Bring your appetite. This all-you-can eat barbecue restaurant serves delicious grilled and smoked foods by the skillet-full, including tasty sides and several plant-based options. It is a themed restaurant, so there are some kooky antics by the servers and staff -- be prepared to be involved, but not so much that you can't enjoy your meal. My mom and I decided to try this restaurant since I have an enhanced discount this summer as a Disney passholder. If we were a bigger group or had kids with us, they might have tried to involve us in the shenanigans a bit more (I'm not sure). But we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and drinks! Self-parking is free and easy with a dining reservation if you aren't a guest at the resort. You can also park for free at Disney Springs and take a free bus to the Wilderness Lodge (the restaurant is in the lobby). After your meal, you can also walk around the resort along the lake. And if the timing is right (like it was for us), you can ride the boat to the Magic Kingdom roundtrip and watch the nightly fireworks from the water.

A super crazy and fun place to eat... especially if you have kids with you. There are shenanigans happening during the whole meal. Super noisy and fun! The servers are outstanding... friendly... and full of great suggestions. We had the moonshine drink and a pina colava. Both were delish! My husband had two rounds of the meat skillet and I had the salmon and it was super tasty. We were too full for dessert!

The food here is amazing,. Service is hilarious! Don't ask for ketchup, you will get all of it. LOL. Tge ambiance is loud, busy and louder. Can't hear yourself think. I think I lost another decimal of hearing. Be prepared with ear protection. I had the avocado toast and it was delicious! Loved the pickled onions on top. The hickey waffles are cute. The horse race was funny and one of the servers, after cleaning a table yelled, "There is did my job" while pointing at the table she just cleared. lol.

Came here for breakfast before taking a boat to the Magic Kingdom. You can park there and go straight to the park. No need to remove your car. Service is very interesting. They do pretend to be mean and sarcastic. Which is an interesting touch. Ambiance is very unique as well. Place is also very spacious if you are coming with a big group of friends, or family. I had some egg white frittata and a fruit cup. A fruit cup was super lame, it had some old cantaloupe. They did have Mickey waffles which my son loved. My husband had a pork sandwich which was good as well. Overall a pretty delicious place compared to other places in Disney, I would say my favorite during a weekend in Disney.

The Whispering Canyon Cafe is a fun Disney resort restaurant with great service and food. The atmosphere is so fun and you will be laughing the whole meal. The barbecue and drinks were excellent and we loved having the ability to ask for more of the things we loved. Definitely give this place a try if you are looking for a good time and some good food on your next Disney trip.

This is one of my top restaurants on Disney property. I've been here a few times and I've never had a bad experience. The food is absolutely delicious. I've come for lunch dinner and even brunch. The food is fantastic. And the quality never disappoints. The staff are really awesome. They make the experience so cool and so fun. Everyone always has a fun time and it's always a fun interactive experience no matter what time of day. Definitely worth a visit for locals and those visiting. The fort wilderness resort is also so stunning and just a really amazing resort. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant and then take a nice walk around the resort.

I love the spunkiness of the employees here; funny but not overly harsh. Bbq is a main focus but about four other dishes and four apps available. I got the salad and added protein/salmon (not on the menu but available). It had a couple different tastes, good--but not the best I've had. It needed a sauce or more seasoning. The drink was also good but not the best ever. Our server was great and did an awesome job living up to the theme. Ask for ketchup and join the horse race.

I had so much fun here. Initially, I was a bit nervous because I'm introverted and it's known that the servers here mess with you on purpose. But our dinner ended up being so so so fun and hilarious. We had a birthday boy in the group and so of course we had a "birthday party" for him. Our server was so funny and entertaining. For food we each ordered the skillets which are all you can eat bbq. The skillet sizes get progressively bigger if more of your group shares the same skillet type. For instance, if all four of you order the Traditional Skillet, they'll bring a large skillet to share and put it right in the middle of the table. The bigger the skillet...the more fun :) The bbq was great. Beef brisket was my favorite. I noticed a lot of tables were for four people so if you have five or more, reservations can be a bit difficult to procure. And don't be afraid to ask for ketchup haha

Great service. Honestly the staff is so fun and was great. This is somewhere we will definitely return to. We decided to do Whispering Canyon as our checkout day breakfast before hitting the road. Everything was got was pretty tasty and as expected. We got the heritage and it was a good mix of food for breakfast with biscuit, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and waffle. The Mickey waffle is a staple, and was your standard Mickey waffle. The biscuits were where it was at in my opinion. I also got the mimosa flight and highly recommend. Lots of good food for the price and a fun experience.

We came here for dinner the first night of our trip and had a great experience. We ordered the plant based all you care to enjoy skillet and everything was pretty good. We also got the chocolate cake for dessert which was also pretty good. Our server was excellent. Since we were a group of all adults and not really playing into the gag she didn't mess with us too much, but still gave us a hard time when she stopped by. We did have fun watching some of the other tables do silly gags but none of us would have gotten up for one.

