Stopped in here for the first time this year. We were early for our move-in time so we stopped in for a drink before heading back over to Surf City. There was plenty of parking and the place was pretty empty (it was around lunchtime) so we grabbed a seat and liked over the food and drink menus. We decided we would wait to eat and just ordered drinks - an LBI Lemonade, a Spicy Margarita and a Sweet Heat. The drinks were ok...pretty sweet and didn't seem very strong, but they tasked fine. Our waitress was very friendly, even joked about being a bit hung over, but just remember...it's LBI...you're paying island prices. read more

Nardi's is our go to place with friends visiting or just a quick bite. Prices are reasonable , food is very good and the atmosphere is great. Friendly staff and customers. I recommend Nardi's all the time. When we go for late night I don't mind the cover charge because I know the bus is available. It's great to see an island institution still keeping it real. read more

Came here for dinner with my family during off hours. Well we were back the next day for take our back to Long Island. Food is so delicious. The staff are funny and attentive. Hmm. I will say everyone should go once (for drinks, not food lol) just for the sake of it! It's an LBI staple, sure, and it's nice they still have the bus running. Let's start with: it's the bouncer; not the bar. First, I understand paying the DJ or band (but it's clearly the tail end of the night...) , so not *necessarily* mad at the cover. Been coming here for years, we are all used to their $10 cover charge. I simply think its comical because the bouncer (who's attention *I* had to get, since they were on the phone, ((AirPods in)) & not at the stool/register/foyer) said "TEN dollars" after *I* got *his* attention (probably could have just walked in tbh, he was just a body that wasn't at his post lol / had no idea what was going on- I respectfully got HIS attention to let him know we are entering). There were two of us by the way. Only words: "TEN dollars" I politely said "oh, even this late?" (12:45am) as I reached for my wallet. His response? "Now TWENTY each". How crazy is that. If he said $20 each from the beginning, i still would have asked "oh, even this late" and gladly still paid, just like we stilllllll paid on this visit.... The difference is I wouldn't have felt like we were being extorted for extra cash and wouldn't have felt compelled enough to leave this review. Sooo what happened? Idk either! The bouncer was bothered by a question? Or maybe he realized we were a (pretty hetero) same sex couple? Or it's just that his colleagues / whoever finally wasn't watching and he could simply 'get away with it'? Either way, the correct information would've felt better than feeling strong armed at the entrance of a business you are about to spend (even more) money inside of. So based on this lovely greeting, what I gather from this terrible experience at the entrance, is that the extra $20 ($10 each) should be in Nardi's register, not his pocket. So, TLDR: The bouncer, (new this season, 90% sure) probably owes Nardi's a fair amount of $ if my guess ‍ You know what's a shame? A bouncer stealing from the business. You know what's a bigger shame? A bouncer stealing from the business AND the customers. You know what's the BIGGEST shame? The bouncer is (usually) the first person you meet and the last person you meet. The *first* impression was terrible enough to confirm it will be the *last* impression for us. PS - some options for a better face for the business: My Uber driver home, a literal turtle, Elmo, bozo the clown, any 15 year old kid who scoops ice cream on the island or a straight up sign would probably be more profitable for the business. read more

In the winter they get a solid crowd to come out on a Friday happy hour which has a legit $9 and under list of bar favorites. The guy on acoustic guitar was great.. didn't catch his name but played those soft rock hits from the 70s 80s 90s and more. 98.3 WMGQ would have been proud. It got late so I caved and got some food. Nardi's is a neighborhood bar that happens to have food. In that context, everything was decent. Burgers were fine and meatball parm ok. Boneless wings were right out of the freezer and into the deep fryer. Be warned - if ya ask for extra ranch for dipping, you will be charged! Good draft beer selection. Lively atmosphere. Three of us had dinner yesterday we split a large clam pizza and Nardi Rubens. The food was very good fun atmosphere good service and fair prices. *Late Night Review* After wandering the island for far too long and realizing that most bars were closed, we eventually stumbled upon Nardi's. Well more accurately we saw the shuttle going by and decided we needed to follow. There was a modest cover which I paid because where else were we going? Bar was pretty dark but I found my way easily. There were a lot of choices on tap, plus mixed drinks. I nursed a couple before calling it quits. The cover presumably went towards the music. The front entry area became a makeshift dance floor, populated by people of various ages. Nardi's was not my favorite spot on LBI but you cannot beat the availability. Did I mention the kitchen was open late too? That was clutch for my friends. read more

