anniversary. Within 5 mins we were seated. Our server was amazing! It was our first time here so she gave us wonderful suggestions on what to try, what are the house favorites and so on. We decided to order the Calamari as an Appetizer and it was delicious! Fried to perfection. As an entree my husband chose the Filet Mignon with King Crab Legs. I ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Both entrees were divine! So delicious! As a desert they surprised us with a complimentary Almond-crusted Cheesecake with Cherry sauce. Now i'm not a cheesecake person but this cheesecake was hands down the bomb! The service was wonderful overall. Now it is pricey but you most definitely get what you pay for. Reservations are strongly recommended! Since we went at night we were able to see the electrical parade they have on the lake and the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. It was an irresistible view! We absolutely love this place! Just a little tip. If you are an annual pass holder you are able to receive 10% off your entire bill! Enjoy! read more

Our son treated us to this wonderful dinner during our Walt Disney vacation. We were seated by the window and had a lovely view of the lake. We started with the lobster bisque and soft shell crab. We had shrimp and garganelli pasta, pork rib chop (which was very big), filet mignon, Maine lobster tail and herb roasted mushrooms (lots of flavor). This restaurant is located on the Grand Floridian resort which makes it really convenient for those staying on the property. Reservations is definitely recommended. In the sitting area before being seated is where the bathrooms are at which is nice because you don't have to walk through the restaurant to get to one. They have seating areas to wait while the table is getting ready. You can also see part of the kitchen which is interesting. The exec chef is standing there to check on the orders. They have an amazing display of Nemo and all the wonders under the sea made of colored white chocolate which is absolutely beautiful. The ambience of the ambience of the restaurant is pretty casual which is nice for tourists and those just wanting to catch a quick dinner before bed (like myself). The menu is decent, ranging from steaks to seafood and pasta. The prices aren't too bad. My fiancé and I decided to go with the surf and turf which was about $40. It's not something that would blow your mind but it is a bit better than some of the chain restaurants you can find. The view is really nice because winces it's on the resort, there is a big lake and we were able to see the sunset and watch some of the boats and yacht go by. It was a nice dinner. If I had other choices, I might go with that but it was convenient. read more

The nautical themed restaurant's menu offers fresh seafood and their signature dish a surf and turf a whole Maine lobster and filet that costs almost as much as a one day ticket to the park. Since I deal with $ and not in £ went for the humble halibut perfectly golden brown and moist inside with marble potatoes, cauliflower florets it was quite good. Came here for our anniversary. We were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne. Best grouper I've ever tasted. My husband ordered a steak which was phenomenal! The service was excellent! I wish that it lived up to its fine dining category. Being in Disney I guess I shouldn't have been surprised but there were people dining that were really dressy and others that came in from the parks in their workout attire. My wife and I stopped by Narcoossee's last night without a reservation and were able to get a spot right at the bar. Service was friendly, superb and immediate. I disagree with another review which said the bread was just "okay" -- it was excellent with a crunchy crust and great texture inside (served with butter sprinkled with sea salt). I had the Ahi Tuna -- there was a little heat to it (spice) but not so much that you couldn't taste the vegetables. My wife had the swordfish and we finished up with Mango sorbet and the baked chocolate mousse. All in all an excellent meal with large portions. Like we have experienced at other Disney restaurants, when we mentioned my wife's food allergies, the chef came out and personally helped with the menu. read more

While staying near Disney, we had to come back for dinner at Narcoossee's. Knowing that you couldn't get a reservation for days, we decided to try our luck just stopping in. Maybe we could at least get a drink at the bar. We came in last Sunday about 8pm and while all tables were booked, the host said he would do his best since there was only 2 of us. They sat us at open seats at the bar and had great service from the bartender Scott from Buffalo, NY. When our table was ready, they sat us by the window where we could see the nightly fireworks over the lake. Our server Tom was excellent and let us sample some different wines to decide what we liked. The dinner was the best of our trip by far. I got the surf and turf (filet and lobster tail) and my lay got the 2+ pound fresh lobster cracked for easy, clean eating. Delicious. Though a pricey meal, It's worth it. read more

Let me start out stating I have eaten in a lot of WDW restaurants and this one my very easily be the best meal I have ever eaten. First off the location and the view is perfect for a nice romantic setting. This was the place I chose the night of proposing ti my now finance. We both had the Surf N Turf with the Filet Mignon and Butter Poached Lobster Tail. It was amazing. The Lobster Tail literally melted in my mouth. Best I have ever had. The dessert was equally as fantastic. The Almond Crusted Cheesecake was the best cheesecake I have ever had. This is coming from someone who lives in NY and has had the best cheesecake.