Now this really is one of the best places you can get breakfast anywhere at Disney and it's all because of those skillets! We have came here a few times now and let me say those skillets do it right as you start off with a whole one and then whatever off of them you want more of they just keep bringing it all out to you until you just can't eat anymore! We ordered one of each The Carnivore And The Heritage one was all breakfast goodies and the other was all BBQ goodness which made for a nice brunch style when mixing them together one of my favorites things I made of them was a chicken waffle sandwich it was super good and just a fun experience to make something cool and yummy out of those already delicious mouse waffles! Everything on both of the skillets was yummy like honestly I really can't just pick one thing and say I liked it more than the other as it all was just delicious so grab a friend or a few and share all the goodness they give you because it's honestly quite a lot! If you ask for ketchup you will be brought all of them from the many tables in the room it's one of those things they do here to create an ambiance as well as galloping around the dinning room on wooden horses as they just create a whole fun vibe here for all to enjoy alongside those delicious skillets! Overall this really is a hidden gem in what I feel is a overlooked Disney resort as every time I come here I'm reminded why this is one of my favorite spots to grab breakfast at one of the most chill resorts in all of WDW so do yourself a favor and get here already you'll leave full happy and have had a ton of fun starting your day!

There's no actual whispering here at Whispering Canyon! We stayed at Wilderness Lodge and "came home" hungry as anything after a very long day of travel. It was very easy to switch our reservation to arrival day from our original slot too. If you're coming here, def come hungry as the skillets are AYCE AND! AND! A vegan option?! SIGN ME UP. One of my fave things about Disney is how dietary friendly they are! Whatever concerns you have they will meet. The vegan cornbread was BOMB. Calamity Kate even said it's way better than the non vegan version (and she wasn't a vegetarian or a vegan so this may be a secret, shhhh!) The alcoholic drinks are STRONG here, fair warning. It was a bit too strong, in my opinion. If you are looking for a place where it's ok that the kids are yelling/crying/overtired and the servers may or may not be into the "performance" aspect of the Whispering Canyon, than this is the place for you! Don't expect quiet, but expect silly shenanigans. And make sure you ask for ketchup! A must if you're staying at Wilderness Lodge.

Do the breakfast skillets come with any fruit on the side? Has anyone been here for breakfast with the DP? I know it's table service but will you just get a skillet and a drink?

If you order The Ligher Side it does. If you order one of the others, I am sure they can accommodate fruit since it's listed as a side on the menu.

Is the Plant based skillet an option for breakfast as well?

Can we order the plant based skillet at lunch? We see it on the dinner menu but not the lunch menu. Thanks

Yes, you can. As a Disney Travel Agent, I have made reservations several times at this restaurant and they can handle any dietary needs including plant base diets. Just let your server know you need a plant base meal and she will get the chef out so…

The menu is preset so be aware of that going in, but the menu is pretty kid (and adult) friendly as it's Thanksgiving themed. The interior is beautiful and it's a nice, relaxing spot to eat at for a break. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out pretty quick. As a heads up this is an all you can eat establishment (for around $40-45 bucks a head) so you can eat to your heart's desire. The meal starts off with their house salad featuring greens, apples, cranberries, and cheese all tossed together. It was surprisingly much better than we thought it would be and if not for maximizing what we ate while there we wouldn't have minded getting more. Following up the salad is a feast of: roasted turkey, pot roast, pork loin, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and Mac and cheese. We absolutely dove in. The turkey was alright, not dry (a huge plus) with the pot roast being a much better option in our opinion. The pork loin was delicious with a nice sweet glaze on it. The mac and cheese likewise was good and creamy along with a savory and filling stuffing. The only misses we would say were the mashed potatoes which felt thin and flavorless and then the green beans which really just took up space. For dessert they have their oooey gooey toffee cake which is very sweet but admittedly difficult to put down after the main course. It's not overly sweet too which is nice to finish your meal on. By the end of our meal we were stuffed and ready to tackle the rest of the night. We would say for the price this might not be the best option for those doing Disney on a budget but if you are a pro at making buffets stretch then this is a decent deal. A solid, filling meal all around and one that is very palette friendly for all.

If you ever find yourself strolling through Magic Kingdom with a craving for comfort food that…read morefeels like Thanksgiving at Grandma's... let me point you straight to the duo of The Diamond Horseshoe and Liberty Tree Tavern. What many guests don't realize is that the Diamond Horseshoe isn't just a quick-service stop or a random overflow location--it's actually an extension of Liberty Tree Tavern, sharing the same kitchen and serving up the exact same all-you-care-to-enjoy feast. The difference? You're dining in a space that once hosted a full-on dinner show, complete with musical performances. Today, the stage still lives on with an automated piano, giving just a hint of that old-school Disney charm. Honestly, I would've loved to experience it in its heyday. Now let's talk about the real star of the show: the food. This is classic, hearty, family-style comfort food done right. Your meal kicks off with a fresh salad, and then comes the main event--a platter that feels like it was prepared for royalty. We're talking tender pot roast, juicy pork loin, creamy mashed potatoes, and rich, homemade mac and cheese. Everything is refillable, so come hungry. And just when you think you're done... enter the legendary ooey gooey toffee cake. Warm, sweet, and absolutely worth saving room for. It's the kind of dessert that makes you pause mid-bite and go, "yeah... this is why we came." What really makes this experience shine is the value. At around $45 for adults and $24 for kids, it's one of the better table-service deals in the park--especially for an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal that the whole family can get behind. Our son loved it, which always seals the deal. A little Disney history moment: back in the day, the Diamond Horseshoe featured a musical revue similar to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. That ran until 2003, when it transitioned into additional seating for Liberty Tree Tavern. The theming today is slightly different, but the menu and quality remain consistent. Pro tip (from a Cast Member): if you're eligible, that 40% discount for breakfast and dinner makes this an absolute steal. At the end of the day, this is one of those experiences that feels like home--just with a little extra Disney magic sprinkled on top. So pull up a chair, pass the mashed potatoes, and enjoy a family-style feast right in the heart of the most magical place on earth.