My friend had a private party in the upstairs.... Party was good, bartender was attentive. We were told bus would take us home at 9pm, we went outside at 9:15 to which we were told the bus won't come till 9:45. It was cold and windy, so we went inside to wait, and they told us it would be a $20 cover per person to come back inside... after we just spent hundreds of dollars on a private party. We have (2) Seasonal houses here on LBI for 40+ years. Our party of (5) arrived at 3pm for 3-6 HH... Draft Beer Menus were not provided, and when we did order our (5) HH items, they took a long time . Bar was empty. Upon HH food arrival, we were informed that we were required to finish our food/ drinks by 5pm for a "Reserved Party" .. NO signs, or NOTICE was given. Appalling disgusting service and comments from waiter! Spent a night here with a group of friends. Our waiter was very rude and unprofessional during the entire dining experience. We spent over $236 here and gave the waiter a 17% tip based on the level of service provided. Upon leaving, the waiter SHOUTED across the bar "WAS THE SERVICE BAD, MY TIP IS UNDER 20%" to which we responded "You got the tip you deserved." He then yelled "BITCH" and walked into the back. This was in front of other patrons. Save your money and time. The food was cold, the place was dirty, and the staff provided extremely low level service. He is lucky we even gave him a tip. We had a nice summer dinner with friends at Nardi's, and everything was good. The service was fine, and we were able to grab a table under the tent. The beer list was pretty meh, with only main label offerings and only one or two local craft choices, which was unfortunate. Food was good, although the meal was more expensive than one would have thought - summer prices in season. Sadly, there was a distinct MAGA element that was pretty obnoxiously anti-mask, and the management not only didn't address it (even as simple as asking customers to wear masks correctly or to attempt to socially distance) but seemed to silently cosign and embrace it. Food was good, and our waitress was awesome. Wings were yummy, and I enjoyed my grilled blackened mahi mahi sandwich with avocado. I know there isn't a ton that the place can do about the patrons dining with them, but covid protocols are either a real thing to be respected or a roll of the eyes joke, and sadly on our initial time there it was more the latter. read more

This bar will serve you water instead of alcohol. We ordered 3 rounds of vodka sodas however we were clearly served us water. Our group was having a great time and enjoying the band but when we confronted the owner about the situation we were told to get the f*ck without any sort of explanation or compensation. This establishment displayed extremely poor customer service and I, nor any person from my group, will be returning. This is a lack luster dive bar and nothing else. read more

I should've known when they had a free shuttle bus and an empty parking lot that I was in for a real treat. It really hit me once we were given paper plates to share appetizers with. I don't believe anything here is fresh. The guacamole and salsa was definitely out of a jar. We ordered buffalo cauliflower and it came out fried! I feel like that's something that should've been specified on the menu. Never in my life have I've seen it fried. The fries were disgusting and I'm glad I got tacos at happier hour and only paid $6 instead of $11. The waitress also never brought me fries as I ordered (they weren't on the bill though). Other than that the waitress was great and only positive review. Not the restaurants fault but there were young girls talking about having chlamydia and slurping soda loudly so it really didn't help. Looking for a great time on LBI? Nardi's is sure to deliver. I moved to the east coast almost a year ago, and have been looking for an excuse to make the hour and a half drive to LBI. When my neighbors rented a house and graciously offered to host me, I couldn't drive here fast enough! Their rental property was two blocks from Nardi's, so naturally we knew we'd be hanging here for the night. We were pretty bummed when we got there before ten were charged a cover. The place was dead and the band, who later showed up and performed, hadn't even arrived yet. Nevertheless, we paid, and grabbed one of the many empty seats at the bar. Crowds finally began to arrive around 10:30-11 - several bachelor/ bachelorette parties came and quickly filled the bar. The cover band was great, playing a wide variety of jams. Not sure what drinks go for here because my tab was covered (best day ever!!) The crowd was a mix of awkward middle aged white men, typical Jersey Shore fist-pumpers, and women of all ages. Nardis is a true staple of Long Beach Island. My family and I have been coming here for years. Its always our tradition to stop at Nardis for breakfast before we get the keys to our rental house. Yes Nardis is open early for Breakfast on the weekends at 9am. Best part they serve the BEST Bloody Marys. The breakfast is outstanding and very reasonably priced. Its far superior than Uncle Wills or the Chicken & the Egg. Nardis is not only know for there breakfast but for there all day menu, the nightly specials are awesome and you cant beat the Fish of the Day. Here a little secret they have the Best Pizza on the Island!!! We love Nardis and love the fact that you can order food to 1am. Full menu too. Over all its one of the Best Bars on the Island, with amazing bartenders and servers. I recommend this bar to everyone I know. read more

I'm from New York and wound up at Nardi's to end my night my first weekend in LBI. And boy do I wish I hadn't. The band downstairs and DJ upstairs was a good touch until the DJ upstairs starting playing slow songs like Wrecking Ball. Then he followed it up with Cotton-Eye Joe?? Felt like I was at a 6th grade school dance. The worst part though? The upstairs bar service. There was one woman working who took, not an exaggeration, 5-10 minutes to serve one person a drink. What a sad change of pace to what I'm used to in Manhattan. If you're gonna go here just stay downstairs and bite the bullet of the live band slaughtering your favorite songs growing up. read more
